Welcome to another exciting chance to add your ideas and dreams to Mithril's LOTR miniatures. Post your suggestions here. ONE per member.
This month's ideas is for single figures only, so no mounted or Vignettes (more than 2 people or a lot of furniture + two people) please. A mounted figure counts as two figures (horse/camel/warg/etc)
The only other restriction is that the figures MUST conform to our license, so NO Silmarillion based characters are allowed. They have to be in the Hobbit or LOTR books. The final say is ours and no arguement will be allowed. Ask if you are worried about its eligiability.
Please submit ideas in the following format ONLY:
IDEA TITLE
"this is why I think 'Idea Title' is a good idea for this month..."
Make the title stand out (within reason) and separate from any supportive text by a paragragh. This will prevent Chris accidently overlooking it when he compiles the voting list later on. Otherwise it could be mistaken as a comment not a new suggestion.
Please add some quotes about where it is mentioned or give descriptions to promote your suggestion. Even add a picture or submit it to me to add to the gallery page. If you drum up support NOW, the you have a much better chance when it is time to vote.
Voting will begin on the 14th of September (first round). We stop taking suggestions at 16.00 GMT on the 13th.
You may add comments about other members suggestions as well. If you post any suggestions elsewhere it may not be seen or credited. Please post any suggestions in English. (That is all I can respond in, sorry). If you have any questions then post in the other thread provided for such questions.

This month, I will once again nominate Ranger of the North, hunting enemies A ranger, armed with a bow or spear, stalks through the bare trees of Rhudaur, hunting enemies. Hooded, cloaked, swathed in fur but with his ranger star at his throat. He has a thin, handsome face, hair worn long under the hood. He has a mail shirt over a wool tunic. The figure has elements of the Watcher at Sarn Ford, the MS Female Ranger and parts of the Rangers of Ithilien series. Some inspiration!

I suggest again for the "Battle at Helms Deep" Theme
Huorn of Fangorn Forest devouring orc/ Uruk-Hai
Thanks to all fellowship fellows who liked and voted for the idea last month!
It is a big mystery what has happenend after the Battle of Helm's Deep with all the surviving and fleeing half orcs and Uruk Hai of Sarumans Army as in the morning the Huorns were gone and no body of the enemy was to be found in the valley – only trampled grass and soil
So it could be a nice special fellowship miniature to depict what could have happened in the night
I imagine a figure more treelike, not that personnal as an ent, but with recognizable head, maybe limbs like arms and legs like M190 Huorn Killer Tree in an angry / fierce pose which has somewhere a part of the body of an orc figure - maybe the head, breast and one arm still outside the "body" of the Huorn or the body of the orc under his "foot/roots"
Like the imagination of Hobbit's legs and feet still outside the tree-trunk at the encounter with Old Man Willow
Or the very hideous pose when the Huorn is going to swallow the orc figure with a wide mouth like a serpent, just legs outside or arms and head...
In any case it should be one figure on one base - not two seperate ones of course and not with a difficult amount of branches and leaves
About Huorns
Some creatures are almost like trees. The only difference is that they can move, and pretty fast too. There are many of them in Fangorn, and they communicate with the ents. They are not ents, but huorns. Their worst enemy are the orcs, due to their heedless axing of trees. They are accounted by many ents as dangerous. This is proved when Huorn take their well-earned revenge on the orcs. During the battle at Helm's deep, the Huorns travelled down to get rid of Uruk Hai, Saruman's orcs. The Company found a strange forest outside Helm's deep after the battle, which wasn't there before. Gandalf and Legolas were the only ones that understood that this wasn't wizardry, but a forest of Huorns.

Gwaith-i-Mírdain artisanThe Gwaith were founded by Celebrimbor and settled in Eregion. Gwaith-i-Mírdain means "Brotherhood of Jewel-smiths" in Sindarin (from gwaith = "host, people" and mírdain = "jewel-smiths"). Their capital was Ost-in-Edhil (S.A. 750). They stood close to the Dwarves of Khazad-dûm and their mithril mines. They cooperated for about a thousand years, and their rare friendship was the closest between Elves and Dwarves in history. Celebrimbor helped to construct the famous and magical West-gate of Moria. They were said to be the most talented artisans to have worked since the time of Fëanor himself (who was Celebrimbor's grandfather). Sauron after failing with Gil-galad and Elrond, targeted the Gwaith. In the guise of Annatar the "Lord of Gifts" in S.A. 1200 he presented himself as an agent of the Valar and taught them how to forge the Rings of Power. The Gwaith were easily tempted since they wanted to bring to Middle-earth the joys of Valinor. The Rings would prevent or slow the decay of the mortal world, preserve what is desired or loved and also enhance the natural powers of a possessor even if that would mean disrupting the natural course of the mortal world. The Gwaith together with "Annatar" made several rings in S.A. 1500. Because of their friendship with the Dwarves, Celebrimbor presented King Durin III with a Ring of Power. When Annatar had left (actually for Mordor) about S.A. 1590 Celebrimbor made the Three Rings partly using the teachings of "Annatar". Then Sauron betrayed them and forged the One Ring. However the Gwaith realized his plan and denied to hand him their Rings, resulting in the War of the Elves and Sauron. Eregion was devastated and the survivors of the Gwaith retreated to Rivendell. I will leave to the imagination of Chris the final pose of the artisan, but the idea is to make something different than the MS225 figure: more ´artisan` and less ´blacksmith` (if you understand me) Regards.

GIRION
He has been suggested before by others besides me. He is one of the few named figures not produced yet by Chris.
A Lord of Dale who enjoyed the friendship of the Dwarves of nearby Erebor. Girion was a wealthy lord, and Dale in his time was said to contain many fine things. He owned a famous necklace said to be made from five hundred emeralds, which he gave in payment to the Dwarves for a marvellous mail coat they created for his eldest son.
Girion's prosperous rule came to a sudden end when the Dragon Smaug descended on Erebor. Dale was also laid waste, and Girion was slain, but his wife and younger son were able to escape down the River Running to Esgaroth. There they and their descendants remained, until nearly two hundred years later Girion's descendant Bard succeeded in slaying the Dragon and rebuilding his ancestor's township of Dale. (Encyclopedia of Arda).

Let's try once again.... Manhur was suggested more than 10 times so... why not too see what would happend this time with this suggestion...
Vidugavia - Prince of Rhovanion
Vidugavia was the most powerful leader of the Northmen during the 1200s of the Third Age. He used the title King of Rhovanion although his realm encompassed only the part of Rhovanion
Appendix A of The Lord of the Rings: "Gondor and the Heirs of Anarion," p. 326-27

The (drunken) Captain of the Guard (hic!) ;D Not sure if he has been suggested before, but I'll suggest the Captain of the Guard of Thranduil's dungeons. As this is a singles month he would be standing (not straight), helmet skew-whiff on his head and a silly expresion on his face. Holding a large flagon of the best Dorwinion wine in one hand he could be gesturing to an unseen Galion the butler, enjoying an elvish joke maybe. An important factor would be a large bunch of dungeon keys attached to his belt. Being the Captain of the guard his weapon would probably be a sword sheathed at his side, but he could have a spear held in the crook of his arm to add a bit of interest.

Thank you Sir! ;D
If it gets the popular vote this is one of those ideas that only Chris can pull off so well with his interpretation of ideas.

[glow=red,2,300]Barrow-Wight Warlord[/glow] History: The Barrow-downs were the most ancient burial site of Men. Comprised of dome-shaped hills crowned with monoliths and rings of white stone, the area became the resting place for the Kings of Men of the First Age. For many ages the burial site was a sacred and revered place until many terrible and tortured spirits ventured forth from the Witch-kingdom of Angmar in search of new bodies to inhabit. And so the remains of the once great kings became the hosts of these evil spirits known as the Barrow-wights.
Description: The foul spirit inhabits the remains of a once great warlord. It’s equipped with the finest plate armor of its time. A great helm, tilted slightly forward, covers the demon’s shadowy face, while a long, once regal cape stretches from its metal shoulders to the cold stony floor of the burial vault . Dangling from one gauntlet is a sword and the other an axe. Below the waist, to about knee level, remnants of rich fabrics and bits of gold chain float weightlessly. The armored specter does not walk. Instead, it silently glides towards its prey…like so much animated steel.
