Welcome to another exciting chance to add your ideas and dreams to Mithril's LOTR miniatures. Post your suggestions here. ONE per member.
This month's ideas is for single figures only, so no mounted or Vignettes (more than 2 people or a lot of furniture + two people) please. A mounted figure counts as two figures (horse/camel/warg/etc)
The only other restriction is that the figures MUST conform to our license, so NO Silmarillion based characters are allowed. They have to be in the Hobbit or LOTR books. The final say is ours and no arguement will be allowed. Ask if you are worried about its eligiability.
Please submit ideas in the following format ONLY:
IDEA TITLE
"this is why I think 'Idea Title' is a good idea for this month..."
Make the title stand out (within reason) and separate from any supportive text by a paragragh. This will prevent Chris accidently overlooking it when he compiles the voting list later on. Otherwise it could be mistaken as a comment not a new suggestion.
Please add some quotes about where it is mentioned or give descriptions to promote your suggestion. Even add a picture or submit it to me to add to the gallery page. If you drum up support NOW, the you have a much better chance when it is time to vote.
Voting will begin on the 13th of July (first round). We stop taking suggestions at 16.00 GMT on the 12th.
You may add comments about other members suggestions as well. If you post any suggestions elsewhere it may not be seen or credited. Please post any suggestions in English. (That is all I can respond in, sorry). If you have any questions then post in the other thread provided for such questions.

Once again:
MAUHUR!!!
Many beside myself have suggested him in the past, and I believe it is probably time to have the most obviously missing Orc produced by Chris. I will add details to his discription during the voting.

Thank you for that Thingol, and karma for your links (as long as we didn't abolish karma it may as well be given when useful info and ideas are presented)!

Allright - as there is the snow-troll already suggested now and it was suggested also as a single figure before I go on to suggest something that isn't there in the Mithril range so far: Dead Men of Dunharrow – Standart bearer with banner and horn
The way is shut. It was made by those who are Dead. And the Dead keep it. The way is shut. In J. R. R. Tolkien's high fantasy world of Middle-earth, the Dead Men of Dunharrow (also referred as the Shadow Host, the Grey Host, the oathbreakers, or simply the Dead) were the shades of Men of the White Mountains (Ered Nimrais), who were cursed to remain in Middle-earth by Isildur after they abandoned their oath to aid him in the War of the Last Alliance. They were formerly known as the Men of the Mountains, and they were related to the Dunlendings.
At the end of the Second Age, their king, known as the King of the Mountains, pledged allegiance to Isildur at the Stone of Erech (Erech was a hill where the latter had set a black spherical monolith from Númenor, half protruding from the ground).
However, these Men refused to aid Isildur in his war against Sauron, for they had worshipped the Dark Lord during the Dark Years. Isildur said that they would not have peace or rest till they fulfilled their oath upon his command or that of his heirs. During the War, they came to the aid of neither side, but hid in the mountains.
Their spirits haunted the caverns beneath the Dwimorberg, the Haunted Mountain, and the valley of Harrowdale that lay in its shadow —though they were said to appear in the valley only in times of trouble or death, haunting the hill of the Stone of Erech.
Malbeth the Seer prophesied that a day would come when need and haste would drive one of Isildur's heirs to take the Paths of the Dead and that the Dead would answer to his call. Thousands of years later, in the final years of the Third Age, that prophecy was fulfilled. In the War of the Ring, Aragorn, Isildur's heir and direct descendant, called upon the Dead, summoning them to the stone of Erech, and commanded them to fulfil their oath and be free. On this occasion, he first uses the royal banner of Gondor, made by Arwen and delivered to him by Halbarad and the Grey Company.
They followed him through Gondor's lands and fiefs south of the Mountains, and at the port of Pelargir they drove away the Corsairs of Umbar, allies of Sauron. Having fulfilled their oath, Aragorn granted them their freedom, and they vanished at last from the world. After this, Aragorn gathered the warriors of the region to him. They sailed to Minas Tirith on the Corsairs' own ships, and saved the day at the Battle of the Pelennor Fields. The Men of the Shadow Host appeared to be grey shades; some still rode ghostly horses, but all moved at the same speed. They bore swords and spears and banners, and answered a horn-call with their own horns. However, they did not need weapons (it is left vague whether they and their weapons are "material" at all), for their primary weapon was fear.J. R. R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings, The Return of the King, Chapter "The Muster of Rohan"So I think it would be a nice creepy miniature on foot, why not a combination between "standart bearer and "musician" the spear or staff with the ragged banner of the army in the left hand and a horn in the right, ready for a frightening horn call to answer the call of Aragorn at the stone of Erech. This miniature will be a superb addition to the King of the Dead (MS439) and the mounted ghost rider (MS498) I have send a scetch to Michael and he has put it in the gallery, thanks! Please have a look how the standard bearer can look like: www.mithril.ie/Fellowship/gallery.html "The Dead are following," said Legolas. "I see shapes of Men and of horses, and pale banners like shreds of cloud, and spears like winter-thickets on a misty night. The Dead are following."
"Yes, the Dead ride behind. They have been summoned," said Elladan.

Ruffian Leader (before Merry gets him! ;D) Large oafish character, mean looking ready to 'Put the Halflings in their place'. Pose would be a cocky, over confident pose, but weapon/s could be at the ready to give more flexibility to use the figure for other purposes. Armed with crude weaponry, I think CT could give a figure like this a lot of character.

Once again: GRIMBEORN THE OLDGrimbeorn the Old was Beorn's son. Like his father, he could turn into the shape of a bear, and he lived in the same regions as his father had in the Vales of Anduin. He took over as chieftan of the Beornings after his father's death. As chieftain, he kept the High Pass and the Ford of Carrock free from orcs and wolves, though Gloin commented to Frodo Baggins that his "tolls are high" and he was "not over fond of dwarves."

Crebains reporting to Saruman One bird is on Saruman's shoulder, reporting to him. Saruman is careful and concerned. There should be one or two crebains landed, around Saruman's feet. I checked on Axel list, crebains were never suggested before. These are very important characters in LoTR !

Eomer on foot at Helm's Deep
This is a figure that has been missing for a long while now. He needs to look similar to his mounted figure, except of course on foot with some mail on.
He was never put into the Helm's Deep series that was produced and I really don't know why. He and Aragorn fought together most of the time and they are the ones who kept morale high for the defenders at Helm's Deep. He is my suggestion for this month.

There are already at least four suggestions here that I'd like to see win - Saruman with his crows (a really original suggestion, Master Milo), the Army of the Dead standard-bearer, Mauhur, and (another oldy but goldy) Grimbeorn - so I'm not going to make the choice any more difficult than it's already going to be. Good luck everyone.

Galadriel tempted by the One
A dramatic pose in Lórien, where Galadriel is tempted by the One when Frodo offers the Ring to her. The movie representation might give an idea of how this image of a terrible and fair Galadriel might be, though it is hardly the only one imaginable. The figure should give an aura of power and of what Galadriel would become if she were to take the One.
