Minas Tirith: Denethor, son of Ecthelion II and Finduilas of Dol AmrothI imagine a figure couple with Denethor as a noble man of Minas Tirith before he became dislikeable and his wife Finduilas of Dol Amroth How about show the Lady pregnant? (with Boromir) There is no such a figure yet in the Mithril range. In the fiction of J. R. R. Tolkien, Finduilas was the sister of Prince Imrahil of Dol Amroth. Named after Finduilas, an Elf-maiden of the First Age, Finduilas of Dol Amroth (2950–2988) was the daughter of Prince Adrahil II, and had an older sister Ivriniel in addition to her brother Imrahil.
In 2976 of the Third Age she was wed to the much older Denethor, son of Ecthelion II the Steward of Gondor.
A description of Lady Finduilas is given in Appendix A of The Lord of the Rings The Return of the King:
"She was a lady of great beauty and gentle heart, but before twelve years had passed she died. Denethor loved her, in his fashion, more dearly than any other, unless it were the elder of the sons that she bore him. But it seemed to men that she withered in the guarded city, as a flower of the seaward vales set upon a barren rock. The shadow in the east filled her with horror, and she turned her eyes ever south to the sea that she missed".
In 2978 she gave birth to a son Boromir, who became loved by his father. In 2983 she gave birth to her second son, Faramir, and after grew weak. Faramir was ignored by his father, and she did her best to raise him on her own.
In 2984 Ecthelion suddenly died, and Denethor became Steward of Gondor. The health of the Lady Finduilas further dwindled, and four years later she died at the very young age of thirty-eight (considering her heritage as a Dúnadan). Denethor never remarried, and "became more grim and silent than before". It was not long after her death that he "would sit long alone in his tower deep in thought, foreseeing that the assault of Mordor would come in his time". Thus he began using the palantír of Minas Tirith, and the despair fed to his mind led to his ultimate insanity and suicide some thirty-one years later._______________________________________________________________________ I whould like to say many thanks to all who supported the Huorn suggestion, I really was very surprised and happy last evening when I saw that the Huorn had won. But sure there will be the time for Aragorn finding the white tree best togethter with wise Mithrandir Harry, can I ask you to remove this suggestion immediately as I was going to suggest it myself ;D - On that basis I have to say great idea If my may offer as an addition to your suggestion what I had been going to suggest myself (and please feel free to discount it ) which was to try and squeeze in as one piece castings a young Boromir being held/embraced by Denethor, and a baby Faramir being held by Finduilas. My thought was that adult and child could be sculpted as a one piece casting to get around the 'rule'. Anyway, only a thought, excellent suggestion. p.s. obviously she couldn't then be pregnant

Azog and Mrs Azog I would like to suggest Azog (father of Bolg of the North) and his spouse Mrs Azog. No idea what she would look like, but ugly probably doesn't describe it ;D. If I can stretch the suggestion to include a 'baby' Bolg sculpted into his mummy, wrapped in rags and possibly in some form of infant sling.... I won't suggest any more graphic ideas as I'm eating as i type This suggestion would also give us a female orc which has so often been suggested. Azog would be standing proudly, not necessarily armoured alongside his spouse. ***As this suggestion has caused some (friendly) debate as to whether Azog is too big to be included in this months suggestion, if this is considered the case by Chris Tubb then please accept an amended suggestion to read an Orc chieftan and his 'wife' - perhaps Golfimbul? ;D.
I would still like to encourage the inclusion of an infant orc and the description below........ I shall await the verdict ;D.

Definately an orcish Gronk in that picture ;D. I don't think Azog would/should be classed as an oversize creature, a large orc maybe, but no more - obviously CT has produced an Azog in the past which was large than your average orc, but we shall have to see

Funny David, your suggestion was another idea I had...with exactly same wish to have a baby Bolg (sounds so nice ). But while re-reading Azog & Bolg history, I found no named mother, so I went to suggest Erlrond healing Celebrian. ;D

An old suggestion of mine, each time receiving positive reactions but not enough votes, but this time Chris’ theme suggestion looks to be made for it :
*********** ROHIR BOY AND GIRL ***************
the boy figure has ‘lended’ the arrows and bow of his father to show his shooting skills to his girlfriend ; he should be ca. the same size as the Bergil figure (M196), but with longer hair, in the usual Rohir clothes, with a tunic onto his knees, no mail coat as it would be to heavy for a young boy anyway, a pot helm on his head, a quiver on his back (of course a little to big for him), and his fathers bow in his hands. He can be standing at rest, or firing, or putting an arrow on his bow (like the pose of the woodman bowman loading, M401). I would prefer the loading pose. The girl may be slightly smaller as the boy and she raises her arms because her friend made a good shot.
Another attempt to get some more child figures in the Mithril range ; thanks in advance for supporting this idea !

After nearly two years of watching, and thinking, and not coming up with any (good) ideas i've finally thought of one.
Boromir and Faramir
upon Boromir's leaving gondor in search of the answer to the dream. Boromir can be dressed in full travel kit while faramir can be more casually dressed, maybe in a breastplate. I envision them both staring off towards the mountains, maybe shaking hands for the last time. Valohir
