Welcome to another exciting chance to add your ideas and dreams to Mithril's LOTR miniatures. Post your suggestions here. ONE per member.
This month's ideas is for single figures only, so no mounted or Vignettes (more than 2 people or a lot of furniture + two people) please. A mounted figure counts as two figures (horse/camel/warg/etc)
The only other restriction is that the figures MUST conform to our license, so NO Silmarillion based characters are allowed. They have to be in the Hobbit or LOTR books. The final say is ours and no arguement will be allowed. Ask if you are worried about its eligibility.
Please submit ideas in the following format ONLY:
IDEA TITLE
"this is why I think 'Idea Title' is a good idea for this month..."
Make the title stand out (within reason) and separate from any supportive text by a paragragh. This will prevent Chris accidently overlooking it when he compiles the voting list later on. Otherwise it could be mistaken as a comment not a new suggestion.
Please add some quotes about where it is mentioned or give descriptions to promote your suggestion. Even add a picture or submit it to me to add to the gallery page. If you drum up support NOW, the you have a much better chance when it is time to vote.
Voting will begin on the 14th of June (first round). We stop taking suggestions at 16.00 GMT on the 13th.
You may add comments about other members suggestions as well. If you post any suggestions elsewhere it may not be seen or credited. Please post any suggestions in English. (That is all I can respond in, sorry).

Thanks to all fellowship members who voted for my last suggestion, the belly-dancer and trader of Far Harad, I am very happy I hope it will make a very nice Mithril miniature scene Guardian of the Palantir of OsgiliathMy suggestion this month is a wise man of numenorian origin in Gondorian style garments or "uniform", who has the duty to guard the Palantir of Osgiliath. The scene should be the Guard with the Palantir on a column on one base or he is holding the seeing-stone on a pillow, because he is just bringing the precious globe to one of the noble people ( maybe Isildur ) who want's to look in the stone. This will bring us another figure of a City of Middle earth that isn`t in the mithril range so far - a inhabitant of Osgiliath and there whould be another famous object of the novel the Lord of the Rings - the greatest of the Palantiri! We have the Orthanc-stone so far. Osgiliath (citadel of stars) was the old capital city of Gondor. The city straddled the Anduin River at a point approximately half way between the cities of Minas Anor to the southwest and Minas Ithil to the northeast, and north of the nearby Emyn Arnen. In its days of glory, the city featured quays to handle sea-going vessels that came up from the sea, a great stone bridge supporting houses and towers of stone, and the Dome of Stars, which housed the Osgiliath-stone, the greatest of the seven Palantíri.

THE TRADER'S GUEST Great winning suggestion last time, so just to give the dancer an audience, I'll suggest a merchant guest of the trader, perhaps being given a treat so that he makes trade. Not sure what CT will do with the winning suggestion from Harald, but a figure seated on cushions would be my idea for this suggestion.

Wouldn't it have been better to suggest a second dancer as a completion to your last suggestion, David? Instead of a bored trader sitting on a cushion.

Queen Mirien of GondorShe embodies in her person the spririt of Minas Ithil. She is a tall and slender Dunadan woman with long, straight balck hair and eyes of the deepest brown. She favors elegant and elaborate robes and wears little jewelry other than a delicate diadem set with a many-hued opal." Mornedhel Mirien is a character from Minas Ithil ICE module (as Junast is another one). The picture is part of the smae book and remains copyright to ICE mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/485_mirien.png

Craftsmen: pottery maker
For my first proposition I would like to introduce a craftsmen (women) serie which I found out really missing in the mithril range. The crafter is seated on a tool with his pottery in front of him on a tour. He is bare foot and wears a simple tunic.

Minath Tirith Standard Bearer
I imagine that standard bearer is inside the city, standing on ramparts. He is holding a wonderfull Minath Tirith banner above his head. His face is determined and proud.
This could occur just before Pelenor fields battle starts.

I suggest:
Working Moria-troll
"Two great trolls appeared; they bore great slabs of stone, and flung them down to serve as gangways over the fire."
from THE LORD OF THE RINGS - THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING - THE BRIDGE OF KHAZAD-DUM

Captain of the guards from the Elvenking (Mirkwood) drunk
I rescue on of my 2007 suggestions:
"As a dwarf fan that "hates" elves I will suggest an embarrashing moment for the elven world.
I would like to see the captain of the guards from the Elvenking (Mirkwood) drunk, with one of the big jugs from the butler full with wine from the Dorwinion. This moment allowed Bilbo to free all dwarves from the dungeons of the Elvenking. This mini will be a nice complement to M66 Galion the butler. "

Stone Giant King
Stone Giants: The only known reference to them occurs in The Hobbit, in which Bilbo and the Dwarves encounter them as they cross the Misty Mountains. During a storm, the Stone-giants emerge, and cast huge boulders about a rocky valley as part of a bizarre game.
Bilbo: When he peeped out in the lightening flashes, he saw that across the valley the Stone-Giants were out, and were hurling rocks at one another for a game, and catching them, and tossing them down into the darkness where they smashed among the trees far below, or splintered into little bits with a bang. They could hear the Giants guffawing and shouting all over the mountainsides.
Description: The King of the Stone Giants wears a crown of curved tusks. His back and shoulders are covered by two bearskins, the heads of which are draped over the massive shoulders of the giant.

I will revive an old idea also. He has been suggested by me before, but also by several others.
[glow=red,2,300]ERESTOR OF RIVENDELL[/glow]
The chief counsellor of Elrond's household at the time of the War of the Ring, who took part in the Council of Elrond. He did not support the idea of destroying the Ring, and preferred instead the notion of guarding it from Sauron, perhaps with the aid of Tom Bombadil (Encyclopedia of Arda).
Erestor is one of the last missing named Elven characters from the Hobbit. I envision him as tall and noble looking, even among Elves. He would have long flowing robes with a sash, and a gemmed circlet about his brow to keep his long hair in place. He would carry no weapon, nor wear any armor. He could be postured as holding out a scroll in both hands reading, or perhaps handing a personal scroll to someone (presumably Elrond).
Of course, should this suggestion win, Chris could sculpt him any way he wanted.
