Well, so far it is three for three on voting for the best idea :-)
Honestly, I could like any of these ideas.

Just a reminder as we do not have a lot of mounted hobbits and especially from the end of the books Merry sounds the horn of Rohan'Sam, you can make a dash for Cotton's farm, if you like. He's the chief person round here, and the sturdiest. Come on! I am going to blow the horn of Rohan, and give them all some music they have never heard before.' They rode back to the middle of the village. There Sam turned aside and galloped off down the lane that led south to Cotton's. He had not gone far when he heard a sudden clear horn-call go up ringing into the sky. Far over hill and field it echoed; and so compelling was that call that Sam himself almost turned and dashed back. His pony reared and neighed.

I have no choice but to vote for Master Twrich's suggestion, since I've made it many times myself, and intended to suggest it again this month before I got distracted by medical issues - so I'm glad it's in here ready for another gallop towards the finishing post. Perhaps it'll get there this time!

Hello Barli,
I am glad to hear that you support Elfhelm. Indeed he has been suggested by a few of us many times. I barely suggested him before the deadline for this month.
But more important, I hope you have regained your health.

Thank you for your concern, Master Ranger, but if a day ever comes when I haven't got some part of me aching or dropping off it'll be the same day that you see pigs flying over the Prancing Pony.
As for this month's poll, like you I'd certainly welcome almost any one of the suggestions made. I think the most likely front-runners are now beginning to emerge, and they're all excellent. May the best horse win!

This is, by FAR the most difficult choice I have ever had to make, so far anyway! I am still very new, after all. In the end I had to go for Legolas and Gimli riding Arod, but oh, I was so tempted by Merry, and by the idea of Elfhelm too.. Oh dear, I wish I could vote twice, or thrice, but alas in the end the chase after Merry and Pip made me the most excited in terms of a build. Now I will need a whole bunch of trees. And Ents. Is there a Tower of Orthanc?
