Hello there everybody, well I noticed, like many of you I suppose that Mithril site has completly changed to a new version.
the template may be cool and fast and better than the old ones
but the flashy yellow color... well I don't know what you think about that but this color is quite harmful to the eyes too flashy, to strong. Maybe it would be better to choose a softer tone or a different color but not so strong as it makes the site very painful to look at!!

The colour is certainly arresting!
But more to the point, where is the link to the Forum? It seems to have gone AWOL.

Yes background yellow & orange colors are not good at all. It would be much better to have a more neutral color scheme for our eyes ! Then, from what I see, new MMI is very user friendly and more 21st century like. So I want to thank Michael for the tremendous work it must be to make all this hard work.

I hope soon this web site will be full of informations.. it is still missing pictures for MX figure, fan gallery... M range ( old one ) & LO... are without pictures, there are no pictures of rare miniatures etc.......... and I have question ! Must I register before I made order... there are many questions to be answered... and about colors... here I'm neutral... old site was much more simple for navigation, but in designer sense was worse. Also there are no more fan pages links... many parts of the old site is missing... this one looks like typical sterile - sales website... collecting Mithril miniatures is primarily a collector's passion. Collector's spirit is no longer here, even in traces. At least not in this version of the page... but this page is functionally much better then the old one... keep on Michael...

you said the words master Thingol this one seems "sterile" and lacks a lot of "feeding" about links (external or internal) outside of the mere catalog and buying options. there is no hint at any community except the newsletter. But I really think this is explaiend by the fact it is brand new and we'll see the additions quite soon, I hope

Maybe the colour is bright but overall I prefer it to the old site which is very cluttered and a lot of the info on it is out of date

I perfectly agree this site is far better it's just about the color, and some missing community info

The colour is certainly arresting! But more to the point, where is the link to the Forum? It seems to have gone AWOL. I am still working on the site, I will add more links and do a LOT more to the site over the coming weeks and months. I had about a month to get the site up and functioning, along with all my other duties so please forgive some issues, its also with a totally different ecommerce provider, so I had a completely new backend to use.

Send me a photo with some ideas and I will present them to my boss. I am not in charge of the site, only the webmaster, I simply follow instructions by those higher up the chain of command.

well the background picture may be fine, but the flashy gold/yellow orange color, spread all over the page is quite irritating for the eyes. I don't know if Chris aknowledged this color spread in entire page or just the color itself to be used. but I would have suggested something less bright. more soft to the eyes, even if it remains yellowish, but not as "bright"
besides, the color of Mithril blisters is mainly red, and old blister cards were green. well I'll try to find what could be more suitable to make sugestions. Actually you see, the goldish color of the "separator" bars of this forum, or the quick reply title bar would be really fine, goldish, but tarnished... better for the eye I think

If red-yellow color scheme is requested, then I would suggest use for instance the 1st blisters versions color schemes: such Color scheme is Red-orange and Yellow, already part of mithril's history and less bright than current.

I do agree with what sevlag stated. But, wouldn't it be wise to update information about the MX-releases by now, Michael, once the first Hobbit-movie has been released a while ago? So far there are no pics of the MX-UP and no information available.
