Welcome to another exciting chance to add your ideas and dreams to Mithril's LOTR miniatures. Post your suggestions here. ONE per member.
This month's ideas is for single figures only, so no mounted or Vignettes (more than 2 people or a lot of furniture + two people) please. A mounted figure counts as two figures (horse/camel/warg/etc)
The only other restriction is that the figures MUST conform to our license, so NO Silmarillion based characters are allowed. They have to be in the Hobbit or LOTR books. The final say is ours and no arguement will be allowed. Ask if you are worried about its eligibility.
Please submit ideas in the following format ONLY:
IDEA TITLE
"this is why I think 'Idea Title' is a good idea for this month..."
Make the title stand out (within reason) and separate from any supportive text by a paragragh. This will prevent Chris accidently overlooking it when he compiles the voting list later on. Otherwise it could be mistaken as a comment not a new suggestion.
Please add some quotes about where it is mentioned or give descriptions to promote your suggestion. Even add a picture or submit it to me to add to the gallery page. If you drum up support NOW, the you have a much better chance when it is time to vote.
Voting will begin on the 19th of February. We stop taking suggestions at 16.00 GMT on the 18th.
You may add comments about other members suggestions as well. If you post any suggestions elsewhere it may not be seen or credited. Please post any suggestions in English. (That is all I can respond in, sorry).

BILBO, SITTING, SMOKING HIS PIPE"this is why I think 'Bilbo, sitting, smoking his pipe' is a good idea for this month..." For my first suggestion in the Fellowship, I will wish to propose Bilbo sitting comfortably, legs extended in front of him, resting, smoking his pipe. This is a happy day, he ate his second breakfast and waiting for the next meal, he took advantage of a moment of pure happiness sitting smoking a pipe, just before an old man leaning on a stick, with a blue hat, wish him a good morning and takes him in a crazy adventure )

Queen Mirien of GondorShe embodies in her person the spririt of Minas Ithil. She is a tall and slender Dunadan woman with long, straight balck hair and eyes of the deepest brown. She favors elegant and elaborate robes and wears little jewelry other than a delicate diadem set with a many-hued opal." Mirien is a character from Minas Ithil ICE module (as Junast is another one). The picture is part of the book and remains copyright to ICE

[glow=red,2,300]Bilbo with the arkenstone in hand[/glow]
Bilbo is atop a mound of treasures handing in front of him the Arkenstone. The complex base of the figure is compensating the size of the hobbit.
"Bilbo was climbing the great mound of treasure. Soon he stood upon the top, and still went on. Then they saw him halt and stoop for a moment; but they did not know the reason. It was the Arkenstone, the Heart of the Mountain. So Bilbo guessed from Thorin's description; but indeed there could not be two such gems, even in so marvellous a hoard, even in all the world. Ever as he climbed, the same white gleam had shone before him and drawn his feet towards Slowly it grew to a little globe of pallid light. Now as came near, it was tinged with a flickering sparkle of man colours at the surface, reflected and splintered from the wavering light of his torch. At last he looked down upon it and he caught his breath. The great jewel shone before he feet of its own inner light, and yet, cut and fashioned by the dwarves, who had dug it from the heart of the mountain long ago, it took all light that fell upon it and-changes it into ten thousand sparks of white radiance shot with glints of the rainbow. Suddenly Bilbo's arm went towards it drawn by it enchantment. His small hand would not close about it for it was a large and heavy gem; but he lifted it, shut his eyes, and put it in his deepest pocket."

Lossoth woman, with skatesJust renewing this old suggestion. I posted the following in the Sept 2012 suggestion thread: "The Lossoth house in the snow, and it is said that they can run on the ice with bones on their feet, and have carts without wheels." - RotK.
ICE's Northern Waste has a wealth of inspiration and as far as her dress and hair style, I'm thinking specifically of the image of the Merimetsästäjät (or "Sea-hunters," a Lossoth division) on page 31. She would wear a long, thick coat with slits at the sides (not unlike MS469) and thick boots with skates at the bottom. ICE's Merimetsästäjät are fond of jewelry, so I would think a necklace of beads or bone around her neck and her hair half-pulled back, half-falling out of large hairpin. I have a whimsical pose in mind, where she's standing and slightly bent over at the waist, so that her hands are on her knees, with a thick Lossoth cap in her hands (to account for why she's out on the ice without any head protection on). She would be looking forward with a broad smile on her face.

Large Orc weapon-smith of Barad Dur
I'd like to suggest something that is missing in the mithril range so far: there are many armoured and cruel orcs of Mordor to form the army of the Dark Lord Sauron, but where do all that armour and weapons come from? There must be a lot of smiths and craftsmen to make all the needed war-gear. And the smithies are mentioned in the novel indeed.
So I suggest one of the 'craftsmen' who works in the smithies of Barad-Dur - a huge and strong build Mordor orc weapon-maker in charge to make scimitars, warhammers, morningstars, shields, breastplates and all that stuff needed for the war of the Dark Lord. there are two figures which represent the craftsmen of Mount Gundabad in the north (M101), but we do not have such a figure in the duty of Sauron. I imagine the muscle-bound guy stronger, larger and more cruel than the Gundabad serfs, holding a large working tool in one claw and checking a ready forged scimitar or something like that with the other claw.

Rúmil a Silvan Elf of Lothlórien....
Rúmil was the brother of Haldir and Orophin. He was one of three wardens met by the Fellowship as they entered the Golden Wood... and I hope CT will made his as a hooded elf much more like the elves in the old series "The elves of Lorien" ... and yes.... better than the Haldir...
And in next months we could suggest last of the brothers...

As he should be making an appearence in the next installment of The Hobbit, I shall resurect the suggestion of Beorn in the act of transforming from man to bear.
This idea would give CT the opportunity to sculpt a mix of man and beast as Beorn shape-changes in preparation to hunt some wargs and goblins.
I don't imagine the shape-changing process is a process without pain (just look at all those werewolves out there ;D), so Beorn would have a strained look on his face.
Perhaps the figue could be based upon an outcrop of rock?

There are not so many ancients in mithril range. I propose to add in mithril range an old lady: Bogatung the Wyrdwomanfrom MERP 2016 Laketown.
