I am a new proud owner of the MB279 "The Lord Of The Nazgul" vignette. Absolutely loved how it looks and eager to do some painting on it.
But my question is for those who have assembled this previously. It has to do with the wings of the mount and worrying that simply glueing them on will not be stable enough. But also in looking at them, getting pins into the wing part of it looks to be pretty much impossible as there is so little metal to work with (and I'd hate to ruin it)! The tail looks good and very pin able and might not even need it.
So what have others done to keep these wings on the Nazgul's mount and be stable?

Hi Harrek, Although a long time ago (and I replaced the kit wings) even with a small surface area with a fine enough drill-bit you should still be able to get a sufficient hole in which to insert fine pins. In the past I have drilled pin holes in the feet of miniatures. Don't forget any holes (if you accidently drill through) can be filled with modelling putty and even with basic modelling skills you should be able to repair these - don't use this for drilled fingers though!! You may not need to pin the tail and leg to feet joins as once the tail is secure you can use this as an anchor point for the creature. Good luck

Thank you for the response! I'm just getting back into figure painting so my skills for pinning and filling are quite old and stale. Hate to ruin a great model doing this! I suppose I should pick something else to do first.
Next to decide if I assemble the whole mount and then paint... or paint it apart and assemble and paint touch up after assembly.
