Time to vote for your favourite idea this May. Remember to support your idea with helpful comments. You have until June 1st to submit your vote. One vote per member. This is not a blind vote so you can see the status before posting. Now lets look at this months collection of ideas. Unfortunately some ideas failed to get past Chris's watchful eye.
Tevildo cannot be included as it does not appear in the LotR or Hobbit, but in the “History of Middle-earth” which our licence does not cover. I have also omitted “ The death of Thengel” . I can find no account of his death and assume therefore it would have been a peaceful one. This would mean a deathbed scene which, as this is a single figure month, would not be permissible. And if the farmer wins then at least the geese will be easier than the two chickens which I have recently done! CT.

Tevildo, prince of Cats (from the kin-strife)Benish Armon is an ancient ruin in the midst of the Anduin Delat, which now serves as the den of a malevolent Maia: Telvido, Prince of cats. Telvido and his nine felines “thanes” are the object of fear and worship for many among the Ethir-folk, who obey them as gods. In fact the thanes are the very same cats which the nefarious Queen Beruthiel enslaved to do her bidding during the reign of Tarannon Falastur.

Ohtar, survivor of the Gladden Fields
'Isildur entrusted Ohtar with the broken sword and said, "Save it from capture by all means that you can find, and at all costs; even at the cost of being held a coward who deserted me. Take your companion with you and flee! Go! I command you!"[1] Isildur and virtually his entire army were soon wiped out by the Orc horde. The only other survivor was Estelmo, a young squire found "stunned and buried under fallen men," among them Elendur, Aratan, and Ciryon, Isildur's eldest sons. Ohtar and his (unnamed) companion escaped the Orcs' onslaught, and delivered Narsil to Rivendell, where Elrond fostered Isildur's youngest son Valandil. The shards were kept there until they were reforged into Andúril during the War of the Ring.'
I envisage a figure running up a sloped boulder strewn hill, looking anxiously behind him in case the orcs are pursuing him. In his hands he holds the shards of Narsil (clearly visible), possibly his own drawn sword in one hand and Narsil in the other.
In look he will be dressed in mail, possibly a helm on his head of the Numenorian design.
p.s. the quote was taken from a forum posting elsewhere so may not be an exact extract from Prof T's work .

King Éomer of Rohan
Éomer in royal Garments after the death of King Théoden. A proud man of Rohan in his best years, with the filled cup that his sister Éowyn brought to him at the feast after the burial of Théoden.
Éowyn lady of Rohan came forth, golden as the sun and white as snow, and she bore a filled cup to Éomer. Then a minstrel and loremaster stood up and named all the names of the Lords of the mark in their order. from Eorl the Young..... to Théoden the latest. And when Théoden was named Éomer drained the cup. then Éowyn bade those that served to fill the cups, and all there assembled rose and drank to the new king, crying: 'hail, Éomer, king of the Mark!'

Nár, Companion of Thrór / waiting outside of Moria.
When Thrór went on his last journey to Moria, he just took one companion with him – Nár.
But he entered Moria alone and had Nár wait for him outside. So I would like to have a miniature of Nár sitting in a long hooded cloak in front of a small campfire or standing, leaning on some kind of staff (spear/axe) and looking towards the entrance where Thrór disappeared…

I am from Benodet, Bretagne in France but living now in Moscow for my job. I start collecting Mithril only 2 years ago when my elder brother give up his collection.

Easterling Champion with axe "and the Easterlings were strong and war-hardened and asked no quarter. And so in this place and that, by burned homestead or barn, upon hillock or mound, under wall or on field, still they gathered and rallied and fought until the day wore away" LOTR ROTK p.151 J.R.R. A brilliant set of suggestions so far, and since I want four of them there's no point in my adding another! It still astonishes me that people can come up with so many original ideas month after month. Excellent stuff!
Oh, and welcome to Rosie!

Golasgil, Lord of Anfalas
I think it would be neat to see all the outlying lords and regional troops from Gondor. I imagine him as finely equipped since he is in contrast to his poorly equipped troops.
"From the Anfalas, the Langstrand far away, a long line of men of many sorts, hunters and herdsmen and men of little villages, scantily equipped save for the household of Golasgil their lord."
