Thanks for your patience. My hard drive died on me and I had a series of complications that only seem to have been resolved today. We will have two votes this month. The first vote will end on the 24th at midnight and the second on the 1st of May. Please check your inbox tomorrow to make sure you get the latest MAJOR updates on releases. You definitely don't want to miss it.
Remember to comment on why your favourite idea should win. Even if you did not suggest the idea, if you support it, you can help its chances by writing down why you like it. Adding sketches and pictures of course increases the likelihood of victory.

I'd like to throw in the suggestion of the third brother mentioned in LotR watching over Loriens borders:
Orophin, Guardian of Lothlorien
Brother of Haldir and Rúmil, maybe Orophin is blowing a slender elven horn and has his bow and quiver on his back.
The Lord of the Rings Book II Chapter VI "Lothlorien"
When Frodo came at last up on to the flet he found Legolas seated with three other Elves. They were clad in shadowy-grey, and could not be seen among the tree-stems, unless they moved suddenly. They stood up, and one of them uncovered a small lamp that gave out a slender silver beam. He held it up, looking at Frodo's face, and Sam's. Then he shut off the light again, and spoke words of welcome in his elven-tongue. Frodo spoke haltingly in return. 'Welcome!' the Elf then said again in common language, speaking slowly. 'We seldom use any tongue but our own; for we dwell now in the heart of the forest, and do not willingly have dealings with any other folk. Even our kindred in the North are sundered from us. But there are some of us still who go abroad for the gathering of news and the watching of our enemies, and they speak the languages of other lands. I am one. Haldir is my name. My brothers, Rúmil and Orophin, speak little of your Tongue.
Orophin is some time later the one of the Elves who goes back in haste to the elven dwellings for warning, after the Orcs appeared at Loriens borders.

Ranger of the North (with sword and shield in fighting pose)
Rangers of the North, also known as the Dúnedain of the North, were the descendants of the Dúnedain from the lost kingdom of Arnor. Their menfolk ceaselessly patrolled the boundaries of Eriador and were by necessity skilled with the sword, bow and spear.
The Rangers were grim in life, appearance, and dress, choosing to wear rusty green and brown. The Rangers of the Grey Company (see below) were dressed in dark grey cloaks and openly wore a silver brooch shaped like a pointed star during the War of the Ring. These Rangers rode rough-haired, sturdy horses, were helmeted and carried shields. Their armament included spears and bows.

I've suggested this once before, I think:
ISENGARD WAYMARK PILLAR
The Mithril range has included some "architectural" pieces in the past, such as the Chamber of Mazarbul doorway and Balin's tomb in Moria, and it seems to me that Saruman's way-post at Isengard would make an equally unusual piece that would be an interesting addition to the range, especially for diorama modellers. Tolkien describes it thus:
"Suddenly a tall pillar loomed up before them. It was black; and set upon it was a great stone, carved and painted in the likeness of a long White Hand. Its finger pointed north."
He even provides us with an appropriate drawing of a pointing, long-fingernailed, hand that could be utilised as a guideline for the possible appearance of Saruman's hand alongside the road in Isengard – the pointing hand in the margin of "Thror's Map" reproduced in The Hobbit.

nice Suggestion Barliman! I remember... But how tall is a "tall" pillar? as tall that it fits in the mithril Blister? and some nice skulls at the bottom? I whould like to see the both other suggestions Halforc Hornist and Angmar lieutenant of March again!

The pillar was probably about 1.5m to 2m at a guess - the Riders of Rohan could see its fingernails as they rode past, so the hand must have been roughly at or somewhat below the eye level of a mounted man. Tolkien doesn't mention any skulls ( too "dungeons and dragons"!).

I (and some other people) still would like to see a Half-orc Hornist of Saruman's Army
to complement the Half-orcs in the normal Mithril range. Almost all other races have their hornblowers or other musiciens, but not yet the half-orcs (except the unfindable, never released Half-orc Warband drummer).

With a Heavy Heart, I suggest the Witch King Lieutenant of Angmar (but I've no hope for it because I think the half-orc horniest will win)

Due to the low amounts of ideas submitted, I will extend it until Monday to see if a few more can be submitted. Get your thinking caps on.

Worthwhile ideas are harder and harder to come by as the Fellowship becomes older - many, perhaps even most, of the best ideas have been used; and sometimes used more than once. So I don't understand how five ideas aren't enough. There are only three ideas in the second round usually, and that's considered enough for our purposes.

Since we have extra time, I will make use of it.
I will re-suggest an old idea of mine: DRAGON HATCHLING
It would be great to see the hatchling crawling out of a shell. If that isn't practical, then posed spreading its little wings for the first time, maybe with scattered fragments of the shell on the base. I would expect this piece to be man sized, so no issues with that.

curious, just curious – if "members" have 19 days! (even extended) time for an idea, then a "member" put one idea in 15 minutes (mixed up with ebay?....) before announced voting starts and then that's a pity....
Indeed that's a Pity!
But nonetheless – happy voting dear Fellowship members!

So I don't understand how five ideas aren't enough. There are only three ideas in the second round usually, and that's considered enough for our purposes. We have two rounds for voting. To make it worthwhile we need a reasonably large pool of ideas to filter through two rounds. Chris decided that seven was a good number as the bare minimum.

Well, sometimes work just messes up any plans to forward ideas...
As Hornblowers seem to be in fashion, next time I am in time to suggest Horatio, the Hobbit ferry captain, blowing his horn :-)

Mind that we are still awaiting the release of Tobold Hornblower (winner in May '15 if I remember well).
