While 'Female Lossoth on bone skates' may have won the first round there is still an opportunity for the other voters to overturn that in the final round. I selected the top three entries and this round is an open round so you can see exactly what the status is prior to casting your vote. Every vote counts. Please also remember to add a comment and seek to promote your favourite idea. This vote ends at 00:00 on Tuesday April 4th GMT+1.

Thats the benefit of skates – they can speed up there is the Lossoth hunter and the christmas shaman, so the vote is for the female Lossoth, no doubt. Every race needs men and women

Statues in the mithril range are quite a rare thing , the Watcher could really make a great "exclusive" figurine ! I have nothing against lossoth it may actually be very interesting ! but well... how can a mere regular human compete with an impressive statue full of awe in terms of sculpting design

Thank you to everyone who has voted for the Female Lossoth on Bone Skates. I have suggested her many times over the past years.
I think Chris would do a wonderful job with her, and she would complement the Lossoth Hunter from many years ago.

Chris would doubtless also do a wonderful job on the Watcher at Cirith Ungol!

So far this is what I call an interesting race, isn't it. - I think this could be a chance for the company to provide a kind of bookmaker's blog running simultaniously with the votings.

If the same number of people vote as did so in round one, then there's one more vote to come. There's also the chance that the Horn-blower voters might transfer their votes, I suppose, when it dawns on them that said Horn-blower is out of the running....
Exciting, just as the Tree has said.

I'm watching the Watcher on this one While I agree that larger architectural pieces are best left to those companies who produce them best, I think a 'Watcher' would fit in well with Mithril's style. And, I could put it (them) to good practical use.

And, I could put it (them) to good practical use. Personally I've never pictured the Watcher as "larger architectural piece" anyway - simply an inanimate and threatening door guardian, probably little if any taller than a mounted Man. Its size, if it should eventually win this neck-and-neck race, would be up to Chris.

That's exactly what I think about those "Watchers" as they are described by Tolkien, Barliman. - Not just some "architectural pieces" at all.

...and the Cirith Ungol Watcher has to fit in the fellowship package so no more than 6 cm in high if the 3 heads are not separate.

I was of course referring to previous posts on the initial suggestion post regarding architecture, and to a degree relying on memory as to points made, and the accompanying images in links. I myself always imagined the 'Watchers' just being there, and never really gave much thought to their size, although I never visualised them as large statues.

As of 7:20 this morning Bree time there are suddenly only 39 votes and voters, whereas for the past few days there have been 40, with the Watcher one vote ahead for the past two days. Now we're suddenly back to a tie. Someone is obviously playing tactics...

I would definitely purchase the "Watcher" if it wins. I think it would be a cool figure, even though the Female Lossoth is my suggestion.
But to say that it would not be an "Architectural Figure" is incorrect. Tolkien's exact words, speaking of Sam's experience at the gate, are:
'He looked about, and within the shadow of the gate he saw the Two Watchers. They were like great figures seated upon thrones.'
Tolkien goes on to describe the three heads and claw-like hands laid upon 'their great knees.' And that 'they seemed to be carved out of huge blocks of stone, immovable...'
So basically they are massive stone gate posts with evil magical abilities. If this figure does win I hope Chris will at least set the Watcher upon a pillar if not construct it's throne, as Tolkien clearly describes. At the very least, if made without a pillar or throne, I hope it is designed in a manner that allows us to match it with a pillar or throne we can purchase elsewhere.
Again, I think the Watcher is a great idea, and will purchase it if it wins . . . but I'm still hopeful that the Female Lossoth pulls off the victory.

Great post Master twrich and well said. As you said, I too will purchase either figure regardless as I love this line and hope it continues for a very long time. I also wish Chris will design the Watcher to fit upon some type of pillar. I also hope Mithril creates that as well and am more than willing to pay what is necessary for that to happen! ;-)

Intrigued on how this race ends! I like both tied ideas... although as stated above I voted for the lossoth.
If tomorrow the votings finally end in a tie Chris will decide which one to produce so that is not bad news neither so I feel in a win/win situation. ^^

...and we have a winner! Congrats to The Watcher and really looking forward to see what Chris designs (I'll have to buy two now!). Love the discussion and participation with this month's figures. Here's hoping for even more as the year progresses!
