The last vote had a winner, the Half-orc Hornist, however it was only by the smallest of margins (1 vote) so I expect that this round will be nail biting for all contenders as the race for victory is still anyone's guess. This vote will run until the start of June. It is an open vote so you can always see the status prior to voting. Always remember you can add comments to support your favourite idea, even if you did not support it in the last round.

This is going to be another neck-and-neck race to the finishing post, by the look of things.

very famous indeed is Bilbo Baggins!
Just a reminder of the scene according to the story:
"They saw the little dark shape of the Hobbit start across the floor holding his tiny light (small pine-torch) aloft. Every now and again, while he was stlli near enough, they caught a glint and a twinkle as he stumbled on some golden thing. The light grew smaller as he wandered away into the vast hall; then it began to rise dancing into the air. Bilbo was climbing the great mound of treasure. Soon he stood upon the top, and still went on. Then they saw him halt and stoop for a moment; but they did not know the reason.
It was the Arkenstone, the Heart of the Mountain. so Bilbo guessed from Thorin's description; but indeed there could not be two such gems, even in so marvellous a hoard, even in all the world. Ever as he climbed, the same white gleam had shone before him and drawn his feet towards it. Slowly it grew to a little globe of pallid light. Now as he came near, it was tinged with a flickering sparkle of many colours at the surface, reflected and splintered from the wavering light of the torch. At last he looked down upon it, and he caught his breath. The great jewel shone before his feet of its own inner light, and yet, cut and fashioned by the dwarves, who had dug it from the heart of the mountain long ago, it took all light that fell upon it and changed it into ten thousands sparks of white radiance shot with glints of the rainbow. Suddenly Bilbo's arm went towards it drawn by its enchantment. His small hand would not close about it, for it was a large and heavy gem; but he lifted it, shut his eyes, and put it in his deepest pocket. "Now I am a burglar indeed!" thought he.

I originally voted for Sam and cute little Elanor as I think that would make a great figure. However, I switched my vote to Bilbo as it seems he and Saruman's hornist are quite close and I would much prefer Bilbo with his hand clasped around the large Arkenstone! I do hope Sam and Elanor get their moment to shine in the coming year.

sure i will resuggest Sam with baby Elanor, no worries, Bilbo and the Half-Orc-hornist are more liked right now I hope the Arkenstone will be sculpted still on top of a treasure-pile, Bilbo just stooping for it with his little torch aloft in the other hand. Because there is already a Bilbo figure with the Arkenstone in hand, though that is from the big scene with many figures... That will be a nice row of Arkenstone scenes ) King Thror enthroned with the Arkenstone... (Winner July 2016) Bilbo discovers the ArkenstoneBilbo presents the Arkenstone... 45 votes is truly astonishing. Well done to everyone who turned up!
I imagine Chris will favour Blobbo and the Arkenstone if he has time on his hands, but the Half-orc if time is short.
