July 2017 2nd Round Vote is CLOSED

I noticed a slight slip in activity but some people may be on holiday so that may explain it. The 2nd round will run until the start of August so you have a week to take part. It is, as usual, an open vote so you will always see what is going on before casting your vote. Please don't leave it to the last minute to take part. Every vote counts, you have equal ability to control the outcome as anyone else.

I'd be interested to know how Khador intends his "Khamul alive" to be depicted by Chris. In armor or in "regalia" ? If in armor, it would be consistent to use the same armor used by Liz Danforth for ICE and Chris Tubb for Mithril to depict him, but to distinguish him from his "nazgul version" maybe having his helm in his hands or under his arm and a normal human head would make the big difference

When I proposed Khamûl, I imagined his humain shape and not a nazgûl shape. Maybe in armor but with his real face visible. Maybe watching his ring with a looking thirsthing for power

yeah that's what I was meaning, what better way to have him with face visible and clearly human and alive, but with his very specific armor LR12 armor (and dragonhelm under his arm?) this way we know it's khamul for sure AND we know he's alive because we see his human mortal head

I really like this idea.... (not to mention it's the only genuine Nazgul name , even if the armor regalia is invention from ICE... but with continuity in mithril range)

I'm just a bit afraid though that Mithril may not be able to release it as "Khamul", as it was the case for LR12 which was renamed "Nazgul Lieutenant", unlike the other Nazgul names which were the property of ICE and now MEE (tolkien enterprise), Khamul is a genuine Nazgul name appearing in the Unfinished Tales and is not covered by the licence... belonging to the Tolkien Estate (same as all The Simlarillion names...)

It means that if it wins (and I really would like it to win, it's release name may not actually be Khamul but something to "mean it's him")

well, july 2016 same time around we had 35 votes for the second turn.... now 28. If Khamul wins, we'll need to know quite fast if it is a valid option because of the name though...

Ah, a very good point. My memory (which isn't entirely to be trusted these days!) tells me he's only named in "Unfinished Tales"; in which case, does Mithril's licence cover him?

Chris responded that while he is in LOTR, he is not covered by NAME in our license so he will be called Lieutenant of Dol Guldur.
