Sorry for the slight delay in starting this but we do have an exciting nine suggestions to vote on. Please remember you can comment on why you chose to support one, or why you think another idea is less worthy. The top three ideas will go forward to the final round usually unless something really odd happens. This is a blind vote, which means you will see the poll status only after you submit your vote. This gives every idea a fair chance of being chosen.
Please don't be shy in supporting your favourite idea as there are often undecided voters that you can influence with a well thought out comment or lovely picture.

Hello,
I have been thinking and I do not know if it is possible to suggest a figure of ''Beorn in the form of a bear'' I would love to see this really.
Beorn in the form of a bear angry
PS: I know there are figures of Beorn both in human form and in bear but a figure with more detail and dynamism would be very beautiful.

Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky, Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone, Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die, One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie One ring to rule them all, one ring to find them, One ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
An ancient king of men kneeling with hands held out before him receiving one of the Nine rings that Sauron gave to mortal men to corrupt them. I envisage the figure on both knees, possibly kneeling on a step looking up as I would imagine Sauron, in whatever form, would have been looking down upon any that came before him. Whether dressed in robes or mail, or combination of both, I would have a crown of some sort on his head.

Thorin Oakenshield, earning his name at the Battle of Azanulbizar
When Thorin lost his shield at the battle of Azanulbizar he used a branch of an oaktree instead and fought the rest of the battle with it to deflect the strikes of the orcs and was since known as Thorin Oakenshield.
I imagine Thorin in ornate armour with his axe in one hand, the oakbranch in the other ready to deflect a blow. Probably he lost his helmet in the heat of the battle as well as his shield.

> ddainesIn my imagination these rings were traps to catch the powerfull. I always envisaged the "giving" of the Rings more as an act of devious subterfuge - like offering a small token of power to a powerfull friend. Most kings would not realize that the taking of these rings meant subordination and servitude long after it was too late. I would see a powerfull, arrogant ruler of men appraising this token with the mindset wether its even worthy of him. On the other side, thats just my view, and yours is as valid. If it wins I will look forward to Chris interpretation.

I suggested a kneeling figure to give the impression of one receiving a 'great gift' (and the pose might be more 'eye catching'), I suppose the figure could be standing with knees slightly bent (one leg in front of the other) again to give the impression of receiving. As ever, the final look would be down to CT.

Isengard Orc Destroying Fangorn Forest
An orc of Isengard cutting down a tree in Fangorn Forest. I envisage a 'normal orc' (not an uruk hai or a half-orc) doing a labouring task in the creation of Saruman's army. No helmet, very little (or any) armour, possibly just a short dagger at his waist. Instead he wields a large two-handed axe swinging across and down to chop away at a tree in Fangorn Forest.

My impression on these rings was that these leaders of men were more trapped then "joining" Sauron. From their nature I expected them to be haughty and arrogant, not willing to yield the knee to anybody (certainly not to humanity or sense, but also not a "greater" power") - not unlike the dwarfs and elves given rings, but with far less resilence against the luring power of their Lord. But I admit that my reading of the Silmarillon and the other works beyond the two main works is a bit ago, and memory might construct impressions that were not reflected in Tolkiens actual writing. Being nine, there probably were several ways to become one of the "Nine". If it wins I am looking forward to Chris version, and naturally he should start from your view. Good luck

The Iron Sorcerer Angûlion hides in Angmar and will try to come out later again.... ;-)"Hey dol! merry dol! ring a ding dillo!Ring a dong! hop along! fal lal the willow!Tom Bom, jolly Tom, Tom Bombadillo!"Tom Bombadil hopping, singing, carrying water-lillies
fitting to MS582 Golcberry communing with river and he should be as thick as Tom with badger-folk (MS297) or riding on Fatty Lumpkin (LR29) ... There was another burst of song, and then suddenly, hopping and dancing along the path, there appeared above the reeds an old battered hat with a tall crown and a long blue feather stuck in the band. With another hop and a bound there came into view a man, or so it seemed. At any rate he was too large and heavy for a Hobbit, if not quite tall enough for one of the Big People, though he made noise enough for one, stumping along with great yellow boots on his thick legs, and charging through grass and rushes like a cow going down to drink. He had a blue coat and a long brown beard; his eyes were blue and bright, and his face was red as a ripe apple, but creased into a hundred wrinkles of laughter. In his hands he carried on a large leaf as a tray a small pile of water-lilies. ... "Hey! Come merry dol! derry dol! My darling! Light goes the weather-wind and the feathered starling. Down along under Hill, shining in the sunlight, Waiting on the doorstep for the cold starlight, There my pretty lady is, River-woman's daughter, Slender as the willow-wand, clearer than the water. Old Tom Bombadil water-lilies bringing Comes hopping home again. Can you hear him singing? Hey! Come merry dol! derry dol! and merry-o! Goldberry, Goldberry, merry yellow berry-o! Poor old Willow-man, you tuck your roots away! Tom's in a hurry now. Evening will follow day. Tom's going home again water-lilies bringing. Hey! Come derry dol! Can you hear me singing?"
He is.

Aragorn kneeled with the sapling of the white tree
Then Aragorn cried: 'Yé! utúvienyes! I have found it! Lo! here is a scion of the Eldest of Trees! But how comes it here? For it is not itself yet seven years old.'
And Gandalf coming looked at it, and said: 'Verily this is a sapling of the line of Nimloth the fair; and that was a seedling of Galathilion, and that a fruit of Telperion of many names, Eldest of Trees. Who shall say how it comes here in the appointed hour? But this is an ancient hallow, and ere the kings failed or the Tree withered in the court, a fruit must have been set here. For it is said that, though the fruit of the Tree comes seldom to ripeness, yet the life within may then lie sleeping through many long years, and none can foretell the time in which it will awake. Remember this. For if ever a fruit ripens, it should be planted, lest the line die out of the world. Here it has lain, hidden on the mountain, even as the race of Elendil lay hidden in the wastes of the North. Yet the line of Nimloth is older far than your line, King Elessar.'
Then Aragorn laid his hand gently to the sapling, and lo! it seemed to hold only lightly to the earth, and it was removed without hurt; and Aragorn bore it back to the Citadel. Then the withered tree was uprooted, but with reverence; and they did not burn it, but laid it to rest in the silence of Rath Dínen. And Aragorn planted the new tree in the court by the fountain, and swiftly and gladly it began to grow; and when the month of June 1 entered in it was laden with blossom.

As always, excellent suggestions. I'm voting for Far Harad tribesman but it was a coin toss. The Aragorn suggestion really appeals. Steve

Aragorn and the Sapling is a great idea.
For May I would like to suggest Saruman being killed by Wormtongue. This might possibly lead to additional figures such as Hobbits in arms(pitchforks and bows & arrows) and 4 ruffians. Lobelia being let out of prison would be a nice add. Of course Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin would have to be included. Maybe the gaffer too. Sam seeing Rose again would also make a nice vignette. I'm new here and I'm not sure this is the correct board to post suggestions.

Each month there is a new thread created by Michael O'Brien so you would make any new suggestions when those are created (the emailed newsletter tells you when a new suggestion thread is made). However, your suggestions are interesting but there are certain restrictions each month. Those suggestions would likely need to be during a "mounted" or "two figure" month. Most months are usually limited to single figure suggestions. As far as this months suggestions I'm going with Aragorn and the sapling. Him finding the young sapling is such an iconic scene that just begs to be scuplted by Chris!
