Chris has provided me with the approved list today so we are on schedule this month for voting. Thanks to all members who took the time to submit their ideas and good luck to all of them. Sadly Aegnor was a Silmarillion character and thus falls outside the scope of our license.
Now this is a blind vote so you only see the current status of the poll after you submit your vote. Please do so in time as we will start the new vote on the 23rd.

Spider of Mirwood attackingFor the moment, it seems to me that there is only one Mirkwood spider reference.... I suggest to complete this reference with a spider attacking. Both fangs seem essential to me!

Half-Orc of Isengard climbing a ladder, holding in his left hand his shield over his head for protection. He is wearing chain mail and a helmet. His sword is still in the sheath. There is single handed axe on a rope, hanging off his right wrist.

Dwarf of Dain's army
THE HOBBIT. CHAPTER 17. THE CLOUDS BURST
"Dain had come. He had hurried on through the night, and so had come upon them sooner than they had expected. Each one of his folk was clad in a hauberk of steel mail that hung to his knees, and his legs were covered with hose of a fine and flexible metal mesh, the secret of whose making was possessed by Dain's people. The dwarves are exceedingly strong for their height, but most of these were strong even for dwarves. In battle they wielded heavy two- handed mattocks; but each of them had also a short broad sword at his side and a round shield slung at his back. Their beards were forked and plaited and thrust into their belts. Their caps were of iron and they were shod with iron, and their faces were grim".

Scholar of Harad With all of the Harad miniatures, maybe another civilian Southron? Not everyone in the lands allied with Sauron has to be a warrior on the battlefield.
I’ll leave the most of the specifics up to Chris, but I’m envisioning someone carrying a handful of scrolls under his arm, dressed in a Haradic fashion. He should probably look distinct from the Trader in MS584.

In case you think I've forgotten him....
FRECA Lord of lands alongside the River Adorn
Freca was a fat, arrogant, dark-haired descendant of King Freawine of Rohan who appears to have had "much Dunlendish blood" in his veins, and probably considered himself more Dunlending than Rohirrim. Certainly he held King Helm Hammerhand in sufficient contempt that he demanded the king's daughter as a bride for his son Wulf (Mithril figure MS280). His main claim to fame in Rohan history is that he was killed by a single blow from Helm's mighty fists.
It's hard to be certain of much else, but when he turned up for Helm's council he brought many men with him, so it seems likely he intended to start trouble, and would therefore have been dressed ready for battle, albeit probably over his finest clothes. His hair, arms and clothes are likely to have been an exotic mix of Dunlendish and Rohirrim styles.

The Grief of Denethor Denethor grieving with the Horn of Boromir
We do have some Denethor's already I know, but I envisage this figure just after Denethor has been given the shattered horn, and in the privacy of his chamber his grief pours out at the loss of his son Boromir. The figure would be standing, head thrown back with a look of anguish on his face, and both arms upraised and each hand with a half of the horn in it.

I.C.E: MERP creation E M P I R E OF THE WITCH-KING
The Angûlion Dúnadan Black Númenórean Mage/sorcerer also 'Mouth of the Witch-king' of Angmar
The Angûlion is the most powerful mortal in the service of the Necromancer. He gave his fealty to Sauron during the second age, at much the same time as his cousin Akhôrahil, who later became one of the Ringwraiths. The Angûlion is a sorcerer, utterly evil and completely loyal to Sauron and the Witch-king. His great power confers on him a high degree of immunity to the spell of dread which the Úlair (Ringwraiths) cast over mortal men, and his long association with them has artificially lengthened his life span.
He has served Sauron in many capacities over the centuries. The Angûlion is a master of persuasion, and his silver tongue has won the Dark Lord many friends and allies. At times, he works as Sauron’s assassin, using his magic to murder the Necromancer’s enemies. Capable of greater independent thought than eight of the Nazgûl, the Angûlion’s intelligence, experience, and deviousness have been the source of many evil plots on Sauron’s behalf. The Angûlion played a mayor role in the corruption and downfall of Rhudaur.
Home: Carn Dûm, Angmar He wears black non-encumbering robes, a black pectoral (breastplate?) with a glowing silver gem which amplifys his voice and he wields a staff.

Another ICE/MERP Character Aegnor of MirdaithrondAegnor was an associate of Celebrimbor since their years together in Nargothrond, and though not the most adept at delicate operations, he was a master of fires and furnaces. A Lord Forger, he supervised all smelting operations at the Mirdaithrond ("Halls of the Jewel-smiths") in Ost-in-Edhil. In fact, he designed most of the forges and smelting facilities. Although generally a good-natured and patient man, he had no time for Annatar, the "Lord of Gifts," and never shared his most powerful forging secrets. An impressive figure, Aegnor was 6'10" tall, and very strong of build. His hair was dark brown, and his eyes so dark blue as to be almost violet. I would like to see the figure of a very strong and corpulent noldo elf with a forge hammer and pair of pliers in his hands and in a pose that can be complemented with the MS225 Celebrimbor. So would the two greatest blacksmiths Noldor of Ost-In-Edhil be together.

....spider and dwarf in direct competition with Freca... what a pity.... we already have bunch of dwarves warriors and about spider.... houm.... come on guys…. Mithril produce original figures from the books… collection line for real Tolkien fans… we need to avoid generic miniatures… especially those we already have.... sorry...

...except that some references, even in "generic" miniatures, have not been available for a long time and this is precisely the case with the spider. Not everyone has necessarily purchased all the existing references.

I am lucky enough to already have this miniature (I think it was one of my first acquisitions), but another version seems interesting to me, especially if we consider the variety of possible poses offered by eight hairy legs

I would have hoped that another version of a figure that's already been produced is of far less merit than a figure of a named LOTR character that Mithril has never produced before. But I've been wrong before...
(Sorry, I started typing this before Master Holger's last two comments!)
