Thanks for submitting seven more great new ideas this month. This is the 1st round and as usual it is a blind vote so you only see the current status of the poll after you have voted. Please add comments too if possible to help others decide on which ideas they support. You can comment supporting any idea even if you did not submit it. This vote will end on Thursday night next week (GMT).

Wainrider girl armed
The appendices mentioned incursions of the Wainriders in Gondor from 1851 TA, for almost a century. To my knowledge, there is no miniature about this people.
The appendices A mentionned that the Wainriders were a people, or confederacy, of Men from the East. They journeyed in great wagons, and their chieftains rode chariots in battle.
In the Unfinished Tales, "Cirion and Eorl and the Friendship of Gondor and Rohan", it states that they camped in fortified camps of wagons. Their young women were also trained in arms, and they, along with old men and youths, stayed behind, able to defend their homes from attackers.
So, for this month I propose a girl character on foot with axe or short sword, Gypsy appearance.
(and when we can propose a mounted miniature, I would propose another Gypsy on horseback, then a vignette with a wagon or a chariot with a warrior...)

Elvish Mariner from the Grey Havens A member of Cirdan's people. An elf holding a star compass in his left hand and his right hand grasping the hilt of his sword. His cloak is wind tossed with a seagull design on it. No helmet but wearing tall boots.

I would like to repeat an earlier suggestion for this month :
Ori at the last stand in the Chamber of Mazarbul
Ori was one of the dwarves of Thorin's expedition, and he followed Balin in his attempt to reclaim the Realm of Moria. He wrote the last pages in the Book of Mazarbul before he and the last few remaining Dwarves perished during a final stand. Ori did not appear in the Mithril range as a stand-alone figure, I think.

Dwarven Warrior in the Service of Sauron during the battle of The Last Alliance
I am going to hedge my bets on this suggestion as it is referenced in The Silmarillion, BUT, no character is named as it is a generalised description of the battle fought between The Last Alliance and Sauron’s forces which is mentioned in LotR. My suggestion this month is for a dwarven warrior in the service of Sauron….quote... “…All living things were divided in that day, and some of every kind, even of beasts and birds, were found in either host, save the Elves only. They alone were undivided and followed Gil-galad. Of the Dwarves few fought upon either side; but the kindred of Durin of Moria fought against Sauron.”
Should the suggestion be accepted/win I envisage the dwarf perhaps having a demonic style helmet, a shield emblazoned with the Lidless Eye, and perhaps some kind of axe/weapon in keeping with Sauron’s armies. Even the style of dress could be more reminiscent of a more 'Eastern' people. The following passage from The Hobbit, may also hint at the fact that wicked dwarves in alliance may also have fought at Dagorlad. Quote.... " They did not hate dwarves especially, no more than they hated everybody and everything, and particularly the orderly and prosperous; in some parts wicked dwarves had even made alliances with them".

Nice suggestion, Master Dave. It would be nice to see The Man's interpretation of a Sauronesque Dwarf. I've often wondered how they might differ frpm the other Houses. But I suspect the suggestion will be culled before we get a chance to vote on it!

But I suspect the suggestion will be culled before we get a chance to vote on it! Thank you Sir, I suppose in 'Tolkien-reality' they would unlikely differ too much in appearance, however for our 'reality', some artistic licence would be in order to make them look 'Sauronesque' , otherwise it is just another dwarven warrior. Re the legitimacy of the suggestion, as it is not a named character from unlicensed sources and refers to the battle also mentioned in LotR maybe, just maybe . Even if the Silmarillion link is not allowed, there is still the Hobbit quote, and my interpretation of working with wicked dwarves would include being on the same side in battle (against the Last Alliance ).

Here is another named female Character missing in the Mithril range, and she whould complete a family:
Lady of Dol Amroth, Wife of Steward Denethor.
Dúnadan of Gondor, daughter of Adrahil of Dol Amroth, sister of Prince Imrahil, wife of Denethor II. and mother of Boromir and Faramir. A beautiful and gentle woman, Finduilas after her marriage missed the Sea and the freedom of the south and dreaded the Shadow of Mordor; she faded and died twelve years after marrying Denethor. After her death Denethor became grim and withdrawn.
Not to be missed up with daughter of Orodreth of Nargothrond, who also had the name Finduilas.
A description of Lady Finduilas is given in Appendix A of The Lord of the Rings The Return of the King: "She was a lady of great beauty and gentle heart. Denethor loved her, in his fashion, more dearly than any other, unless it were the elder of the sons that she bore him. But it seemed to men that she withered in the guarded city, as a flower of the seaward vales set upon a barren rock. The shadow in the east filled her with horror, and she turned her eyes ever south to the sea that she missed."
Reference in the novel:
The Lord of the Rings The Return of the King Chapter V The Steward and the King
... They were clad in warm raiment and heavy cloaks, and over all the Lady Éowyn wore a great blue mantle of the colour of a deep summer-night, and it was set with silver stars about hem and throat. Faramir had sent for this robe and had wrapped it about her; and he thought that she looked fair and queenly indeed as she stood there at his side. The mantle was wrought for his mother, Finduilas of Dol Amroth, who died untimely, and was to him but a memory of loveliness in far days and of his first grief; and her robe seemed to him raiment fitting for the beauty and sadness of Éowyn. ...

Old man seated before the Paths of the Dead
Tolkien's description provides all the information Chris will need to realise the ancient and doubtless ragged hillman who watched over the Door leading to the dreaded Paths of the Dead - presumably the final living descendant of the Hillmen whom Isildur had cursed:
"...when the Eorlingas came out of the North and passed at length up the Snowbourn, seeking strong places of refuge in time of need, Brego and his son Baldor climbed the Stair of the Hold and so came before the Door. On the threshold sat an old man, aged beyond guess of years; tall and kingly he had been, but now he was withered as an old stone. Indeed for stone they took him, for he moved not, and he said no word, until they sought to pass him by and enter. And then a voice came out of him, as it were out of the ground, and to their amaze it spoke in the western tongue: The way is shut.
'Then they halted and looked at him and saw that he lived still; but he did not look at them. The way is shut, his voice said again, It was made by those who are Dead, and the Dead keep it, until the time comes. The way is shut.
'And when will that time be? said Baldor. But no answer did he ever get. For the old man died in that hour and fell upon his face; and no other tidings of the ancient dwellers in the mountains have our folk ever learned.'
—J.R.R.Tolkien, The Return of the King chapter 3 "The Muster of Rohan".
