It is interesting Barliman to read your response as I in no way named you in my post. There have been several figure ideas resubmitted besides yours and I was speaking about them all and not any one idea in particular but like we say if the shoe fits wear it. Honestly you can submit Eorl until the cows come home for all I care. I had no idea you have submitted the idea of Eorl 11 times and that just about fits my cows come home analogy. You can call it persistence if you want to and you are right in that you are not forcing anyone to vote for your idea. You are also correct in that if a suggestion does not win the first time out it does not make that suggestion a bad idea and I nor anyone else to my knowledge ever said that. I was just agreeing with the post by twrich and thought he brought up some very relevant points. I am well aware of how democracy works my friend as I have put my life on the line for the past 30 years defending it.

It's nice to be right about so many things all at once! That doesn't happen often. And I'm quite happy to wear whatever shoes you want to throw in this direction when they're my size.
Er, can I assume you won't be voting for Eorl?

I have already cast my vote for Aragorn & Eomer Barliman but believe it or not I do like your suggestion for Eorl. If he wins this time round - then congratulations. If not and you resubmit the idea I will judge it against all the others for that month and place my vote. Good luck to you and all the other entries this month.

Hang in there Fellowshippers I guess the big thing to remember is that if any of the four get up, we're going to have a rip-snorter of a mini. The bonus for Eorl is that it _might_ keep Barly quiet. For a week or two . While I might sound like a broken record (and perhaps not overly fussy - but I don't think so), I think that pretty much every suggestion that has been made is well worthy of a sculpt, and strongly encourage folk to resubmit ideas. Don't think you've heard the last of Beregond, or the blindfolded hobbits, or the weary ranger, or even Ghan-buri-ghan and Theoden..... And - importantly - thanks to everyone who has suggested things - be there ideas for sculpts or on how this Fellowship thing works - it's a new thing for Mithril and (probably) for all of us, and working these things out mean it'll be better for the future ;D.

Yes, don't tempt providence! Otherwise, in keeping with the finest traditions of irony and slapstick, a wagon-load of banana-skins will suddenly appear coming the other way...

Morning,
my decision was driven by two facts:
the first: I like Chris' visions of mounted middle-Earth figures (Halbarad is an absolute masterpiece!!)
the second: the Gold membership will rise up in price, when you think how much a good vignette has to cost, so that the Mithril company's earnings are acceptable (they cannot do to much welfare, as they are an enterprise :-)).
But the ideas are nonetheless great and inspiring!! I hope, that Mithril is going to continue some of his older ranges, maybe it is possible to continue the production of the vignettes as the members ideas are so nice (Arvedui and Lossoth chief are perfect!)

It looks like congratulations are in order Barliman for your Eorl suggestion unless the ground opens up and swallows Ireland into the abyss! Well done and I hope I can have your patience and persistence to have a suggestion of mine created some day.

I'm both astonished and relieved to see that Eorl can ride that darned horse properly after all. The fact that he received no more than one or two votes on his first half-dozen appearances should be encouragement to others that persistence can pay off in the end!
