GOOD GUY DECEMBER 2006 VOTE: "I left out the watcher in the water as to do it justice it would need to be a small diorama. Likewise the orc as Shelob%u2019s victim which although an interesting suggestion, should really count as a vignette, with the rocky additions. The small Cold drake would also need to be a kit of several parts and cannot therefore be included as a single figure. I left out Sauron the Necromancer as we made this figure only last year." by Chris Tubb. I think all our fans will be satisfied at the list of 18 options to vote for. Remember one vote per member for this round of voting. You can add your personal comment why you voted for that option as well. Vote ends January 23rd at 16.00 GMT. Vote for your favourite. On the 23rd I will start a second vote on the 3 or 4 most popular suggestions. This will allow you to vote again to decide on the final winner. Remember you can always resubmit an idea another month to try again.
Also remember to vote in the BAD GUY January vote.

Thorongil would be a perfect match with Thorongil (Good Guys).

I'm in a Dwarvish mood this morning so I voted for Nain and Azog.

It would be great to have Faramir in Ranger gear to compliment the other Ranger figures by Mithril as this opens up so many possibilities for scenes in several locations.

Just to clarify "Thorongil (Aragorn in the service of Denethor)" option, I actually said Thorongil could be wearing armors/clothes of Gondor, Rohan, or Eastern influence, with Mr. Tubb deciding which he wanted to do. Besides, he wasn't in the service of Denethor II (not yet steward), it was Ecthelion II. Denethor II was happy to see that he had disappeared just after his moment of triumph.

Hi collector fellows!
HAPPY NEW YEAR first of all! New year, new luck!
By the way, it was the SILENT WATCHER of the tower of Cirith Ungol, not the watcher in the water! however, I will resuggest it later - very good choices ...
My first round goes to the elven lady, not released yet.
Vote wisely!
Cheers, Harald from germany.

Great suggestions all - in fact, brilliant suggestions . I could easily go for any of them, but for old-times sake, I thought I'd give Bombur a run! Not that I think Bombur himself is likely to do much running.....

How come everyone's forgotten - even Chris, seemingly - that there's already been a Faramir in Ranger garb (M377)?
Though there are several other worthy contenders - Angbor, Nain and Bombur particularly appeal - it has to be Thorongil for me, ideally in Gondorian gear.

Twas a particularly tough choice, with the various modes of Aragorn being appealing. I had to go with an old dward in Nain, however. Sort of fits in to my Azanulbizar fetish!

Well, the current Faramir in Ranger garb is rather...uhm...uninspiring. Its fine for what it is - dear old Faramir moping along while following Anborn carrying a squirming gollum. The detailing is a bit bland. It's a nice mini, but probably not what you'd expect from one of the heroes of the saga.
Still, there's some brilliant suggestions here. I voted for Eorl, but if it comes down to it, I am going for Throngil!

I vote for female ranger, because I hope for a dynamic pose.
M16 have good standing pose but I think a female ranger with one knees on floor looking for orcish 'll be a nice figure. I think a longbow 'll be a nice weapon. She may wear long boots and long cloak. I know it must be a single figure but a little animal as familiar may be a good addition. (a bird for example)

I ordered two "Faramir and Eowyn" sets - one will become Faramir and Eowyn in the Houses of Healing diorama, created as a gift for a friend. The other will be chopped and changed to create a more dynamic looking Faramir - I hope!
I've always had a soft spot for Faramir. He's a really cool character. I'd like to see him done really well.
Also: when I said Eorl up there, I really meant "Eomer" duh.

Think Dwarves my friends, Nain needs to be sculpted in his heroic battle with Azog.

A female ranger in tracking pose... that sounds good :-)
While we already have the odd bird and dog, a wild cat (larger then Beruthiels spy) might make a good familiar. And I want (in the regular M range) a saddled horse without rider to accompany her, and as raw material for dioramas and conversions.

Hey anyone who hasn't voted yet! The Lossoth Hunter only needs a vote or two to make it to the second round. Think of him, an inhabitant of the frozen wastes of Forochel, written about by Bilbo in the Red Book of Westmarch, clad in hooded furs, with a harpoon, small shield, and other items as Chris might see fit!
