This is the last round for December 2006 so please everyone vote. You can comment on the suggestions too, to try to gather support for a particular candidate.

I have proposed Bombur once myself, and supported him often, but this time its the reincarnation of M16 for me. I rather take the late Bombur with attendands in a vignette month.

Bombur for me - like Eorl for a long time he has been the bridesmaid (sorry Eorl you made it in the end and a mighty fine bride you make too) and never the bride, so just picturing the 'dollop' sitting there on a pile of cusions or whatever CT decides should he win inspires me to vote for him. The Lossoth like Sharkey IMHO should be a vignette (fighting the snow troll? or with the king and sledge?).

Sorry, but it's Bombur for me, simply on the grounds that he's a named character from JRRT's writings who hasn't yet been produced whereas we've already had a female Ranger (a while ago I concede, and mightily expensive to get hold of).

There seems to be a lot of support for the female ranger. And should it prevail, I am certain to purchase one. But it seems strange to me that so many would cast votes for such a generic character as a Fellowship release that could easily be made as a regular piece in a future series. Well, it is an interesting second round of voting!

I am with you there, twrich. What's with this Female Ranger? it won't be the real M16 and there are at least a couple of other female rangers released. One as late as in the most recent M release just before Christmas.

I am sure that Bombur would make a well-received general release, too. Actually I am all for a "Dwarven Party" boxed release, with all of them. Actually, that still leaves the old Bombur as a candy for the fellowship only, so just ignore this post (yep, I still post it anyway).

I also would love to see a dwarven party box set.

I voted for Bombur for all the reasons stated by others here. I am not going to support such a generic character as a Female Ranger and pay top dollar for a non entity as a Fellowship release. This is frustrating and makes no sense at all to me.

Come on fellowship members lets us not forget the sturdy folk, vote for Nain the Dwarf (at Azinulbizar).

If not sturdy, then I think we could agree that Bombur tends towards stout ;-). As always, it'd be great if all four got up!

Well, axe99, so do I feel about it ... but as we know, not all of the four can get up .... would be a hassle to explain such a vignette ... - As for me, once again I will be satisfied with the outcome of this election Just think of all those brilliant ideas since the Gold Fellowship started .... .... and many of them didn't see the light until now. - I simply enjoy

Spoke too soon, messire Arnaud!
Anyway, I have An Idea. I know this is meant to be a single figure month. So no mounted figures. But let's forget that for a moment.
If The Female Ranger wins, then it should be a mounted miniature. M16 already exists. There's also a Northman female Ranger. And an Eriadoran female scout. (All excellent miniatures). And there is already a movement to make a Mithril Classics version of M16. So why not go for something different. A mounted female Ranger.
Use a pre-existing horse (eg from the Watcher At Sarn Ford), and make the miniature to go on the horse. Result, a new female ranger, looking very different, in a new pose, and one that will go with the existing M16 and any future Classics release.
Whaddya think?

Ummm.. 55 voted for the bad guys. Only 53 for the good ones. We need those two votes here. And please, break the tie.
No, wait a minute, a tie will be nice if it is Chris who decides. He will choose the one that he thinks he can do better....
