The final round for January. Everyone please vote. This should be a close call.

Its Sharkey for me - its the last of the major characters of the book that is still lacking (not counting Saruman in his better days).

Well I've gone for the Black Numenorian for two reasons. 1. Although I have championed Sharky before I feel he MUST have Worm in-tow and this would need to be a vignette release. 2. If the Corsair range is to be released I don't want to pay GF prices for a character which might have a good chance of being provided anyway. Although not a reason I reckon that the BN could end up as a little 'gem' with lots of scope for that little bit of 'extra' character that CT seems to get when doing these figures. All great choices though without doubt.

Well, Sharkey would be cool but I have to go with mine own suggestion of the Lord before he was a star! I agree with ddaines, CT would do a fabulous job with this one!

Interesting to see how Sharkey's seemingly overwhelming support appears to have evaporated since round one!

I don't think so. Mr Tubb seems to filter GS-miniatures out if they coincide with a recent or upcoming release. Check CT's comments on first round november.
Anyhow, if there really will be a corsair release of the "warband" kind (is it kosher to call it that these days?) it will probably include a captain ranking kind of leader. A Captain of the Harbor (as this figure was called when he fought Thorongil on the quays of Umbar) or similar ranking admiral of the Black fleet during the WotR would be more of a centerpiece figure.
It would be nice to see him in a black numenorean garb with more lavish Haradrim details. I personally see a lot of Carthage in Umbar and thus quite a bit of the Barcid admirals-generals like Hannibal, Hamilcar and Hasdrubal in this Corsair Admiral.

The decision seems clear to me: Either black Numenorean or Corsair (the captain was my own idea, but the admiral would fit in as well ;D). I think it is time not for another version of Saruman (Sharkey) but for something human coming out of our foggy imagination. P.S.: Think about the plural of Saruman. Is it Sarumen?? In German it may be Saruman - Sarumänner?? Namarie ESTEL

I admit that there are plenty of Sarumänner, but none of them after his downfall. Sharkey is practically another character from Saruman, and he does play an important part in the Book (as opposed to Black Numenoreans and Corsairs). Perhaps that indicates that he should better come as a general release, together with Wormtongue. Anyway, with the advent of more single miniatures and the reduction of vignettes I see not much chance for the duo Sharkey/Wormtongue to make it together, though they would make fine single minis that match. Give us them in a general release, and I am perfectly happy.

Any of the three would be great, and I'm sure that Chris will make a fine sculpt, no matter the winner; but I must vote Black Numenorian Lord. I just think that he (aside from not being released anytime in the past) would be a more interesting piece, and give Chris the most freedom of artistic expression. Also, he is in my opinion the most unlikely to be released in a future regular series. This piece could present the Nazgul Lord in his full power, cunning and grace before he fell completely under the controll of Sauron.

Hello Axel, that is exactly, what I think about that: Sharkey together with worm in a double blister box or something like that as a "normal" M- release. Maybe we could see a range of miniatures of the "scouring of the shire"-chapter of the books? That would be cool if we could see not only sharkey and worm, but also his henchmen. Namarie ESTEL

I chose the Cosiar Admiral, because I thought it would make a more unusual figure. But I've been wrong before.

I second Barliman's statement about support for Sharkey! He gets my vote again. I just cannot figure out the voting of this membership!

I can't figure this voting either! A Corsaid Admiral that could just as easily be a regular release? The Black Lord would just be soooo cool (and he is a "named" character to boot). Oh well, maybe next time.

(Unlike Sharkey - and I agree with Barli, a surprising drop in support there!) the Black Numenorean Lord is still in with a fighting chance - although the odds-on favourite has to be the admiral at this stage. Maybe a Corsair admiral who happens to be a landowner with some Black Numenorean heritage?
