"I am pleased to see that many excellent earlier suggestions have been re-submitted this month, along with some new ones like Boromir and the Warg and the Swan boat of Galadriel. I have left out the flying Nazgul a being too large and complex for a Fellowship piece. With the necessary base etc it would really be a boxed set. The Gondolin guard also falls foul of the rules as Tolkien Enterprises are very strict nowadays about the use of anything with a Silmarillion name. I take note of the comment about Frodo being present at the crowning of Elessar and I will include this figure if that particular suggestion wins." Chris Tubb
I think all our fans will be satisfied at the list of 11 options to vote for. Remember one vote per member for this round of voting. You can add your personal comment why you voted for that option as well. Vote ends March 26th at 16.00 GMT. Vote for your favourite. On the 26th I will start a second vote on the 3 most popular suggestions. This will allow you to vote again to decide on the final winner. Remember you can always resubmit an idea another month to try again.

WOW! I wish I could vote for two! It was a choice between Kings Dain & Brand and the twin Elves. In the end, it was my opinion that the brothers have been ignored for too long, so I voted for the Elven brothers. But if the Kings win I won't be too sad.

Dammit, there are several suggestions here that I like at least as much as my own...In fact, this may be cumulatively the best collection of suggestions that we've ever seen in a single month. I shall have to think about this for a bit before expending my one precious vote.

Voted for my suggestion. I want some beautiful Sons of Elrond! M339 is a beautiful figure, and LR 39 isn't a bad figure either. Lr40 doesn't really do it for me, though. But all that pales before the sheer awfulness of the Sons of Elrond figures put out by the competition. The world needs some beautiful, dynamic and heroic Sons of Elrond, and Chris Tubb is the man to do it Gavin

What happened th the Bombur suggestion? Chris thought it was a comment, not an actual suggestion, as it was not stated clearly at the top of the post. However he does not have any problem with the idea so to make up for the oversight I will include it automatically in the 2nd round. This is not usual practice but members can choose to vote for it if they want, or ignore it. Bombur has waited for an open month for quite a while and it is only fair it gets a chance. Remember in future to state clearly the name of the submission at the top of the post so to avoid this type of mistake. I did ask for that to be applied last time.

So many good ideas, but well I will try once again to see the crowning of Elessarcome true... This would really be a pretty "vignette" and since we won't have vignette months for quite a while... that would be kind to vote for it, if you like the idea

While we are at Bombur... The first meeting of Bilbo and Gandalf seems also to be lost without comment. :-(

As I am about to go and get some 'supper' - fish and chips to be precise (this seems very apt, as I believe Sam mentions this dish to Gollum while cooking his coneys) I have voted for the vignette of Sam cooking his rabbits, and not least because I suggested it. MMnnn. I can smell those juicy fisshhhhh a cooking already Precious!

I'm not up to writing any poetry about Kings Dain and Brand for now, but they got my vote...

Michael, if Chris doesn't want to do it I am all fine with that. The reason I posted the way I did where two: 1) there have previously been comments about nicking someone elses 'baby' so I wanted to be curtious towards whatshis/herface who first proposed Bombur. Since this person did not come forth by the 19th I figured I could make him my suggestion. Thats the reaosn I made a second post which I hoped would be regarded as my 'official' post. 2) Chris did in the September vote write "I have had to exclude ... Bombur who , in my opinion should have some furniture and a couple of attaendants to really do him justice..."which I think is good thinking and means a month like this.
So, yes, if it is OK with Chris to add Bombur to the vote It would certainly make me happy. There are, after all, only four vignette chances per annum.

It´s high time to enter the Mithril-Hall of Fame! The two heroic kings caught my vote this month. I only hesitated for a short while ´cause I even like my own suggestion . . . But Wendy´s idea is better (and nearer to my own heart)! So: Vote the Two Kings ! ! !

I think after all that Elvenking fighting and last month's elven suggestions also there are some Dunedain, Gondor and Mordor theme winners, so it's time for a nice vignette of the little people.
So my first round vote goes for Frodo, Sam and Smeagol/Gollum. I whould love to see Chris doing Rabbits and a campfire!
But the other suggestions are all worthy, too.
PS: I don't think Gollum eats cooked fish! – raw and wriggling! ;o)

I'm gratified to see the sudden run of votes in support of the Trumpeting Ent! I voted for him myself a couple of days ago, though I confess I was sorely tempted for a while by the prospect of seeing a revamp of Elladan and Elrohir. The idea of seeing 'Sam cooking on a campfire' is also appealing - I wonder what Hobbit actually tastes like? I'm guessing pork.

Sorry to have been away for so long but my Squadron is training for deployment and combat operations. As stated by all - so many outstanding choices to choose from!! Well done by everyone who proposed these selections! In the end my vote went to The Crowning of Elessar!! Good luck to you all!

Mae govannen, I voted for HIRGON as I think that this suggestion is not a favourite. Some other suggestions are quite nice, as the trumpeting Ent and so on, but I am rather surprised, that there are so many members, who would like to see again and again the same characters as miniatures, like Elladan and Elrohir as this guys (as not so important in the story) still exist!! Well that seems to be life (or live??) I hope, there there will be no fellowship miniatures like Gandalf smoking pipe or Galadriel dancing and so on. Most collectors have more Gandalfs and Galadriels than the Dark Lord has Orks. NAMARIE ESTEL
