Welcome to another exciting chance to add your ideas and dreams to Mithril's LOTR miniatures. Post your suggestions here. ONE per member. This is a single figure month, NO Mounted options will apply.Examples of past single figures include the King of the Dead and the Lossoth hunter. Due to the increased workload on Chris, he has asked that we accept only single figure suggestions for the rest of the year. I know it will disappoint some members but what is the point in winning the vote if the figures never get made and Chris is trying to work on general releases as well. The only other restriction is that the figures MUST conform to our license, so NO Silmarillion based characters are allowed. They have to be in the Hobbit or LOTR books. The final say is ours and no arguement will be allowed. Ask if you are worried about its eligiability. Please submit ideas in the following format ONLY: IDEA TITLE "this is why I think 'Idea Title' is a good idea for this month..." Make the title stand out (within reason) and separate from any supportive text by a paragragh. This will prevent Chris accidently overlooking it when he compiles the voting list later on. Otherwise it could be mistaken as a comment not a new suggestion. Please add some quotes about where it is mentioned or give descriptions to promote your suggestion. Even add a picture or submit it to me to add to the gallery page. If you drum up support NOW, the you have a much better chance when it is time to vote. Voting will begin on the 20th of June (first round). We stop taking suggestions at 16.00 GMT on the 19th. You may add comments about other members suggestions as well. If you post any suggestions elsewhere it may not be seen or credited. Please post any suggestions in English. (That is all I can respond in, sorry). If you have any questions then post in the other thread provided for such questions. GO TO GALLERY PAGE: www.mithril.ie/Fellowship/gallery.html

My suggestion this month is Eomer on the Pellenor"Stern now was Eomer's mood, and his mind clear again. He let blow the horns to rally all men to his banner that could come thither; for he thought to make a great shield-wall at the last, and stand, and fight there on foot till all fell, and do deeds of song on the fields of the Pelennor, though no man should be left in the West to remember the last King of the Mark. So he rode to a green hillock and there set his banner, and the White Horse ran rippling in the wind. "Out of doubt, out of dark, to the day's rising I came singing in the sun, sword unsheathing. To hope's end, I rode and to heart's breaking. Now for wrath, now for ruin, and a red nightfall!"These staves he spooke, yet he laughed as he said them. For once more lust of battle was on him; and he was still unscathed, and he was young and he was king: the lord of a fell people. And lo! even as he laughed at despair he looked out again on the black ships, and he lifted up his sword to defy them." I imagine Eomer, standing beside his banner (this might need a slightly bigger base), his ring-sword held two handed, his hair free in the wind. His face is grim, he has given in to death, but he is young and fair and a prince of the Northmen. This is his finest hour. This is the moment he will be remembered for, as one of the greatest kings of Middle Earth. He is beautiful. His cloak whips out behind him, as the wind freshens from the south. The same wind that will carry Aragorn to the Pellenor is in Eomer's face. Other details are the same as the Mithril Classic Eomer, only sans horse Gavin

King Elessar holding up his little son Eldarion
similar to Gilraen fleeing to Imladris with little Aragorn in arms, just more joyful
As Aragorn is a very much liked personality to the club members, My suggestion this month is: Lord Aragorn some time after his coronation and wedding to Lady Arwen with his firstborn son Eldarion at young age, holding him up with both arms over his head. King Elessar in royal garment, but wearing rather a circlet than the tall winged crown. Both looking and laughing or smiling at each other. Or the pose could be just little Eldarion on the Arm of Elessar, like Gilraen, if there should be to much trouble making the arms and boy seperately, though it worked well with the trumpeting Ent also, and that one was bigger...
The figure could be similar touching as Gilraen carrying little Aragorn! - Of course more happier, for there is no fleeing...
Let the line of Kings of Gondor and Arnor go on!
Cheers, Hwolf

Cheers, Hwolf MAE GOVANNEN MELLON, This suggestion is very special and so very nice!! I like this suggestion of a 'royal GF- series' and especially this one with Eldarion as a baby and an old growing Aragorn (I know I would paint his hair with a little grey in it). No such figure has been made by Chris (if you do not count Gilraen) so again nice suggestion. NAMARIE estel

The imagination of the Battle on the Pelennor Fields with the appearance of the Rohirrim at the break of day and these staves Eomer spoke have always given me goose bumps! What a monumental picture! I will support this!

Nonetheless I have a suggestion which I hope could be supported by others:
Narvi, cutting stones of the famous west gate of Moria!
He is one of two artists and craftsmen which was copied by J.R.R. Tolkien himself!!!! The other one was Celebrimbor. Any comment else would be senseless . . .

King Dain, King Under the Mountain
Since King Brand won last month, I'd like to see King Dain made as well. If they are both in battle pose, I can put them back to back myself, as I had suggested it for some vignette months.
I imagine Dain in the War of the Ring as an old, but hardy dwarf, richly armored, with his long white beard tucked in his belt fighting a battle worthy of many a song. Would a type of dragon helm be appropriate?

Well, there already is a 'King Dain' figure (M366). But I have to admit that I never liked that figure because it does not reveal what I imagine a royal dwarf should look like.

Yes, Theobald, this is very true! And I always loved Wendy´s idea of the last stand of these two great kings since I read about it first (Though I didn´t try to copy it. Brand was my own wish and I always thought the first time he has been suggested was by me). So, I feel splitted in two parts cause I gave my word and promised my vote to another suggestion.
It would be great to see them united!

Balrogs Fury[glow=red,2,300][/glow] The balrog made no answer. The fire in it seemed to die, but its darkness grew. It stepped slowly on to the bridge and suddenly it drew itself up to a great height, and its wings were spread from wall to wall....Fellowship of the Ring pg 429 I thought it might be interesting to have another depiction of the Balrog of Moria and this description of it raising itself up to full height with fully expanded wings with the depth of its darkness being revealed seems really interesting. I don't know if the scale of this figure would be to large though.

Mae govannen mellon,
maybe to introduce a new series, like Imrahil did introduce the knights of Dol Amroth, I would like to suggest:
[glow=red,2,300]GRISHNACH of Barad-Dur[/glow]
This Orc figure should be definitly a characterful one, much different from the other MITHRIL Orcs, which still exist. Grishnach should be a larger Orc with very large arms, lots of knifes in his belt and iron boots. Grishnach should not stand upright, but more crooked. As Chris has reached such an extremely high level of designing (Imrahil looks fantastic, the corsairs are the ultimate vision of that evil pirates and do not forget Halbarad!!) I think a very mean and devious facial expression would be fine. Grishnach should have a scimitar, but also a battle worn shield at his back with the red eye on it. His pose should be a "threaten a hobbit or other Orcs" one, with a slightly turned to left head, staring at his "victim", prepared to stick someone with his dagger in his right hand. The other hand should be cranked like in pain (hey it is an Orc, remember where they come from).
Hope this guy has a chance and this would please the GF's. We have so few named evil characters and maybe Chris is inspired to design a complete M-series of Orcish heroes.
NAMARIE estel
P.S.: Remember the Orc warband leader Salute figure- isn't it great?!

[glow=red,2,300]FEMALE ASSASSIN OF DOL AMROTH!!![/glow]
She would be a great compliment to the Dol Amroth series, which by all accounts has no women or common people as part of the release. With cape blowing in the wind and hood back showing her windswept hair, she could be poised to strike a dagger blow to the back of some unsuspecting nobleman or soldier of Dol Amroth. Her garb would be light, allowing for stealth. But she would also be disarmingly beautiful, allowing her to get close to her targets when not ambushing them outright. Certainly the Dark Lord had minions at work in the Fellowship cities of the West. She also would be easy for Chris to sculpt and not very expensive for us!
We have plenty of warriors of all races, and many versions of the main characters. Lets have another female for a change!
