Welcome to another exciting chance to add your ideas and dreams to Mithril's LOTR miniatures. Post your suggestions here. ONE per member. This is a single figure month, NO Mounted options will apply. Examples of past single figures include the King of the Dead and the Lossoth hunter. Due to the increased workload on Chris, he has asked that we accept only single figure suggestions for the rest of the year. I know it will disappoint some members but what is the point in winning the vote if the figures never get made and Chris is trying to work on general releases as well. The only other restriction is that the figures MUST conform to our license, so NO Silmarillion based characters are allowed. They have to be in the Hobbit or LOTR books. The final say is ours and no arguement will be allowed. Ask if you are worried about its eligiability. Please submit ideas in the following format ONLY: IDEA TITLE "this is why I think 'Idea Title' is a good idea for this month..." Make the title stand out (within reason) and separate from any supportive text by a paragragh. This will prevent Chris accidently overlooking it when he compiles the voting list later on. Otherwise it could be mistaken as a comment not a new suggestion. Please add some quotes about where it is mentioned or give descriptions to promote your suggestion. Even add a picture or submit it to me to add to the gallery page. If you drum up support NOW, the you have a much better chance when it is time to vote. Voting will begin on the 19th of August (first round). We stop taking suggestions at 16.00 GMT on the 18th (Thursday). You may add comments about other members suggestions as well. If you post any suggestions elsewhere it may not be seen or credited. Please post any suggestions in English. (That is all I can respond in, sorry). If you have any questions then post in the other thread provided for such questions. GO TO GALLERY PAGE: www.mithril.ie/Fellowship/gallery.html

I will make this suggestion: [glow=red,2,300]Eomer at Helm's Deep![/glow] He should have his sword out and have a shield as well. Preferrably in an action pose, but not sure of the pose. He of course should have mail and his helm on, but no cloak. ;D

OHTAR, BEARING THE SHARDS OF NARSIL
The history of Ohtar account the same Elrond to Boromir during the council at Rivendell:
“…..From the ruin of the Gladden Fields, where Isildur perished, three men only came ever back over the mountains after long wandering. One of these was Ohtar, the esquire of Isildur, who bore the shards of the sword of Elendil; and he brought them to Valandil, the heir of Isildur, who being but a child had remained here in Rivendell. But Narsil was broken and its light extinguished, and it has not yet been forged again.(The Council of Elrond, The Fellowship of the Ring)”
It could represent Ohtar carrying above the coat of Isildur, as a tray, the Narsil´s fragments. Another idea is that Ohtar bear the fragments of the sword wrapped in a blanket and represents the moment at which the sample to those present at Rivendell.
In any case he must be a type with proud bearing, as the squire of the king, while quite young.
Best regards

Tom the Troll from the Hobbit Having seen the preview picture of the excellent sculpt by Chris of William the Troll, perhaps now is as good a time as any to suggest Tom, one of Williams vulgar companions. Tom's pose would be dictated perhaps by the passage in the book.

I would like to resubmit my suggestion of Boromir blowing the great horn of Gondor as it had a wonderful response in the last round. Thanks to all who voted for him.

Mae govannen, it is very hard to decide, which figure I should suggest this time as I have two ideas (old ones) and no mounts are allowed to give Chris a chance to give us more figures . so hard to decide. NAMARIE estel

Mae govannen mellon, at first I would like to say WELCOME to all those Gold Fellowship-members who are new in this forum! As there are no mounted figures allowed, I would like to resubmit something to have some different kind of miniature (no other man please ;D) [glow=red,2,300]Rùmil, guardian of Lorien[/glow]. I would like to see an arrogant Elf (to many men suggested here ;-)) with some kind of rope at his side, as this was the “bridge” for the remaining 8 fellows to cross the Celebrant (silver course). I would not like this figure have a spear, but please a bow at his back and a sword and maybe a long knife. I like the Beleg figure very much, so a mélange of some Beleg kind figure and the Lorien miniatures would be satisfying. Maybe some stone on the base would be nice, like the M320 (Elf girl). I would like to see Rùmil in a watching position. (Maybe some fellows would like a squirrel at the stone at Rùmils feet, so why not?). Some other details should be one or two pouches, maybe a narrow headband to hold his hair. That’s it! NAMARIE Estel Sorry Wendy, my suggestion could well be Haldir, but Rumil and Orophin are brothers I would like to see like Haldir. So I will SUPPORT Haldir if he is one of the finalists

What about female figures?
Again, I don't loose hope because I know there is a numerous part of collector fellows who also want to see Elronds wife released:
LADY CELEBRIAN
Celebrian, wife of Elrond Half-elven with flowers in her golden hair dressed in noble elven garments.
Celebrian is a character, that wasn't released so far: We have miniatures of Elrond, Elrohir & Elladan and Arwen already, but there is one still missing to complete the family:
Lady Celebrian - fair haired daughter of Galadriel & Celeborn of Lothlorien wife of Elrond and mother of the twin brothers and Lady Arwen
There is the story, that she travelled once from Rivendell to Lorien and she and her travelling party were attacked and captured by cruel orcs. Celebrian was rescued quickly by her brave sons, healed from a serious arrow wound by Elrond. But she got sad of middle-earth, so she went over the sea to the undying lands and left middle-earth some time ago.
Cheers and happy suggesting, Hwolf

Wow, already too many good suggestions! - I'm especially torn between Ohtar, Haldir and Boromir at the moment. However, in order to ensure variety I shall still suggest a figure of my own - and this time it's
BOMBUR AT THE BATTLE OF FIVE ARMIES
- simply because I'd like to see a really rotund armoured Dwarf in the Mithril range! Bombur has been suggested many times before (if not recently), but I don't think anyone has previously requested him in full battle kit. I'm sure Chris would provide us with an impressive rendition, his Dwarves invariably being wonderfully visualised.

I suggest
Strider at weathertop with a torch in his hand attacking the ringwraiths [/size] I think it will be a nice add-on to the "Witch-King in his true form" - figure.

fellows if you don't know: there is a Othar figure already: ms226 - fellowship figure with Isildur and Elrond, Othar is bearing the broken sword Narsil and Isildurs shield, though the sword is not very good visible so what will the suggestion be? Othar running or leaping on his escape to Rivendell? www.mithril.ie/Fellowship/index.html

Lots of great suggestions - I think Bombur has the edge at the moment - most of the Dwarves to date have been stocky, rather than properly rotund.

so what will the suggestion be? Othar running or leaping on his escape to Rivendell? I trust the creativity of C. Tubb to make an excellent Ohtar. I think in Ohtar moving (including wounded) or as I said earlier, handing over the remains of Narsil once has come to Rivendell. In this case can be displayed on a shield or exposed on the blanket in which It were transported

GRIMBOLD,
I will give details to follow, but he is a warrior of Rohan and would complement the recently produced Theodred

There's already a super Grimbold figure available in the 'Helm's Deep' range (LT15). A mounted Grimbold is what we really need, of course, but sadly isn't 'allowed' at the moment.

Really great suggestions this month, so I will not add anything else. Congratulations to everybody who has made a suggestion. But it will be a difficult decision in both rounds. Best regards Alex
