"I left out Gandalf on Gwahir as a man-bearing eagle would be so large and would necessitate a large number of pieces." -- Chris Tubb.
This is a blind vote (as usual) and you will see the current status of the vote only AFTER you have submitted your vote. You only get one so please think carefully about what miniature you most want to see created by Mithril miniatures. This vote ends at 16.00 BST on July 23rd August 5th.

Once again I will not let know what I voted for ... as it is - or meant to be - a 'blind vote'.

All I'll say for now is that I didn't vote for my own suggestion. Fickle or what?

so that vote has ended ? 45 votes is not a lot, is it?

Well, it's better than some months, and people may well be on vacation at this time of year. The four 'leaders' in this vote are a good selection, though, and it'll be interesting to see if the wolf-rider can hang on to his lead in round 2.

Seems as though we have another extended deadline, with vote 46 coming well after the poll was to close?
If that is correct, it is a good thing it didn't tip the balance and eliminate a choice from the second round.

yes, twrich, that's strange indeed ... but unfortunately it's not the first time something like this happened.

That vote went for the "wolf-rider standard-bearer" and, as you said, it didn't cause any harm this time ... but ....

Didn't Micheal mention somewhere on a newsletter or somewhere that he would be away around about now and the poll might not close on time?

perhaps he did and that would explain it--two more votes in the last 12 hours.

Folks be patient, it's summertime, time for vacations.... I think I wonder too about that still can be voted but I don't think it will change much

strange thing... why would he put such a date for the vote if he knew he could not close it?
it's not the first time that the vote does not close at the given date and each time it's a bit longer to close.... with such rythm we will end up having a figurine for each two months instead of one maybe that's the goal behind it

At least the additional "beyond-the-deadline" votes haven't affected the top four (Radagast, the Wolf-rider, Flight to the Ford, and the Shield-maiden) - they remain as per when the voting OFFICIALLY ended on the 23rd.

Maybe we'll get another vote before the poll is closed to make 50, we haven't seen that in awhile. If we do I hope it's for Angbor to force a 5th suggestion in the second round of voting.

The number of late votes continues to rise - and has now pushed a single figure into second place, whereas before there were three neck-and-neck.

I hope the 'ongoing saga' isn't anything more serious than a 'blip' to the system and nothing to do with any health issues or suchlike. Or will it suddenly close when one of the two suggestions tying on 5 votes gets another vote ?
|
|
|
Post by barliman on Aug 5, 2009 5:46:19 GMT
Actually, there are THREE suggestions with five votes - the fact that one of them picked up an additional vote four days after the poll's "official" closing date should be ignored.

mmhh it seems that michael should put in place a system like december-january for july-august... The dates of this poll is irrelevent and will end up in us having no figurine for August... if the time for july second vote ends up by the end of august, we won't have time to submit a suggestion for august... or....
everything will be postponed (releases... and suggestions) and we will end up suggesting the august figurine in september... etc...

Sorry about the delay, I was back on Tuesday but have had computer and internet problems that have delayed stuff. I will organise the second round to run for a week in August and have the suggestions for August run along side it.
