Due to Chris not being available this week it seems I must risk listing the ideas and hope that they do not cause a problem. While all ideas are good ones, and they seem possible, I cannot be sure about the license restrictions.
Not sure where Mithlond is?
The Ranger playing cards may or may not include a chair, depending on Chris's decision on the matter.
So taking a leap of faith I will start the thread. If a problem crops up we can work it out. Its only a poll after all.
This vote ends on the 22nd.
Its a blind vote so you only see the result AFTER you cast your vote. The list of ideas are quite ingenious this month so it should encourage strong competition.

I, for one, love the idea of that shape changing Beorning! Perhaps not pictured as spectacular as the werewolves in "An american werewolf!", but, maybe, in this direction . . . You know that all: blasting muscles, growing fur, ripping clothes! That kinda stuff!

Imho its time again for the icon of the Mithril collectors, the M16, to have a new appearance.
Her first reincarnation as "Tracking" was only a second price anyway. Those who remember the second year will recollect the race between her in mounted pose and the West gate of Moria, with both having the same number of votes and only after "overtime" the Westgate won by a single vote - just to get cancelled later on because it was not feasable to produce. At least due to this story Chris gave us an incarnation of Morlas, the frightening beast of the darkest ranges of Mirkwood. While she made the run the next month, I always miss here in mounted pose, to the degree that I converted one myself.
Anyway, thats well over three years ago, and imho M16 is still the icon of the collector, even when other miniatures managed to get better prices (especially some 54mm). Beside the M16 I have a deep love for the old "Prancing Pony" set, with the folks enjoying a good beer after a hard day. The cardplayers are among my all-time favorites (together with the lute player) in that set, and I would REALLY love to have an M16 to put into that scene.
Thus said, and just to make known what is behind that suggestion, my vote goes to the "Female Dunadan Ranger playing cards".

"They all laughed and stamped and clapped their hands, when the dwarves (with poor little Bilbo at the back and nearest to the whips) came running in, while the goblin-drivers whooped and cracked their whips behind."
'He is a liar, O truly tremendous one!' said one of the drivers. 'Several of our people were struck by lightning in the cave, when we invited these creature to come below; and they are as dead as stones. Also he has not explained this!' He held out the sword which Thorin had worn, the sword which came from the Troll's lair.
Note: While obviously not Uruk-Hai, I would hope to see the goblin driver with some meat on his bones. I imagine they were larger than the average orc. Words like "big" and "great" and "ugly-looking" were used to describe them. At the very least they were a well-fed, handsome lot! Grrrrrrr!

Grond, you bring a smile to my face! I will not vote for the Driver this round, preferring Hirgon and the Red Arrow, as they are, I think, an important named character and item. But I like your enthusiasm!

The Northman Lady, Master Thingol, is meant to be a woman of the Beorning tribe (or even a Woodman, or Lady of Dale) who could either be a MERP player-character piece, or a diorama character. Maybe she is one of the maidens at Brand's court. Maybe she is the chieftain's wife in Woodmen Town. The figure is inspired by the included Liz Danforth image. Though I'd like it if Master Michael gave her a more evocative name for round 2! Attachments:

Without the “common people” and so called “creatures”, the LoTR, or any fantasy story for that matter, would lack depth and ultimately fail. Dragons, trolls, wraiths, etc. add spice and give our heroes purpose. After all, what would The Hobbit be without Gollum and Smaug? If we were to lose the goblins, we would have the Battle of the Four Armies; dwarves would battle elves and men...Zzzzzzz! And do you think Sauron could have mobilized without his creatures? At the end of the dark tunnel it is the thing with claws and fangs that captivates.

Master Grond, I think you clearly miss one concept of the "MS" releases... I do not say Gold Fellowship on purpose here as Gold Fellowship is to let people suggest what they want indeed... But I would like to remind you the original purpose of MS... and what it stands for : Mithril Special... Indeed "common creatures" are necessary... but that's what the "regular" M releases are supposed to be for... Now the problem is : there is NO more regular releases.... so people suggest common things to be able to see them released... this is a vicious circle... One day, people won't care anymore about having regulars if they can have it in MS... how ironic... Give mithril a chance and a reason to release regulars support ideas for regulars so that they will eventually release some.... what else to say, when you know that more than two sets of regulars have been ready to be "mass casted" for more than a year, but lack... potential market (well I invite Michael or Lars to prove me wrong here... as I have this information directly from their maker) ok, that was off topic... but I want to focus on the fact that besides the rules of Gold Fellowship... it is for Mithril SPECIALS we suggest and vote, so be it orc, personnality or whatever, let it be - at least - SPECIAL in a sense that it does not fit something that could be in a common range...

Ahhh, Gildor. I remember you... and your allies. You know something? You're absolutely right. I have no concept of MS, regulars, unleaded, or premium. In fact, I wouldn't know a Mithril Special from a Double Whopper w/Cheese! Michael suggested that we focus on The Hobbit this month, so I picked something that I liked from the book. The way I see it, members can vote for it or not. The only vicious circle I've seen in this forum is the cliquey kind, whose members control via secret vote, shunning the unpopular, or slamming an idea simply because it doesn't fit their needs. Of course every forum has its little clubs, and everyone has a vision of their own ideal. Some share the same ideal. It's so easy when the forum is so small. No wonder so many members can't be bothered. It's easier to just buy whatever Mithril makes and avoid the politics. No offense Christophe, but abbreviation, classification, or even numeric identification isn't an issue. I prefer to keep the suggestion and voting simple: 1. Make a suggestion. 2. Support & Defend it. 3. Vote for your favorite idea.

I share Gildor clarification of this MS concept ...
1. but Gavin's pictures is realy nice... 2. but in this case is more important that mr. Tubb sculpt lady with the hawk in special thinking pose not one regulay girl in dress.... those figure could have special mithril magic... 3. But Gavin must implicate that his wish came true....

I share the idea of Thingol and Gavin... for me the northman lady fits in the "category" of special.... I suppose this was misunderstood... It does not have to be "personnality" or a very obscure and exotic scene... I just meant "special"... Now if you see my post as a personal "attack" master Grond, I feel sorry for that... the fact that you don't like my work on mithril classification, well we can't please everybody I suppose... I was only pointing out that the lack of regular releases will KILL mithril... and suggesting "regulars" for specials will comfort the leaders at mithril to keep NOT releasing regulars I'm afraid... the question is thus : do we want mithril to become AND remain an elitist club of english-speaking-collector-aware-of-the-Irish-Mithril-website-existence? Mithril could change their politics and decide that mithril is a one-by-one product brand, with suggestions and votes for ALL their releases... Other brands do the same and it works for them. (Pegaso, Andrea...) but if so they should cease to have any physical retailer activities and close all their other countries websites which do NOT even mention the existence of a gold fellowship at all, worse they make people think there has been no product at all released in years and that's what people (including local retailers) think when the word mithril is used All in all, my "fight" here is to promote mithril not to make it elitist! I don't think I have allies or not here... my opinion is my own... Well I suppose my "club" will support me but honestly I'd prefer there is no such thing ... I sometimes wonder if the GF is not killing mithril... but I digress... I won't carry on with this topic in this thread... I won't carry on with it at all unless people want so and create another topic for it... it is pointless discussing it... there is only one man here who can change things...

Well, Master Grond is not to be blamed, and that´s for sure !!! It is just simple as he pointed out in his post above. Mithril gives the rules and there is only one way possible: to follow. There is only the management who is to be blamed in stopping the regular M-range. But to be honest, this point has been discussed too often in the past . . . There is frustation remaining . . .

I haven't voted for the Northman lady myself, I'm afraid. There are so many characters in the list that we have yet to see. Actually, I didn't even know until ten minutes ago that voting had started, because I never received an email to that effect...

No not me. Mrs B may have opened it by accident. She's always reading my mail in case I'm looking for a replacement sock-washer. Problem is that in the course of a day we get about a hundred emails here at the Pony, and I confess, they don't all receive my personal attention. Apologies for that.

While I don’t consider your post a personal attack Gildor, I do find it, along with your two previous correspondence, shall we say less than encouraging? I can’t speak for anyone else, but when someone dictates to me the way things are supposed to be, tells me I‘m missing the point, or, my favorite, “This is not what Tolkien had in mind.”, it puts me in a defensive mode. Arrrghh!
And when did I ever say I didn’t like your method of Mithril Classification? What you immerse yourself in no doubt has great worth. I merely stated it wasn’t an issue to be considered in the voting process. You and I don’t make the rules. We just throw ideas out there and hope that they meet the already restrictive guidelines. Let’s not make things more tedious by setting up additional roadblocks, especially when it comes to things we have no control over.
Incidentally, your MMP is impressive! Let’s get the positive waves flowing again okay? ;D

Positive waaaaves. Hmmm, how about a wave of goblin drivers! Here comes one now, swingin' a chain and kickin' dwarf tinderbox! "Let's go you bearded vermin!" says the great big beady-eyed slaver. "Get in step now, or you'll catch my boot in your arse!" Regulars and specials. Hell, ALL MY GOBLINS ARE SPECIAL! I love 'em!
