Hi Michael,
as you promised on the Newsletter I am looking forward to the swanknights of Dol-Amroth!
I hardly think that the others and me looking forward to see new warg-riders in a new mithril series or in the Battle of Mirkwood series.
I'd like to see some Corsairs coming this year and just keep in mind that the three trolls should be a must do!

Warg riders like in the list from shadyt (great).
A half orc-drummer will be a great adition to M179 and M180. Also great will be a half-orc shooting with bow.
Riders of Rohan (only mounted)
Fighting ents
More undead warriors

Hi, I am new here but I love mithril miniatures and I'am buying them since 1992. I use them for wargaming so my wishlist includes plain soldiers as:
Orc infantry Easterlings warg riders wargs without riders bad guys in the shire to play Battle of Bywater
I think that is a great idea to design Imrahil and the knigts of Dol Amroth but please, try to make more troops and few characters. I thought that the series of the battle of Mirkwood are superb.
P.D. I am from Spain, I am sorry if my english is not as good as I would

For producing Thorin and Company, I was thinking that figures with their instruments (harp, flutes, clarinets, etc) when they are playing at Bag End would be neat (and a good way to tell them apart - 13 dwarves in hoods would look pretty similar).

I live in British Columbia Canada, and have no way to buy these awesome miniatures. How can I obtain that wonderful Thranduil Miniature in Kelowna BC?

King Thranduil? Thats M63. We don't stock it. WE do stock The Elven King, look at The Hobbit Boxed Set or MCD5 (Classics) We ship to you so that is not a problem. Check out mmp.perilousrealm.com and see if they have it to trade. You can post your request on our Collectors Corner, just tell us the M-series number and name that you want. Check Ebay as well, Do a search for Mithril Miniatures.

I would like to see an Eowyn miniature with her actually wearing a dress. Technically, all the figures I have found are really the Dernhelm side of her. I don't think she would wear a strapless dress as they are just not functional. She seems more like a down to earth, get things done kind of girl than a princess type. ;D Plus, she had to help Theoden around - strapless is no good for that.
A figure of Beregond would be nice too. I know there's a Christmas figure of him, but they don't count 'cause the odds of me getting any Christmas figures are slim (and it's a different scale).

Eowyn as Eowyn is a top idea, as are all the ideas above. Other than that, maybe a dig at the Appendices for Fram? Possibly as a part of a series with some unhappy Dwarves?!

I would like to see Beorn as bear in the Battle of five armies at that moment when he was crushing Bolg! There´s a nice comic-book by David Wenzel with a dramatic scene of this turning point of the battle . . .

Hmmm, now I`m thinking about it . . . . "Yes!": all the other dwarves of Thorin´s company would be beautiful. I would bet it would be top-seller to create it like a caravan, troding trough Misty Mountains. Together with some ponies and baggage. A new Gandalf with them, keeping his hat with his hands on his head, fighting against snow and storm. Bilbo sticking in a mess of snow. Kili and Fili as pathfinders who found a roof over their heads, pointing at it. Bifur and Bofur pushing and tracking some of the ponies towards the shelter of that cave! Some - being frigthened by the great Stone-Giants - staring through storm and mist to the tops of the mountains above them . . . One should feel the fear and despair which had befallen them!

In terms of a series, I mentioned this in the Fellowship, but it's probably more appropriate out in the 'open', so to speak! What do people think of a 'Council of Elrond' series? It's a pivotal moment in the story, and could make for some nice dioramas. It also includes some characters that don't get a mention much elsewhere in LOTR such as Gloin, and it's a good opportunity for an Elrond miniature that isn't reading a book/scroll (of course I'm just joking - there are the mighty fine M270 and LR6 with Elrond all kitted out for action). Galdor could get a run, asking for proof of the ring's nature, Aragorn revealing Narsil, Boromir arguing to use the ring against Sauron, or telling the tale of Gondor's defeat in Ithilien, Gandalf looking contemplative or speaking 'ash nazg durbataluk' and so on, Glorfindel and Erestor mulling over what to do, Bilbo making his offer of taking the ring himself, Sam hiding in a corner! 'Tis just an idea though, and perhaps a little left-field, but thought I'd put it out there.

Regarding the Cof E, this is also a series I would love to see - after collecting (but not painting the majority!!) Mithrils since the beginning, I have resolved to finally turn my attention to my Mithril collection.
As a diorama/vignette modeller rather than a role-player this is a scene from the book I want to try and at the moment I am trying to decide best ways to do it.
One of the main problems being a lack of seated figures (I have the Prancing pony card players but they are already accounted for) so if this series gets the go ahead I for one would be very interested.

Hi all ;D
Beren & Luthien was never crafted in the Mithril range. What about a vignette depicting Luthien and Haun with Beren just free from his cell, Thu's corpse lying dead.

This is a bit of a random thought, but I was thinking about a diorama of Pelennor Fields the other day, and was wondering how to add some slain orcs/free peoples. I'm not sure if it would be a popular idea or not, but perhaps some orcs/people who didn't so well at Pelennor?

Another thought: Has there ever been a Haldir, Orophin (and whatever the third guy is called) mini, or set of minis? The other shot in the dark I would make would be: How about a different "look" for the Elves? A set of elf minis that have them looking lordly, imperious, unearthly, and without those triangular loin cloths! Maybe a series: the Elves of Lindon (to grab a notion randomly) representing maybe five or six different types of Elves - - Grey Elf warriors: well dressed, with flowing robes and cloaks, but dressed for a chillier clime than the rather summery looking Lorien Elves. Something like the illustration of Celebrimbor from Page 22 of the Lorien sourcebook from Iron Crown - only without the plate armour. Armed with longswords, spears and bows. - Grey Elf nobles: male and female - either to belong to a Wandering Company, or as backgrounds in a Rivendell or Grey Havens diorama. Again, rich clothes, and warm. Something like the Glorfindel figures, only with more detail. - Grey Elf loremasters: sort of magician-y, scholar-y figures, 2 male, 2 female poses. - Grey elf marinners: uh, no idea. Guys who man the Swan ships. - Grey elf scouts: Rangery type guys - Grey Elf captains: a selection of three important grey elf nobles - ship captains, scout captains, warrior captains. Something like that. Hell, while we are here, how about a few more elves of Lorien to go with the Battle of Mirkwood series: some nobles like the guys we see on the cover of the Lorien book by ICE, and those two elves that Galadriel is helping. Oh and a "warden" character like the one we see on page 27 of said book. (The Lorien book can be downloaded from www.merp.com for, uh, purely research purposes.) Gavin

I'm completelly agree with Mr. aelfwine. The idea of having more elves is one of my dreams. I would like to see elves with cloaks: elven spearmen with cloaks and almond shape shields, with no armour or maybe only a helmet. I would also like to see elven cavalry: In one of my messages, I said Noldor cavalry but due to license problems, lets say "high elves cavalry" or just elven cavalry.
Like aelfwine, I also recomend you the merp webpage. I like this kind of "research" where you can download the modules with no problems...
Aelfwine, I will increase your Karma; just keep researching.

My suggestion is a new LT-Range (or M-range) called "The Battle of the Five Armies" which should include:
- Bard in armour - Thranduil in armour - Bolg - Beorn as bear attacking - The Great Eagle attacking - Elf warrior (Standard bearer) - Elf warrior (with bow) - Elf warrior with spear - Northman warrior (Standard bearer) - Northman warrior( with bow) - Northman warrior (with longsword) - 2 Dwarves with axe - 2 Orcs (infantry with scimitar/ spear) - Wolfrider - Warg attacking
I like the LTs (Helms Deep is wonderful), now please complete "The Hobbit" with that epic battle.

I concur with Gilgaladtolkien...I think a "Battle of Five Armies" as the next M-series would be superb (or even LT...Helm's Deep was one of my favorites)! An excellent list I couldn't really add to, expect perhaps adding Gandalf and an armored Bilbo If the next M-series gets put to a vote, "Battle of Five Armies" has mine.

Hi Chris,Good Job for the "Death of Boromir". This is one of the most beautiful vignettes in the M series. But I agree with those who think that twelve vignettes per year is too expensive. We could dedicate each month for one of the 'type of figure': january will be a vignette, february will be a single ... And three vignettes for nine singles. So, we could buy nine single for a little price to rest in the fellowship and buy the three vignettes if we have money for this. It's just an idea but it will be a compromise and the vote will be more equal. ;DAnd Queen Beruthiel with cats is as a single figure. ;D Krosbone

Oh, well, here I can get rid of my ideas for this time: the meeting of Aragorn and the thirty rangers of the north in Rohan. Read this:
"Rohan? Rohan did you say? That is a glad word. We seek that land in haste from long afar." "You have found it," said Eomer. "When you crossed the fords yonder you entered it. But it is the realm of Théoden the King. None ride here save his leave. Who are you? And what is your haste?" "Halbarad Dúnadan, Ranger of the North I am," cried the man. "We seek one Aragorn son of Arathorn, and we heard that he was in Rohan." "And you have found him also!" cried Aragorn. Giving his reins to Merry, he ran forward and embraced the newcomer. "Halbarad!" he said. "Of all joys this is the least expected!"
And listen what Gimli said about them: " They are a strange company, these newcomers," said Gimli. "Stout men and lordly they are, and the Riders of Rohan look almost as boys beside them; for they are grim men of face, worn like weathered rocks for the most part, even as Aragorn himself; and they are silent."
Wouldn´t it be nice to see that meeting of friends and these "real" men, these powerful allies?

Yes, I am really interested in things of the North - the Northmen of Dale (the Battle of the Five Armies series idea rocks), the idea of the Dunedain is something I've wanted for many a year, and my idea of northern Sindarin elves all revolve around the same sort of idea. So let's all gang up and bang down the doors! hehe Still, some brilliant ideas here. Gavin
