I thought that I would start a new wish list thread. I know we are awaiting Dol Amroth and the Easterlings, but what will be after those two releases?

Since Mr. jdbrown55 has uncovered the jar essences ..... RHOVANION-Vidugavia, king of Rhovanion -Vidumavi with child Eldacar -Royal Guard Rhovanion (2) -Horseman archer Rhovanion -Warrior with sword fighting with easterling -Marhwini, the last king, on horse -Pedaler with mule loaded with wine -Elderly seer sitting at table with glass sphere -Vagabond asking money with a plateI think the serie "Rhovanion" would be a good complement to the forthcoming about the “Easterlings”. Besides armed troops would do well to include common characters of a city, as the vagabond or woman seer, as claimed by those who are like the dioramas. The peddler selling wine represent one of the typical products of this region. It should be competition to the beer Barliman... ;D Soldiers of Rhovanion can also be used as Rohirrin not in vain were their ancestors, which would be much use to the serie. A little more about the history of Rhovanion: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingdom_of_RhovanionBest regards

For a new beginning!
-Thorin`s Company, with Gandalf and Master Baggins & some ponies! -The Three Trolls! -Men from Arthedain, Cardolan and Rhudaur! Warriors, hunters, shepherds, rangers, women and children! -Men and women of the Lossoth! Men in kajaks, canoes or snow-shoes fishing or hunting seals with harpoons. -Noldorim of Eregion! Warriors, artisans, musicians, smiths. -People of Dale with King Brand! Toy-makers, carpenters, bowmen. -More people of Lake-Town! -Dunlanders! More all-day-poses! -Black Numenoreans, like people from Umbar: fishermen, traders, sailors (I know we`ve got some now).
This would be very nice for all customers: scenaries of women making butter, preparing furs, milking cows or feeding chicken. Men carving spears or arrows, building traps for wild animals, sitting ´round a campfire and talking to each other. Or a proud hunter returning from hunting with a red deer on his shoulders.
Such things would allow a wide range! It reminds me of the Prancing-Pony-Range. Normal pub-atmosphere, you know? Remember it´s success!

Very good, bombadil63, very good. Though I guess your ideas being realized would cover the next 10 years of Mithril-production ... Nevertheless I think that these basics you thought of might have been forgotten for quite a while. Yes, the 'Prancing Pony'-series ... Immediately the end of the old M-series comes to my mind. Those people from Bree ... not forgetting the earlier 'Blacksmith'-vignette ... Your ideas being produced would be a source for diorama-builders indeed. You just forgot about the squirrel in the tree, watching three trolls.

Alright, now we are talking! Keep it up! I have some more ideas, but have to think about them before I decide what to write. Thanks to those who have posted their ideas.

I know this would be of limited interest to many, but I would like to see a small, 2 figure release, of Sam gazing at the dead Haradrim fellow. This is telling moment for Tolkien and his thoughts about war. It could also be a challenge for Chris to capture this moment.

What I'd cut my right arm off for is:
The Rangers of the North
An M-series release inspired by the classic MERP module and featuring, you guessed it, the Rangers of the North.
The way I envision the series is to have twelve miniatures. Two of the miniatures are "named" one being a Ranger leader from the middle of the third age (perhaps Marl Tarma), and the other being Halbarad on foot.
Beyond that, I'd love to see.
Elladan and Elrohir - in Ranger garb (though with Elvish tones). Maybe mounted. Dunedain Healer - a healer and scholar who accompanies the Rangers on their journeys. A healer and herbsman, he is less of a warrior than his kin, but still a formidable ally. Ranger with Bow - A Ranger of the North with a longbow (perhaps with some Elvish overtones). Ranger with spear - held two handed, facing some large foe. Ranger with sword - also held two handed, a Ranger defending during some wilderness fray. Ranger in tracking pose - the Ranger is crouched down, looking for some hint of an enemy's trail. A Noldo Elf Bard (male) and an Elf Lady (female) of the Wandering Companies - similarly dressed, these Elves, like Gildor Inglorion, wander the wilds of Eriador looking over their long lost realm. Allies to the Rangers, they sometimes watch over lost travellers. A Ranger fighting an Orc - a dynamic battle pose of a Ranger of the North in deadly combat with a Northern Orc. A Warg (2) - some big slavering Warg creatures to round out the list.
Unlike the Rangers of Ithilien series (though diorama builders and gamers can and will mix and match between the two), this series would depict the Northern Rangers fighting a lonely and desperate struggle for their northern land. They are taller men, pure blooded Dunedain, but battle wearied. Their cloaks are tattered and worn. Some wear battered mail in battle. They are not mere soldiers in the background, but characters and heroes in their own right.

Three excellent M-series ideas amongst the above proposals are the Battle of Five Armies, Orcs of the Third Age and - ABOVE ALL! - the Rangers of the North (or the Grey Company, or whatever other name such a series might be given). The real problem of course, is that there is only one Mr Tubb, and he only has one pair of hands (a serious oversight on Eru's part).
Just one observation, albeit an important one: read your Tolkien very carefully and you'll see that Elladan and Elrohir are only ever described as Men and never as Elves...

Hmm, I think Master Barliman's suggestion is even better.
But throw in the Warg anyway!

I am happy to see that so many members are including orcs or wargs in their wish lists this year! I like several of the suggestions made so far, my favorites are Orcs of the Third Age, Battle of Five Armies, Battle of the Fords of Isen and Rangers of the North. A few others that I would like to see made are: Angmar orc captain on warg, a standard bearer for the army of the witchking and a wild troll of Rhudaur, additional Isengard forces including a scout on giant wolf and a large orc with axe. I would also like to see a new armored Mordor Troll.

Great suggestions!
I have thought of another one: The Pass of Cahadras (I think that is spelled right)
Gandalf holding staff with both hands looking forward Boromir carrying Sam Legolas running (when he was on top of the snow) Gimli using axe plowing through the snow Aragorn carring Frodo Bill the pony with Merry and Pippin on top
I think this would be interesting to see all of these.

very very interesting series suggestions! With that, I suppose Mithril has quite a choice to pickup... the question is... how far in their planning are they settled so far? I mean, I suppose they already had production ideas ? Lately, three of the last regular releases have been some kind of "armies" (lossarnach, corsairs, dol amroth) , that's great but that would be indeed cool to have some "thematic" series other than armies for a change. the MERP series was not really thematic according to me since they were not directly linked to each other... a new "Hobbit" full series, or passing of Caradhras would be cool the "houses of Prince of Rhovanion (ancestors to Rohirrim)" would be cool too but I am not sure if all the named mentionned (vidugavia, marhwini etc...) are covered by the licence... Also... what about a new boxed set... the last one was a Smaug Triumphant... great figurine but we could have a boxed set of a "big vignette" (like the Lord of Nazgul) instead of a "big creature" or a crossover? Old Man willow with captured hobbits and Tom Bombadil as boxed set? Watcher in the water in front of Moria gate? as for "regular" MV vignettes... there are so many possibilities that I can't put them all here
