My most wanted (in this order): 1. Oliphant (Mumakil) with a haradrim crew. If it´s necessary the body from the oliphant in resin and the rest please in metal (better everything in metal). Max price 60-70 Euros. 2. Riders of rohan. Look at the prices of M004 and M028-M032 and also the newer M259-M265 at Ebay, you have many customers for this kind of figurines! 3. Soldiers of gondor (soldiers not leaders or other special figurines). 4. Warg riders. 5. Orks, orks, orks (but please armoured orks, not more warband leaders, drummers etc.). 6. more Vignettes (at least with Sauron?). 7. Siege equipment (Minas Tirith). 8. In general equipment like N122, M285, M286. The poses from the new "Battle of mirkwood" figurines are great (like always, Chris Tubb is brilliant) and I wouldn´t want to do without them, but if you want to sell more figurines from one model (and I´m sure you want it) it´s necesarry to make the poses like M291 or M276, therefore more like warband poses. Mithril no longer offers such figurines after you stopped producing the warbands. Collectors have to pay even higher prices for them (M263, M267, M268). The prices are higher then for other figurines produced at the same time. I can´t wait to see the new Mirkwood figurines.

I would like to see some figures made of the eagles from Return of the King carrying Sam and Frodo away from Mt. Doom. I don't think this has been done yet?
Has any figures been made of the corsairs that Aragorn had to defeat to the South before joining the battle at Minus Tirith in RoTK? Or a firgure with the standard that Arwen made for him?
I would really like to see a coronation figure (vignette would work best, probably) with Aragorn, Gandalf and Frodo.
Just out of curiousity, how long does it take for a figure to be designed and put in production?

could it be posible to make the minis separate from it base? I use to use them for dioramas, and it will be a lot easier.
And please, make more vignettes.

It takes about 6 to 8 months if all goes according to plan and no major setbacks like broken tools. This is from concept to production and sale. Time flies when you are in this business. As far as the bases being separate. I don't think that we will produce figures like that. There have been some lovely dioramas made over the years and they don't seem to suffer from the fact that bases were part of the figure. Some remove the base if they have the right tools if it becomes an issue. Sorry about that.

Yes, it is easy to remove the base. But it hurts a lot doing it if you have spent a lot of money in purchasing an old mini.

I would like a Guard of the Citadel of Minas tirith in your 32mm range... This is how I guess the miniature : -First of all the helm should be the same as Aragorn's crown in M298 vignette, but a little less lofty, and with a nose guard and larger cheek guards. For it is said in RotK : "their helms were of strange shape, high crowned, with long cheek-guards close fitting to the face, and above the cheek-guards were set the white wings of sea-birds..." Rotk-Minas-Tirith and "It ( the crown ) was shaped like the helms of the Guards of the Citadel, save it was loftier(...)" RotK-The Steward and the King I like very much the Crown of M298 - Same pose as LO21 : wielding a lance, longer sword than M199 hanging at belt and holding a shield in its left hand. - same longsleeved coat of ring-mail as LO 22 Theoden (no plate vambraces). -no mail leggings but wether trousers and leather boots or only greaves as M241 or LO 22 ( Citadel Guards are foot warriors and Men at Arms, not mounted Knights, so they shouldn't be clad in full harness). -Cloak and surcoat with white tree, seven stars and crown above. This is the miniature I dream of...Please make my dream to come true Emrys

I would love to see a M series set done like the Battle of Mirkwood set, but for the Battle of the Pelennor Fields. Have one set on the heros, and the other set on the bad guys.
Heros of the Pelenor Fields: Prince Imrahil (mounted or on foot) Knight of Dol Amroth with sword and shield Knight of Dol Amroth with standard (mounted) Eowyn and Merry on foot with Rohan armor Faramir on horse King of the Dead Dead warrior of Dunharrow Beregond Eomer on foot with flag of Rohan
Forces of Sauron: Witchking on foot w/ mace Gothmog lieutenant of Morgul Easterling Chieftan Easterling Warriors with axe Black Men of Far Harad (described as half-trolls with white eyes and red tongues) Mounted Champion of Harad Corsair Commander Corsair Warriors
Last but not least, a Mumak box set, like the drawing on the Tengwar Newsletter #5 (I think every Mithril fan would love to see this one done)!!!

My wish remains the same as last year....
I would wish to see produced a representation of the various clans of Hobbits in attendance at the A Long Expected Party. A collection of Bagginses, Boffins, Tooks, Brandybucks, Grubbs, Chubbs, Burrowses, Hornblowers, Bolgers, Bracegirdles, Goodbodies, Brockhouses, and Proudfoofts would make for a lovely throng to compliment Bilbo's Farewell Speech (LR22). Perhaps each one could come with party accessories. (Mugs, bottles, cakes, gifts, etc.) It would make for a spectacular diorama! In contrast I would also like to see a representaion of various Hobbits with war accoutrements set for The Scouring of the Shire.

Oh, anything really. I've always thought a series feature our three favorite Trolls, 13 dwaves in sacks/whatnot, and one hiding hobbit would be awesome. Or Thorin and other dwarves brought before the Great Goblin.

Its interesting to note that the models being released by GW for the Knights of Dol Amroth are...well...hideous. It would be very mischievious, but rather apt if Mithril were to release a rather more restrained, realistic and fitting set of knights at around the same time... Gavin

I would love a version with the 3 trolls, even if it had the 3 trolls as stone and Frodo and Sam in it (when they passed through the area in Lord of the Rings) The idea of having all the dwarves in sacks would be great as well.

hiya Michael. Sorry for not emailing you in the meantime. soon, I promise. The Knights of Dol Amroth. Tolkien describes them as tall as lords, "grey eyed, dark haired, singing as they came." Imrahil comes with a banner, gilded we are told., with the crests of the ship and the silver swan. the knights wear full harness. Bright mail is mentioned elsewhere. As is Imrahil's vambrace. So, I was thinking. More Sir Gawain and the Green Knight than guys with lances and gothic plate armour. Something closer to the old Gondorian infantry from Mithril. Just give them a sort of Elvish vibe. Of course, failing that, you could always just buy this design: www.thelastalliance.com/index.php?pid=view_replies&thread_id=18049&forum_id=1Gavin

I agree with some of the comments made on that page about the horse and chainmail. As per ususal I will pass the note to Chris. ;D

I would love to see figures made of Bullroarer Took (club in hand) and Golfimbul, if they haven't been made already. Since they are mentioned in the Hobbit, it should allowed by the license.

Was a figure of Beregond ever made? I have M196 - Pippin and Bergil, which would make me assume a figure of Beregond has been made. I looked through the catalog (suppied on this message board) but couldn't find Beregond on the list. Maybe I just didn't see it?
I'd still like to see a box set of the watcher in the water at Moria....and more Riders of Rohan.

Hey Team Mithril,
Funky message board. Like a few of the other posters, I think an Imrahil (of Dol Amroth, unless work has scrambled my brains) miniature would be very funky. It might not be enough to support a whole range though - so how about something like a 'Southern Gondor' theme, and you could include Anfalas archers, Gondorian sailors, Town and country folk, stuff like that.

How about a box set with the Dwarves, Gandalf and Bilbo from the Hobbit? A large box set, but the figures would all be small, except Gandalf. The only way to have all the dwarves would be to get the set. It would go along well with the Trolls, William, et al. Just a thought...

I have almost ALL the M range, from M1 to the last series: I have some 5 Gandalf, 6 Frodo, 3 Saruman, etc.
PLEASE, do NOT cast the same models.
...Corsair are OK, Easterling or a Kraken are OK, vampires or the Sauron Throne are OK, Siege engines are OK, but NOT Southron, Orc, Dwarf, Gondorian sodiers, Rohirrim, Wraith, etc.
Why not some "Middle Heart Animal" series? We have hundred of Orc but neither a single wild boar.

Hello Fulvio, You are right. I have also the most of the M- Figurines ( aprox. 50 are still missing) and have many Gandalfs, Bilbos... But look at the new collectors. If you want to buy a Rohirim you can only find one figurine now (MC23 without Theoden). Buying the old ones... forget it. M26-M31 costs 20-25 Euros for each.

There are plenty of Rohirim available now, just check the rare miniatures link on the Mithril home page.

Ok for the new collector... But You have the Mithril Classic series: You may re-cast a Roirrim horseman (one of the many existing models) or other "standard" models in the MC series, and leave space to amazing new models in the M series. This is really good also for the old collector that can recover some missing piece.
Why not a boxed set with some generic PC figures for the old and new Middle Earth related RPG player? (...very much like the m1-m20 series)

Hello Fulvio, yes this would be great if Mithril recast some of the the older figurines (M1-99) but I´m shure that Mithril don´t make it.

Hello Shadyt,
that´s right, there are some Rohirim for sale from the "rare figurines". But 16,99 Euros for M264? I prefer Ebay.

Hello, Zoetrop.
... I think on a production of new box for RPG player, not a re-cast of the old ones.
Maybe a box with some generic race minis, like a Dwarf hero or a generic wizard: i know some people that play with the Gandalf mini because he does not have other choice. (...not everyone has Raichlin or older "nameless" wizard pieces)
The loss of the MERP rich world has impoverished the range of the possibles choices for a new type of minis, but...
PLEASE: STOP the mass Orc production! ;D
