Well, to strike while the iron is hot, so to speak, what additions could be made to the forum to encourage more activity in the part of the forum available to everyone? I don't want to make a lot of work for Michael, but a couple new sections or sub sections of the forum might be good. I see that we can attach pics to posts now, so we could have a gallery section for works in progress and finished pics that can be larger than the Fan Gallery allows currently. (Definitely keep the fan galleries though - it's nice to have each person's work all in one place.) German and French sections (or others) would be good, with moderators who understand the languages. That way there can be more international participation and Michael doesn't have to know a bunch of languages. ;D If necessary, the moderators can act as translators for those who don't speak English well with regards to questions or comments directed to Michael. A dedicated section (not just one post) for trading and auctions would be good too, just to keep everything tidy. Well, just a few thoughts from me. I shall try to participate more in the general section to liven up the place a bit. Please add your thoughts here too. Not just things to add, but ways to encourage more participation in the general forum.

I wrote a GIGAnormous mail to Michael with all that should be done, I'll wait for his answers there should be a Trade forum for ebay sales and member to member sales altogether. I don't want to melt down my own MMP forum in the official board necessarily but the more the information is spread even in two place at a time, the better it is there should be a gallery section, dedicated to posting pics (both for rarities, conversions, dioramas etc) there could also be a place of general discussion a bit like the pony... and a dedicated forum to focus on things to ask Mithril or in which Mithril would communicate with us mainly to answer us... this way this could help Michael to know WHERE to really focus his attention on a given forum rather than several... others could be self managed by moderators and with members who are not to wait mithril answers in those threads. the goal is to simplify Michael work... and at the same time, make this forum alive also this forum would look better with a less 'austere' color theme... carbon, grey and gold, it feels like a rainy day,it may need a textures background and some more joyous color... Psychology...

well now I think the changes are over, maybe it could be a great addition if there was a function that allows member to directly display ALL threads that have had new posts since one's last visit (this function exist on almost all forums and now that Mithril has diversified and forums are filling slowly but surely it could be great)
Maybe the "titles" for the localised general discussion should be written in their own language? "Disucussions Générales en Francais" for the french one for example? or simplier : "Mithril en France" (and for Italian, "Mithril in Italia") how would it be translated for german and spanish?

It isn´t that easy, Gildor: nobody in Germany would speak of "Generelle Diskussionen auf Deutsch", in this context. I would suggest: "Allgemeines Diskussionsforum auf Deutsch" (Common forum of discussions in german) or simply: "Mithril in Deutschland".

And I have to add a lot! Thanks to all who are volunteering as mods now! Thanks to all who wiped all that sticky air away that was damping the fellowship and all! Congratulations to the spanish and french mates for their own forum now! I wish, hope and think that a hitch will go through the fellowship and Mithril itself! It´s a big chance.

I think that there should also be a "photo gallery" of member faces to strenghten the community (a bit like MMP) or Member organised events for each international community (meetings in France, Germany, Spain...) once more and more members are revealed thanks to these localized boards... it will be later but it is a very good beginning... but with direct link being put in other languages boards to point to this thread
I think there could be a general "trombinoscope" (who's who gallery) to be hosted on the English forum maybe (the main community...)

Email me a list of translations for titles that everyone is happy with and I will add it to the titles for general discussions. The english version will stay to help other visitors understand what language they are. I can have a / between the two versions. Keep them short like 'Mithril in Deutschland'
Also if my description is wrong or could be improved let me know. I used Google translate to do it and I am sure you guys and girls can do better.

'Mithril en Français' is correct.
also replace "Parler de tout Lotr liés ici." by "Parlez de tout ce qui concerne Mithril et le seigneur des anneaux ici"

well the new background is quite sober, quite refreshing but now I think we can work on matching the forum colors to this background what do you think?

Instead of: "Hable acerca de 'El Señor de los Anillos' todo lo relacionado aquí" It will fit better: "Hable acerca de todo lo relacionado con "El señor de los Anillos" aqui" Sorry for not seeing it before, Michael. Does any part of this forum even discuss prep-work, brushes or painting technique? It might be nice if we could have some positive critiquing of work submitted by our members. Once a month members could send in a picture of their latest work, and others could ask questions and/or offer positive comments. It might just add some color and life to an otherwise gray slate. Maybe there’s already a place in this forum for what I’ve described. Perhaps I’ve overlooked it, but I’m sure one of you can advise.
