We are legally not allowed to reveal the figure just yet. We will soon. It is a lovely figure, and I am sure any collector will enjoy having it in their collection.

can you at least confirm us if it is the Collector or Special edition?
there is a major difference (mostly in price) between these two deluxe boxed games.

Hi Michael and Gildor, thanks for reply. Finally another miniature. Okay, but is it only sold in this collectors box or can we purchase just the miniature directly? I am actually more interested in the miniature . . .

here is the link for the official description of all the releases : www.lotro-europe.com/options.php?pagename=home#collectorsFrom what I see, the figurine will be in the "SPECIAL" Edition (which does not appear to be limited at all) but WILL NOT be in the "Collector" Edition which is limited in number, with some kind of lotery with gold rings to find, and infinite subscription. Don't make the mistake to order the "collector" version then, unless the info is bad (though I doubt it, since it is the official website) . the special edition should indeed be more expensive than the standard one but no way as expensive as the collector can be (more than 200$) Now all i need to know is if the special edition including the figurine will be released in France... Because if I need to order it in USA or UK i will have taxes to pay, which are as expensive as the game itself!! (trust me that's what happened when I bought Oblivion and BFME2 in the USA...)

It sounds like the figure is in both the special edition and the collectors edition. That's a lot of figures made.

I wonder where you see that the figurine will be in the collector edition wendy.. in my link it is explicitly said that it won't... and the topic is actually discussed in the game's fans who prefer a version with or without the figurine (ie: the special or collector one)

I f I got it correctly, it is said on the homepage of turbine that the collectors edition will include everything of the special edition. This suggests that in both boxes the figure will be included.

well mea culpa then, since I had not seen it in the first line Still, no need to buy the over-expensive collector edition to get the figurine, which is a good news... Now the question is : will there be only one figurine or a set of several, randomly inserted in all the boxes... (which would grandly complicate the collection of them all) Everquest had done the same at its launching in 1998... half a dozen figurines, randomly distributed in the collector boxes... it was almost impossible to get them all I hope it is not the same case here...

Ah okay. As I read Gildor's posting I was a little afraid that there will be more than one figure. Next question: Can we buy it at mithril or are we rely on the boxes??? And when will we know more about this powerful one?

I suggest we wait until the licence issues are solved and Michael will tell us everything I hope I think I will buy the box (special one, not collector one.. I am not that rich) providing this special edition is available everywhere, if not, I am sure Michael can lead us to a place where we could buy it for sure? let's wait and see

It will be one figure in the box. A powerful one. I think this qualifies as teasing. ;D So when will you be able to tell us? Or shall we try and guess?

Well, considering the first LOTRO release is the Shadow of Angmar, I wouldn't be terribly surprised if the Mithril release is, in fact, somehow tied to Angmar, and the surrounding lands...

As long as this powerful character is not a pure invention, like GWs "Gulavhar"....

It's rather beautiful too - and more Shadows of Angmar related figures? That makes me very happy Some new Angmar Orcs would be nice. heheh. And some RPG figures. Gavin
