And its hard to complain when the figures we do get are so amazing, but often I feel a slight limitation with the lack of choices for mounted figures. It's probably irrational. But, anyway. Here's my idea.
Allow the Fellowship to select mounted figures with the express understanding that the mounted Fellowship figure will use a pre-existing horse model.
eg: a galloping figure? The model uses the Glorfindel on Horse model or the Mounted nazgul horse.
A horse standing at rest? The MX Imrahil horse, or the extant Theodred horse.
In general I'd be fine with this, but am concerned that we'd end up with "generic" poses for mounted figures going forward.
Perhaps a better proposal would be to ask that once Chris gets to within a few months out on his backlog that we be allowed to suggest mounted figures again (perhaps once every three or four months) that he'd produce as originals, true to the suggestion of the winner by our vote.
I think that this might not be as far away as some fear.
From what I know, the fact we only suggest figurines on foot is due to the backlog... mounted and who knows even vignettes are not gone forever.. it's a matter of Chris being able to have emptied the backlog I don't loose faith since , as far as I am concerned I am still waiting to be able to suggest a vignette once again... be it in 6 months from now if need be...

Using old mounts will not work real well for mounted orcs as there are no mounts available. The last seperate wolves/ wargs were M25 & I think M49. They are too old to be reproduced. Since then they were molded all as one figure M314 & M315. The only exception being the Salute 2008 which has a distictive headgear and was limited to 4000 handed out at the show.
