I have two versions of MA1. One in a blue box from the Edman collection and the other in a red box "The Mithril Fellowship" special figure collection. Is this correct, because I have never noticed two versions listed for this item? Thanks Al

I have two versions of MA1. One in a blue box from the Edman collection and the other in a red box "The Mithril Fellowship" special figure collection. Is this correct, because I have never noticed two versions listed for this item? Thanks Al The Edman Collection has Galadriel on a nameplate base, while normal MA1 is on a normal Mithril base. I am not sure if the figure is the same, but I think they are different, either in clothes or pose. The ED-LO figure is a version of the normal 54mm scale 'LO' series. But it is painted or Antique Finished instead of just cast.

Hi awirta, I'll try to help: Yes, as far as I can see, those two are different. Not only because of the colours of the boxes. The well-known MA1 (Mithril) has got the typical grey coating of Mithril Miniatures. The red-boxed one I suppose has got the antique finish, as it was later used for the Christmas Figures from 1994 to 2004. This is a "Fellowship Special Figure Collection" from 1992 with Copyright to 'Tolkien Enterprises' (just have a look at the small leaflet inside the box). Both figures are exactly the same in shape, size and details. Having a look at the sub-references below the base you will find out, that there are numbers added on the left. I admit that I don't know which version of Mithril Galadriels the "Edman Collection" chose. But I am sure that there never was a Mithril version on a nameplate base. Anyway you might have a look at MMP-uniques page where you can find a picture of the 'red-boxed one'. Don't give her away! I could give you more information about Mithril-Galadriels, if you want. I think I've got all of them (seven, or eight?). Just let me know Huuooommmhom, let me see ... think ........yes HOM! I'll find out .... rhuommm .... just grant me some time to do so
