Chris decided to redo it. He was unsatisfied with the figure as it was previewed. I have no idea what the new version looks like.

'Glorfindel at the council of Elrond' clearly won the first round but the second idea 'Déorwine of Rohan' only lost out by 2 votes and there are plenty of undecided voters out there. I always recommend everyone vote as it can change what we make and only takes less than a minute of your time.
You have one vote, use it before April 2nd UTC+1.

Due to internet issues I was not able to start the vote on time. Sorry about that. We have a very short vote so please act immediately. Stonefoots were ommitted as its not canon. All the others were accepted. Some later ideas were too late for submission.

'The West Gate of Moria' is a clear favourite from the 1st round but there are plenty of undecided voters out there so the final winner is far from certain. We have seen the tide turn more than once before. So please vote before the end of the month and lets reveal the victor for February 2024.
Please also comment on your support, even if you did not support it the first time, as your comments may sway others to back your favoured idea.

We are sorely lacking ideas this month. I appreciate you have had less time than some other months but I will have to extend the suggestion timescale if we do not get seven ideas by the deadline.

Thanks to all the members who submitted their ideas. Chris reviewed them today (Friday) and agreed to allow all of them to be voted on. You have one vote per member. Please comment on your favourite idea to help encourage support for that idea.

Normally we have a winner, or at most a tie for 2 or three. I think this is the first time I saw four ties and no winner. Very strange. However all four are going to go forward for now to the final round. There can be NO tie in the final round so only one can win and you can see the current status before voting. If any tie does occur we will simply break it when Chris Tubb votes, as our rules dictate.
You have until the start of February to take part. Please remember you are free to comment on why you are supporting your favourite idea. Such input can sway undecided voters.
Let the best duo idea win.

I still have not gotten any response about the Sauron and Gollum post so I will give it until Monday. If not responded to by the poster I will go with Chris's idea and start the vote.

If there is another idea to reach the mark I would appreciate it. Gilgaladtolkien has not responded to the post or the message so I am not sure we can accept their idea.

Sauron (with the nine fingers) tortures Gollum. What I mean is this: Somewhere I read (I can't find the source at the moment) that Gollum told Frodo and Sam that he had been tortured by Sauron, who only had nine fingers left (one cut by Isildur). So Sauron must have had a different shape to the eye. Chris has some thoughts on your idea. If you agree with them we can move ahead with the vote tomorrow. If not, then we may need a fresh idea. "All are ok except for the Sauron Gollum vignette. By the time Sauron reaches Mordor his form is so large and ephemeral that I would not try to depict it. I would be willing to do a piece where Gollum is dragged into his presence by two of his terrifying underlings . You can include the piece if the proposer agrees with this compromise. It would still be an interesting vignette "

Hello everyone, Next year I will be taking a bucket list trip, landing in Dublin on May 13, thence on to Edinburg on May 21, then to Bayeux France on May 24, and the rounding out the trip in the highlands, staying at Inverness on May 29 and returning to Newark on June 1. On May 18 and 19 my plan, such as it is, is to drive from Dublin southwest and see that portion of Ireland before returning the following day. I know that the factory offers a tour/miniature painting class through travelocity/viator. Would it be easier for Mithril if I simply showed up and did the next available class? I ask simply because I have no other ironclad plans, so I don't really know for certain when I will be reaching Macroom. I was looking at using that weekend as a play it by ear exploration weekend. My apologies if this was not the appropriate place to put this. I am looking forward to all aspects of this trip, kind of getting to know my heritage better. Tim We do recommend prebooking a workshop but usually you can turn up and take part in one then. We are currently not open on Sundays and at this time I cannot state if that will change. I personally am only in the factory Mon to Fri so if you do wish to say hi to me personally then those dates are preferred. Otherwise you can just turn up. Driving from Dublin will takes about 3 and a half hours approximately. You should avoid the bypass beyond macroom or you will be stuck on it until you hit the outskirts of Killarney. We are on the old road so the bypass beyond Macroom misses us. Just turn back into Macroom and we are 15 minutes drive from there. There is a hotel and sevaral BnBs in Macroom you can stay in.

For almost 20 years we have run this forum with open registration however over the last six months in particular I have had a steady flow of spammers. This is becoming a plague. I have therefore restricted the ability to register new accounts, especially over the holidays. If you want to register a new account, email me at info@mithril.ie and I will allow your email in, when I am at work. Otherwise no. I appreciate that this may negatively affect people interested in the forum, but until there is another solution found, I am not going to tolerate constant spammers.

Happy New Year everyone. We had to alter one idea a bit but other than that all the ideas were approved. Please note that these are paired ideas of two figures. So they will be released as individual figures, unless Chris decides otherwise.
You have one vote so choose your favourite and the final top two ideas will go towards the final.
Remember you can post comments explaining why you support an idea, even if you were not the person who originally submitted it.

While "Great wolf-chieftain leaping to attack" won the first round, it only had a 2 vote lead so there is no guarantee it will win the final round. Please take a moment to comment too on why you support an idea as your input can sway undecided voters. The current status is always shown. This vote will run until the end of this month.

Thanks for your submissions, we have enough to go forward. One idea was dropped due to it being too complicated to make a miniature of. That is the Willow suggestion. Its been suggested before but Chris has yet to find a way to satisfactorily create it and make it possible.
Please leave a comment to support your favourite idea to help others support your idea.

While we are voting for the October, I will - this time in time, I hope - suggest that the coming double vote for December/January will NOT be two single votes but actually one vote for two single miniatures in interaction. This would allow for suggestions that otherwise would cluster the rare option for mounted minis, and it will not change the typical rate of one single per month. It would even make the vote easier, as it does not differ from the usual procedure. Suggestions could be two characters in debate, combat or dance, just to name some interactions. Sam proposing to Rose. Saruman and Gandalf on weathertop. Cirdan and Gandalf at his arrival. Or whatever. I am sure folks will come up with fresh ideas here. BTW: It is NOT possible to make this with two seperate votes as two characters from different sets could win, which makes the idea obsolete. I advise making a new thread to discuss this and we can see how it is fleshed out. I am open to the idea but I want to make sure we are not upsetting or confusing the other members. Its a fun idea and would be simple enough to do.

Thanks for participating. I was away on personal matters yesterday so I was unable to start the vote then. But we have a clear favourite and a solid contender. There is plenty of room to change the outcome depending on how uncommitted people decide to support. This poll will run until November 1st.

"Bob, ostler of the Prancing Poney"(Bob is the counterpart and friend of Nob who's serving in the taproom. He took care of the ponies of the hobbit company. At the moment, Bob has never been sculpted in the whole Mithril range. I imagine trying to lift a saddle in his hands, (which could be quite original, we never had any ostler before nor any saddle outside of a horseback in the whole range) While I appreciate the late submission. The list had already been submitted.

Thanks once again to all participants. All the ideas were accepted by Chris Tubb. The vote will last a week and you will see the current status of the poll after voting. One vote per member. The top two or three ideas will go forward to the final round on the 25th. Please include comments on why you favour one idea over another to help persuade other members.

"Farewell Barliman" is understandably the favourite for the first round and there is a fair gap but we will run a final voting round to be sure. Please remember that commenting on why you support an idea can sway undecided members. Don't assume other people know what you know.

Seven of the eight submitted ideas are approved. Unfortunately the Boar on spit idea was deemed not really related to our license by Chris. I appreciate that we seek new ideas, but they must be related to the books. If you wish to expound on why the idea should be accepted (another month) you need to flesh it out more with a connection to the actual tales.
This poll will show the current status only after you have voted. Please take time to consider which idea you want to support. The top two or three ideas will go forward to the final round.
Ties between ideas in the first round can lead to the idea being brought forward but remember only one idea can ultimately win and in the final round ties will always be broken by Chris Tubb.

Thanks to all members who have submitted and voted on new ideas this month. We always appreciate your participation. For some odd reason we have three runners up for 2nd place in the first round which kind of forces me to have four finalists. Remember that this round can only have one winner. So if a tie does occur we will break it.
This vote will run until September 1st. The poll will show the current status from the outset so you can strategically support the idea you think will be most successful.

The Balrog idea will not be feasible as Chris deems it too complex for this month. This is not a criticism of the size of the figure but all the parts needed to be made to make it work. But we have seven ideas so we can go ahead and start the vote later today.

Thanks to all Fellowship members who have taken part in this months list ideas. You now have the opportunity to vote on those ideas. You will not see the current status of the poll until after you have submitted your vote. This gives all ideas an equal chance to gain support. The final round will include the top two or three ideas. Ties will be broken in the final round by Chris, as we can only have one winning idea per month.
Please remember to include comments on why people should support your idea (even if you had not submitted the idea yourself) as there will be a lot of undecided voters that can be swayed by a clever argument.

We had a tie for first place so both ideas go forward to the final round. Honorable mention was the Gimli suggestion but it failed to get enough votes so it does not get to the next round. This is an open poll so you will see the current status of the poll at all times. This allows people to strategize around getting their favourite idea over the line to victory.

Thanks to everyone who submitted their ideas this month. We are running a little late but all the ideas submitted were approved. Please note that you will see the current status of the poll after submitting your vote. Adding comments on why you voted the way you did can help persuade others into agreeing with your choice. The 2nd round will take the top two or possibly three ideas (if a tie exists) so we work to get a winner for this month.
