Yes, Twrich... I think the same. When I make the proposal of Aragorn mini, I think too that Gandalf could be there, but I will be fit better on a bigger scene with Gandalf at some distance of Aragorn and the sapling, as I show here: img-fan.theonering.net/rolozo/images/sweet/sapling.jpgI dont think that Aragorn finding the sapling it's less important than have the Crowning of Elessar. After all, we already have a miniature of Elessar crowed with Arwen (ms298), and Aragorn finding the sapling covers another important moment of Aragorn's life - I think that this is one of the 3 relevant events of Aragorn's life still not represented on Mithril range (the other 2, IMHO, are "Aragorn healing Eowyn" (that reveals him as a true king) and "Aragon as Thorongil" (it shows his years disguised but helping his people))

Thanks to all that are voting for Aragorn and giving their support. It's being a close fight for winning this month... 25 votes until the moment, not bad!!

It's time for Aragorn and the White Tree ... for me, It's a very emotive scene that acomplished Aragorn "fatum" (in the good sense of the word). And with the bonus to challenge Chris Tubb to make a small white tree, could be a delicate scene with his little leaves and branchs. We haven´t seen many trees in Mithril range - Obviously not counting with all our beloved Ents & Huorns-, if I'm not wrong , we only have the elf girls on a tree (well, and a the one with the squirrel but that's not really a Mithril Range miniature, as many of you know).

Aragorn finding the white tree sapling: "Then Aragorn turned, and there was a stony slope behind him running down from the skirts of the snow; and as he looked he was aware that alone there in the waste a growing thing stood. And he climbed to it, and saw that out of the very edge of the snow there sprang a sapling tree no more than three foot high. Already it had put forth young leaves long and shapely, dark above and silver beneath, and upon its slender crown it bore one small cluster of flowers whose white petals shone like the sunlit snow." img-fan.theonering.net/rolozo/images/sweet/sapling.jpg

My suggestion is:
Aragorn finding the sapling of the White Tree upon the slopes of Mindolluin
I imagine him half kneeling in front of the sapling with a face of surprise and veneration, getting knowlegde that finally his destiny is acomplished at last, and having a lot of care not to harm the last descendant of Nimloth.
All fatigue of the tasks along the years, all the sacrifices he had made, now, finally, have all sense.

I'm very worried about the theoretical pricing structure. The reason HD1 sold "poorly" (porridge instead of undercoat aside) is that they were considered to be too expensive. So how is charging three times as much going to help? I'm not sure enough people will be prepared to take the gamble and commit themselves when the time for official subscription arrives if €22.50 is likely to be the price they'd have to pay - my guess is that they'll sit back and wait to see if enough other people commit themselves first so that the prices come down. It's a rather "chicken and egg" situation! Totally agree with you, Maese Barliman. That's the real problem, who of us can afford to commit to buy this 10 minis at 22.55 each with the hope that more of 100 people do the same and get the price reduced? Without some promo, it will be almost impossible.

Hombre, pues mira...

Well, that's my suggestion:
Thorongil fighting Umbar Captain of the Haven
"Umbar's fleet was largely destroyed 29 years later, when Thorongil (Aragorn Elessar, as it later turned out), then in the service of the Steward of Gondor Ecthelion II, led a taskforce south and burned them, killing the Captain of the Haven in the process." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umbar)
Well, I have made this proposal because it's the only version of Aragorn that we have not seen on Mithril. We have seen him as child (fleeing with his mother), as Strider in various sets and as King Elessar.
I would like to see Aragorn / Thorongil with Gondor clothes and armor, but the ones of a normal soldier / officer, nor the luxurious and magnificent of Elessar. As he was involved in a great battle, it would be possible that he carries a small shield, and maybe a helm too.
About the Captain of the Haven of Umbar, well, I think of him equipped with a scimitar and a small shield, or maybe an two-hand scimitar( the spanish word is "alfanje", I don't have found the english equivalent - maybe "cutlass" or "swordfish") , with a scale or padded armor and a very elaborated helm.
As soon as I find a picture, I'll add it as possible reference.
Best Regards,
Imisel

Well, my vote this time goes for Fermale Dorwinrim merchant. I think that is time for some paecefull miniature, that give us fresh air and some rest after some fantastic and epic miniatures on epic poshes of the last months. Girion will be great, so as Arathorn or Mauhur, but this time my heart it's on the mood for a drink of good wine.
About the others, well, Bombur, we have a lot of dwarfs in the no-so-far-away An Unexpected party (the same for Bilbo and Arkenstone) , and about ring-wraith, well.. There are a lot of them in diferents fashions!
Best Regards.

here my five cents....
How Daines have told, I think that Karma must be keep to thank the work of some great members of this community.
About the people who smite someone to make your karma low, well, who cares? Anyone who uses the impunity of the anonimate doesn't mind, really.
So let's keep Kharma, please. It's more important to give thanks to good job than someone, on puntual moments, can smite you.

Sam is a ice little miniatures idea, but how should he look like? cooking, or just wearing lots of cooking supplies on his backpack? He would be cooking, with a brace of coneys and herbs close at hand. (At least that's how I see it...) Just a small campfire and pot doesn't take up much space. I agree with that.. a small campfire will do a great small vignette with this mini

the interview of Chris Tubb has a structure of ... interview, that would require a conversion into article in a different style. Not to mention there are many aspects in this interview that are linked to Chris Tubb himself, not necessarily Mithril... Besides there are other interviews by Chris Tubb, there are several sources... The question is: should an article about Prince August be made prior to the Mithril one, thus there would be no need to mention all the PA history but directly focus on the mithril brand... I can trace back PA history back to Jan Edman, when they were making little toy trains, before moving to Ireland but is it necessary? Well, about an article about PA history, I've confronted thinks about this. First, I think that this will give a some extra job (and maybe not very necessary for expand Mithril on the world), but on the other side, maybe some fans of PA classic miniatures can finish discovering Mithril if they search Prince August in Wikipedia. MAYBE. So it depends... If Jan Edman can give you the history well organized, it will be ok.. But if not, well... Better we must focus only in Mithril first. We could add later PA articles if we see that Mithril Wikipedia have some success. Regards, Imisel.
