My vote was clear and fixed when I read Gildor's great suggestion. Thank you for that, dear Elf ... rhûOomm ...

Er,that's very interesting to read Axel, as I took the same decision awhile ago. And all reasons for your decision that you mentioned I also can support. - Thank you very much for this. I also cancelled my autoshipment a while ago exactly for these same reasons.

alas, now it might be the time to inform you here that I do not take part in the votings any more for quite a while by now (because of several reasons) - - - so I cannot be blamed to have intrigued against any suggestion here ... well, Axel, that's what I did: I stopped to complete my more than complete collection - there's no space in any of my glass cabinets any more and not room enough in one of the two rooms where I keep good-old Mithril-miniatures

Sorry, Halbarad II. - That book "somewhere visible among Ori's gear"? - I think you might better re-read a certain passage in Tolkien's trilogy. - Then you might also have a look at the old M-Mithril "The Chamber of Mazarbul" series, in which the M285 depicts Balin's tomb with the book on it, according to Tolkien. - Sorry, and no harm intended.

in this year this next Friday is on March 1st, Holger - but that always is the last Friday in February in Ireland, isn' it. So just calm down a bit after that camel race ...

Maybe it's because of summer (holidays), or this concept has by now arrived in a dead end street.

Right. And the same is with Beorn's animals. I don't need a second set.

Sorry, ddaines, I'm aware that I'm not Michael (to whom your entry was addressed) but in spite of that I would like to add my comment.
I also think that this idea of "loyalty figures" once has been a good idea though I never made use of it. To me it always seemed that this was once offered to clear the shelves of figures that did not sell. I never thought of buying a second figure from those that are offered there, as from my point of view they're not the best figures Mithril produced. The choice of the available "Loyalty figures" has never been changed or altered, I think.

Let's be patient and wait. There's still one more week and so far there are "just" 44 voters. Some further shifting of votes might also happen.

Well, in that case it would be a draw for that month and Mr Tubb will have to decide. The winner of the other month will not be affected. That's how I always understood the existing rules.

Reading Orc's December suggestion I think there already is a "black man from Far Harad" (MS602).

Mounted Commander from Far-Harad
The noble commander of the troops from Far-Harad before Minas Tirith is mounted on a horse or camel. He doesn't have a shield, just a scimitar (or a falcata) sheathed. His rich garment reveils a hint of an ornamented breastplate. He wears a conical helmet (as from Parthia or Assur) and the lower part of his face is hidden by a veil. Also his mount is richly decorated and shows no sign of movement, just as its rider. Both just express a silent threat to their foes.

Does anybody around here seriously believe that Mithril might consider or even release another M-series? I think the M-series are part of "Mithril history" by now. The grey primer might also be soon forgotten, I'm afraid.

I think exactly that figure of Strider does exist ( in a set together with Sam and Frodo M113)

I just wonder, why we still are voting, as there are so many suggestions that were never released so far. Elfhelm won in 2015. Did anyone see him? A backlog of 12 months does not seem much.

In case Thorin is playing his harp sitting on a chair it could be a great alternative for the Thorin-figure of the MX-UP where he is sitting next to Gandalf and discussing plans for the "Unexpected Party".

That so-called "tactic" of resuggesting suggestions over and over again seems to have unfortunately become a widespread practice here by now.

Indeed. So right you are, Master Mornedhel, as far as I can judge. Maybe Master Barliman, who among us must have best knowledge and research about these matters, might be willing to comment on this. I wish he has the time to do that.

I agree, Axel, about the very need of more "mounted Months". With that we're not alone. But concerning camel riders you seem to have forgotten to mention the MS468 which also is a magnificent figure I think.

so I'll have a second try for a
mounted wainrider captain
Let me explain, please. Those that were called "wainriders" by Tolkien were not described by him in detail, as we know. - They took wagons and chariots to war. I think that apart from those wagons and chariots there also must have been mounted officers among them to organize a charge perfectly. - I imagine such an officer, or captain, charging on a horse at full gallop. So far in all the Mithril ranges there sadly is no figure of a "wainrider" at all.
Why not give him a slight chance now?

That's exactly what I think about those "Watchers" as they are described by Tolkien, Barliman. - Not just some "architectural pieces" at all.

Er, sorry Michael, you really did forget about the exact date of St. Patrick's Day? - Unbelievable, unforgivable indeed. Though I hope you and all the Mithril staff enjoy this day on that island over there. Anyway best excuse ever. An Irishman forgot the date of St Patrick's Day ... never heard that before.

Right you are, Barliman, very right indeed. The leaflet of the MS503 release, called "Brand of Dale". Just have a look at it. Sorry, dear Axel ... no harm intended, of course, but that figure, it does exist in the Mithril- range.

I did understand that well enough, barliman. As I also know a well known picture of trumpeting Ents by a certain artisan in detail. By the way, I also did read those Tolkien books more than just one time nor ever tried to rely upon some interesting PJ-imaginations. About that non-solo-Treebeard we seem to agree, but that always has been obvious. So what?
