Welcome to another exciting chance to add your ideas and dreams to Mithril's LOTR miniatures. Post your suggestions here. ONE per member.
This month's ideas is for single figures only, so no mounted or Vignettes (more than 2 people or a lot of furniture + two people) please. A mounted figure counts as two figures (horse/camel/warg/etc)
The only other restriction is that the figures MUST conform to our license, so NO Silmarillion based characters are allowed. They have to be in the Hobbit or LOTR books. The final say is ours and no arguement will be allowed. Ask if you are worried about its eligiability.
Please submit ideas in the following format ONLY:
IDEA TITLE
"this is why I think 'Idea Title' is a good idea for this month..."
Make the title stand out (within reason) and separate from any supportive text by a paragragh. This will prevent Chris accidently overlooking it when he compiles the voting list later on. Otherwise it could be mistaken as a comment not a new suggestion.
Please add some quotes about where it is mentioned or give descriptions to promote your suggestion. Even add a picture or submit it to me to add to the gallery page. If you drum up support NOW, the you have a much better chance when it is time to vote.
Voting will begin on the 16th of March (first round). We stop taking suggestions at 16.00 GMT on the 15th.
You may add comments about other members suggestions as well. If you post any suggestions elsewhere it may not be seen or credited. Please post any suggestions in English. (That is all I can respond in, sorry). If you have any questions then post in the other thread provided for such questions.

Again I suggest we have a new hobbit in our MS series. Bilbo in mithril coat with ArkenstoneI imagine Bilbo with mithril coat presenting the Arkenstone to Thranduil and Bard. He also wears Sting on his belt. The one ring is in Bilbo's pocket but visible in relief If I remember well, this event is the only one where Bilbo can be represented wearing the mithril coat (during battle of five armies, he was quickly knocked out by a stone and still wearing the one ring, so invisible). I wonder if the Arkenstone could be not metalic, but in resin for instance...or even mineral !

well some originality maybe...
"Prince Faramir of Ithilien"
(after the war of the ring, Aragorn granted Faramir the title of Prince of Ithilien in addition to the charge of steward. This way, Gondor has a king and two princes (Dol Amroth and Ithilien)

We go to the Fourth Age: Gimli, Lord of the Glittering CavesWhen Gimli Elf-friend was held up in the caves, he was amazed by their beauty. After the War of the Ring he brought from Erebor part of Durin's folk and founded a colony in the caves, becoming the first Lord of the Glittering Caves. The Dwarves of the Glittering Caves carefully tended the stone walls and opened new ways and chambers and hung lamps that filled the caverns with light. The Glittering Caves became one of the most important realms of the Dwarves at the beginning of the Fourth Age. Gimli should has rich robes in a regal pose as corresponding to the first lord of the Glittering Caves.

Erkenbrand of Westfold I think this character has been suggested just the once before, but as I have just finished reading the Helm’s Deep chapter I was inspired by the idea of Erkenbrand leaping down the hill-side with Gandalf and the men of Westfold. I picture him as a leaping figure (launching himself from a rock maybe) wielding his sword and prominent red shield, hair wild and blowing, with a facial expression of exhilaration and savagery at the coming rout of Saruman’s forces (a bit like a Highlander leaping down the side of a glen to attack the lines of red-coats maybe). This would be an ‘action’ figure and would hopefully fill a vacant space in the GF ranks. I will aim to submit a sketch to support the idea.

I suggest the all-popular character of Tom Bombadil again:
TOM BOMBADIL with the ONE RING From Lord of the Rings Book 1 "In the House of Tom Bombadil":
Tom Bombadil took the 4 Hobbits to his house after the rescue from old man willow While the talking by the fireside there was this breathtaking key scene when Tom Bombadíl asked Frodo to show him the One Ring, got it from the Hobbit and held it before his bright eye, then put it on his finger and DID NOT become invisible... Then he flung the Ring into the air, and the Ring vanished in a flash...
He is.
As Frodo got the Ring back, he was suspicious and put on the One Ring to try, and the Hobbit became invisible... wasn't seen by his Hobbit fellows but he was seen by Tom Bombadil even so!...
I imagine Tom as single miniature standing with the Precious between his fingers holding it in front of his bright blue eye (paint job) or even on his little Finger, He should not be to slender, the fellowship miniature MS297 of Tom with the badgers is superb.
Cheers, Hwolf
And by the way: Congrats to the five fellowship members with the painted white council - they all look very impressive and beautiful! Really well done!

Mauhur Orc Commander of Isengard Named three times in The Two Towers (p.72,75,76) He led his band of fighters in an attempt to come to the rescue of Uglak and his band while they were surrounded. Instead he helped cause a distraction that allowed Merry and Pippin to escape. This sugestion has been made by me and by others before.

My suggestion for this month is...
RANGER OF THE NORTH in a travelling pose
Imagine a Dunedain ranger, dressed in a heavy cloak against the north wind, moving through the snowy Ettinmoors or Trollshaws. Thematically he is similar to the Northman Adventurer and Two Dwarven Travellers figures in the early 300 series.
The ranger has a mail shirt beneath his cloak; he is ready for trouble. We can glimpse a longsword at his belt, and a bow-stave on his back.
He's handsome, young and with a rough beard starting to grow. He looks out into the storm, alert for danger.
