Certainly this month is a rare chance to get your favourite double figure produced. We had 37 votes in the first round. Lets get that number up this round. Every vote does count, as we have seen time and time again where one or two votes can push an idea past its competitor.
This month is a bit disrupted with bank holidays so the vote will end on the 27th of April.
there is still plenty of opportunities to champion your idea when you vote, as members can see the current status of the vote prior to adding theirs.

No, it's time for a butt-kicking tree, I think - Master Theobald's fine suggestion (doubtless based on personal experience).

This is not very fair Barliman, regarding all coins I spent to your place in past monthes ! But I recon the ent spent much more time and his arms are far more impressive than mine ! Still, do not forget you need my skills for babies... ;D ;D

This is a month that doesn´t matter if you lose, all three are excellent choices but I miss the scenes "manners" of everyday life as the old M388 or any of the Prancing Pony serie. My vote goes for the wine Dorwinion (I hope not angry to Master Barliman if I prefer the wine to Bree´s scrumpy) ;D

Sorry fellows, I simply prefer Master Theobald's suggestion, valid and worthwhile though all three contestants may be. May the best Ent win...
Er, and where is this "Dorwinrim" place anyway? - Looks as though young Michael may have been partaking of the lady's wares, and his fingers are consequently not behaving as soberly as they should.

Ent vs. Half-orc Commander. Great possibilities here. At the very foot of Orthanc they confront each other, or the two figures might also be used separately, depending on whether the orc is cast in the very clutches of his opponent.
Grima killing Saruman is another interesting idea. I’ve envisioned it as a horrific back stabbing. The astonished Saruman peers over his shoulder at his crazed assailant. Grima’s blade is already lost in the spine of the defeated wizard. Maybe some half-orc onlookers are standing nearby pondering their next course of action.
Don’t know much about the third choice, but I’m sure a Dorwinrim wine merchant and male official would make ideal figures in a tranquil town setting of sort. In fact, casual figures like these could be used in just about any sort of diorama, save for a battle scene.

Somehow I do hope that Chris will sculpt both together, eg. with the Ent holding the Ork at his leg while he is still hacking with his scimitar. Two seperate minis will imho waste some of the opportunity of this choice.
That said (and voted for), I would be very happy with the other suggestions, too. Saruman and Grima are a long time favourite of mine, too. Matching background characters are worth it, too.

Yes, the Dorwinions are a tranquil pair, not showing such "action" as the other two. But I suggested them as I fear there is little chance to have an M series of these, and to my knowledge they are the only group of people mentioned by Tolkien in the books that have NO representation in the Mithril line--perhaps I am mistaken?
I'm actually surprised that they made it into the second round of voting. Wouldn't it be nice to make something new?
But I will be happy for either of the other two great ideas as well.

But just 28 votes all in all so far is not what could be called support for any of the three suggestions, right?

Yes, I think that's probably it - a lot of people are likely to be otherwise occupied, what with Easter and school hols and all. Or perhaps it's simply what several members have already said - all three suggestions are sufficiently good that they're not really bothered which one wins, and are therefore happy to leave the decision to Fate!

Perhaps this is not the place for this, but I've noticed that there is someone out there in the fellowship who doesn't particulary care for me. I've watch my Karma get knocked down from the mid twenties to 18 now, over the past couple of weeks. Whoever it is can knock me down to negative 10 and I wouldn't really care, I don't particularly care about karma ratings and such, but still, this is childish.
What I'm concerned about is the future of Mithril and the Fellowship. We're trying to attract new members, and the last thing this Fellowship needs if we are to survive is someone (or a small group of people) using karma to try to "punish" others who they don't like or don't agree with. This has happened to other members in the past, as well. Perhaps we should get rid of "karma" altogether, or require people to reveal themselves when they add or subtract it from another member?
Perhaps someone is still mad at me for passing Chris's message along last year asking members to cease certain activities. Perhaps it is someone else. Whoever you are, if you have a complaint about me, have the courage to mail me directly. Otherwise you are no more than a coward who hides in the dark.

Agree 101%. The anonymous nature of the "karma" system renders it all too easy for people to vent their spleen without any risk of reprisal or need for explanation. In the meantime, Master Twrich, have some karma back!

Though I never knew what this "Karma-stuff" should be good for I totally agree with what you said, Master Twrich. - I usually don't have a look at those small numbers because I do not care about them. Having mentioned this, Twrich, I remember that members here also were annoyed because of some misuse. As for this matter I would like to ask Michael to install a poll in this thread about if this "Karma-thing" should be abolished for good. All I sometimes do is to have a look at the number of my posts here; this is 600

Just ignore Karma, or abolish it. While I enjoy getting it, ultimately it is pointless and if its use to "punish" others it does more bad then good.
I admit that Dorwinians could - no, should have their representation in Mithrils version of Middle Earth, but they can also come as single miniatures. A Dorwinian wine trader is overdue, and could be used in vignettes both for Laketown and negotiations with the Woodelves. And ladies in local garb are imho a strenght of Chris anyway, so a Dorwinian girl also gets my support. Or lets combine this into a female dorwinian wine trader, and hope that we do have a finalist for the next month :-)

You can have one back, David *lol* By the by, do you know if a Karma can be eaten, as it sounds as if it's the name of a very hot Asian meal. - I like spicy meals, by the way. ;D

Thank you for your kind support friends, 5 karma points restored in a day is a nice gesture.
But I do agree with Theo that a poll should be taken by Michael to see if we want to 1) keep karma/smite as it is, 2) keep them but identify those who give/take it; or 3) eliminate it altogether.
It looks like the Ent fighting the Half-Orc has won. I can't wait to see how Chris scupts this excellent idea.

Agree 101%. The anonymous nature of the "karma" system renders it all too easy for people to vent their spleen without any risk of reprisal or need for explanation. In the meantime, Master Twrich, have some karma back! Our security log shows who exalts or smites anyone. I also can adjust Karma at will if I desire. I can remove Karma totally if needed, but I thought it was a nice addition for members to see positive imput being rewarded by others. the only time negative Karma is really justified is if someone acts dishonorably (insulting or undermining the club or another member). Otherwise a rule of kindness and respect is expected to be followed. I added a vote in the General Discussions (English) thread, as Karma is not exclusively GSF.
