A definite winner in this month's 1st round was Female Dorwinrim wine-merchant, however there was about 50% of the votes given in the 1st round to divide up between the finalists so anything could happen. This is an open vote so you can be strategic about who you support, but don't leave it too late, or you might miss out.

Feel the fear, feel the heat as Smaug blasts Dale with fire. I don't know if Girion would look best fully armoured and expecting the dragon's onslaught or, as shown in the sketch, roused from slumber trying to marshall the men-at-arms of Dale. Here he has thrown on some clothes, grabbed his sword (or spear) and shield which he now holds up to ward off the mighty Smaug as he swoops down. That is my thoughts, however as ever other ideas may arise

Everyone must know my preference for genuine, named Tolkien characters by now, so for me it was a toss-up between Mauhur and Girion. So that's what I did - I tossed a coin. Then I decided on best of three. Then best of five, and so on, but Girion constantly refused to win, so in the end I had no choice but to concede that fate was trying to tell me something and I voted for Mauhur. Sorry, Dave!

Thank you aelfwine for the excellent illustrations. I think it would be great to finally have a representative of the Dorwinions by Chris and Mithril.
I envision the Female Wine Merchant attired in a long dress with a shawl and perhaps head scarf; holding a bottle of wine as if showing the color to a prospective buyer. But really, if it should win I would be happy with Chris to sculpt it any way he thought best.
For that matter, I would be happy with any of these suggestions. We are certain to have an excellent figure this month no matter which idea wins the vote.

Girion for me the choice was easy.... I like genuine characters and named ones, when it comes to paying big bucks for a "special" figurine... (debates are elsewhere ) ... and I think everybody around knows how MUCH I do love orcs so the choice did not need me to toss a coin Even if I doubt it now has any chance to win over the lady, I simply cannot defend the idea of a commonfolk for MS even if the idea is great, if I am to defend and promote strongly, at the same time, the need and necessity to have regular releases .... (of common or military figures) it's a matter of being true to one's own ideal my own

I think mostly the same way you do Gildor. It took many months for Theodred to win a second round vote. But we already have some Helms Deep and Easterling "M" releases that we might never see (except maybe as limited releases like the Half-orcs and Dwarfs some day). So if these won't be made full "M" series figures, what chance can there be for the Dorwinions? This suggestion might be the only Dorwinion figure ever released by Mithril (there are none so far)--that would make it "MS" or "Mithril Special." I like named figures too, and think Girion (very Nice suggestion ) or Mauhur (who I also suggested often) would be great if they win, and will buy either of them. But the Dorwinions are "Named" just not as a specific person, but rather a Race of People.

Girion for me too. This choice was easy for me too. Below this page there is a picture of that Laketown Lady. How much will the "wine-maid" differ . . . ? Much enough to spend the coiny things . . . ?

Dorwinion is a region, not a race but you speak as if you had lost all hope master Tom... the motivation to have regulars released can only come from us if not from mithril, but this is another debate... In the end I fear it is all a matter of money and only money... I'm certain that if people would certify they are ready to pay regulars the price of MS, we would see regulars more often.... but even if all of us GF members would agree to this, that would not represent enough "people" I remember Lars Edman asking me... "how much do you think collectors would be ready to pay for more regular releases? what do you think is their annual budget?" (not meaning "m" range, but simply more releases in general) someday, things will get better for everybody I keep hope going off topic alas... but still, I'm certain the dorwinion lady will be great!

True Gildor, I guess that is why Michael calls her a Dorwinrim I will not give up hope for more regular series, but we know that there are a few series already "on the block," so to speak. Hopefully when Michael revises the official Mithril website it will attract new members and we will have more sales and M releases to follow. In the meantime, we have three very good choices for this month and I hope we see all of them before long.

This is why I love Mithril miniatures there are not only fighting figures or characters!
