It seems there has really been little effort to partner with the logical sites/groups that could help promote Mithril. As far as I can tell, the marketing effort is basically "we're going to revise our website and rely on customers." This is all good, but I wonder how Mithril will ever rebuild its customer base if it doesn't agressively advertise across several different mediums . . . . that also means contacting every company that has a LOTR license for any product . . . from action figures to board games to the new RPG system. And I believe it also means reaching out via the internet to the major retail gaming stores that still operate in major metropolitan areas. There are bound to be opportunities to market Mithril as a result from estalishing such business contacts. The only cost to Mithril/PA is time, as I am not sugessting buying ad space in a magazine. If you have proposals for us to partner with a game release, email me with details and tell me more about it. The expense of banners is incredibly high, and generally worthless. I tried this before and the results were pathetic We partnered with the online game and they outright exploted us (remember the 40,000 figures we made). Out of that I got 2 replies. Its not that we do not try to partner with others, its that its rarely worth it. If you have a game or website you think might be valid to contact please forward via EMAIL (not PM) your reasonings for this and I will happily look into it. Issues with copyright and possible conflict between MME and another provider is another problem. But I am open to ideas.

The voting is to decide what range is preferred. If no-one supports an idea, why would Mithril make it? Chris is not fond of making sketches. I asked for years about such things and the results are not promising. He sculpts rather than sketches. Hi Michael, Thanks for answering. I see the problem, however I think things are not working smoothly for Mithril, so maybe it would be good to change some things. I remember some nice illustrations in the old Fellowship newsletters. Weren't they Chris'? We partnered with the online game and they outright exploted us (remember the 40,000 figures we made). Out of that I got 2 replies. Its not that we do not try to partner with others, its that its rarely worth it. I think the videogames players community is not the best target regarding miniatures. However the good old pen-and-paper RPG players are most likely to be into miniatures already. That's why I think the new RPG game could be a good choice to partner with.

OK, I am announcing a delay in the vote. (a) Chris was too busy today to give me the list and (b) Tomorrow is my birthday so I am taking it off. So the list and vote will start Monday. So if you still have ideas please feel free to add them in the interm.
