Welcome to another exciting chance to add your ideas and dreams to Mithril's LOTR miniatures. Post your suggestions here. ONE per member.
This month's ideas is for single figures only, so no mounted or Vignettes (more than 2 people or a lot of furniture + two people) please. A mounted figure counts as two figures (horse/camel/warg/etc)
The only other restriction is that the figures MUST conform to our license, so NO Silmarillion based characters are allowed. They have to be in the Hobbit or LOTR books. The final say is ours and no arguement will be allowed. Ask if you are worried about its eligiability.
Please submit ideas in the following format ONLY:
IDEA TITLE
"this is why I think 'Idea Title' is a good idea for this month..."
Make the title stand out (within reason) and separate from any supportive text by a paragragh. This will prevent Chris accidently overlooking it when he compiles the voting list later on. Otherwise it could be mistaken as a comment not a new suggestion.
Please add some quotes about where it is mentioned or give descriptions to promote your suggestion. Even add a picture or submit it to me to add to the gallery page. If you drum up support NOW, the you have a much better chance when it is time to vote.
Voting will begin on the 14th of February (first round). We stop taking suggestions at 16.00 GMT on the 13th.
You may add comments about other members suggestions as well. If you post any suggestions elsewhere it may not be seen or credited. Please post any suggestions in English. (That is all I can respond in, sorry).

I suggest again Bilbo with arkenstone, for sure most related to "the Hobbit": Bilbo with ArkenstoneBilbo, wearing his mithril coat, bows presenting the Arkenstone to Thranduil and Bard. He also wears Sting on his belt. The one ring is in Bilbo's pocket, visible in relief. If I remember well, this event is the only one where Bilbo can be represented wearing the mithril coat (during battle of five armies, he was quickly knocked out by a stone and still wearing the one ring, so invisible). I wonder if the Arkenstone could be not metalic, but transparent in resin for instance...or even mineral !

OK - let's see what Hobbits will have as support... I'd like to suggest Odo Proudfoot of the ShireI imagine a nice little Hobbit figure that isn't in the range of Mithril miniatures so far, Standing on his very big furry feet with a broad satisfied smile, smoking a pipe and with a big beer mug in the other hand Odo Proudfoot - One of Bilbo’s many cousins "...his feet were large, exceptionally furry, and both were on the table." Description of Odo Proudfoot at Bilbo's Birthday Party from The Fellowship of the Ring I 1, A Long-Expected Party The son of Bilbo Baggin's aunt, Linda, who married Odo's father Bodo and gave rise to a line of Proudfoots (or, as Odo himself preferred, 'Proudfeet'). Odo was among the guests at the famous Birthday Party at which Bilbo Baggins disappeared. At that time, he was an elderly hobbit indeed, being ninety-seven years old. He only lived for a few more years after the Party, but from him had come at least two generations of descendants, including his mischievous grandson Sancho, who attempted to excavate for treasure in Bag End. Hobbits of the Shire. The name may be a reference to family pride in having exceptionally large and furry feet. Tolkien gives two possible plural forms: Proudfoots and Proudfeet.

Hi, I have never made a suggestion before, but mine is DENETHOR BURNING
Although it may seem at first one would need furniture and more, actually no, since Denethor, driven mad by his use of a palantir, jumps alone into the pire he has caused to be built, falls and dies- Faramir is rescued already and Gandalf and Pippin (Already available,) look on.
"So!" cried Denethor. "Thou hadst already stolen half my son's love. Now thou stealest the hearts of my knights also, so that they rob me wholly of my son at the last. But in this at least thou shalt not defy my will: to rule my own end." The Return of the King: "The Pyre of Denethor," p. 130 Denethor leaped onto the pyre, broke the rod of his Stewardship, and set himself ablaze, clutching the palantir. It was said that his burning hands could be seen in the palantir forever afterwards.
A bit grim, but a scene easily made if I just had Denethor, perhaps with his back arched as he cries out, clutching the palantir to his breast!

Brilliant Suggestion rohangrl! It is nice to see new people make suggestions, even if they have been members for a while.

My suggestion, which I hope is worthy of the ballot this time is...
Bard in the armor of Dale
Following the Death of Smaug, at the head of the Army of men who besieged the Lonely Mountain. Bard's armor would have an antique feel, yet still be in perfect shape and fit, possibly plate with grieves. It is most likely an heirloom of the house of Girion. I see him in more of a command pose, though I don't see why he couldn't be in action like he would have appeared at the Battle of the Five Armies.
Thank you for your consideration; Valohir

Battle-weary Gandalf
History: They fought for two days and nights. In the end, the Balrog was defeated and cast down, breaking the mountainside where it fell "in ruin". Gandalf himself died following this ordeal, but he was later sent back to Middle-earth with even greater powers, as Gandalf the White.
Description: After defeating his enemy, Gandalf stands exhausted. His body is badly beaten. His staff is gone. A once great robe, now charred and tattered, clings loosely to his shoulders. In fact, his attire conceals far less than it should and offers little or no comfort to the wizard. Gandalf is only vaguely aware of his surroundings and of movement in the shadows. This is Gandalf the Gray moments before his fall.
I suggest this figure as an MS release. It might serve as described above or as Gandalf following his initial altercation with Saruman.

In addition to this, he should - IMHO - have Glamdring in his hand, lowered and barely able to hold it after this epic battle. The sword's point may be on the ground, but not looking like it's acting as a crutch, but on the verge of falling out of his weakened hand. Best Tolwen

Vorondil I'll resurect this suggestion, Vorondil holding aloft the great horn taken from the Wild Kine of Araw. Sword in one hand (or a smal axe maybe), the hand holding the horn would be raised above his head. As per my original suggestion (if not too gruesome) the base would be the head of a large bovine beast on which one foot was placed.

We already have Bolg in the unenviable position ( and Beorn....) I like Grond's and rohangrl suggestions... hmmm... both are great... about Vorondil... maybe we can suggest for next 10 regular M figures "Line of Gondors Stewart's"....
