Thanks to all members who took the time to suggest these great ideas. This is a hidden vote so you will only see the current status after submitting your vote. You only have one vote so use it wisely. The second vote begins on the 18th and will include the most popular ideas only (usually the top 2 or 3). Please take a minute to comment on why you are supporting your idea, or why you think another idea is less suitable (politely). If you support an idea, even if it is not your own, you can still offer supportive text, quotes, pictures or photos to encourage undecided voters to choose yours.

.... My Preciousssss... gollum.... gollum!
"A log with eyes" Gollum on log on River Anduin
Gollum the sneak following the fellowship in the three elven boats down the Great River Anduin, as seen by Sam: clutching to a floating log, "a log with eyes"
It can be a miniature like Bilbo barrelrider MS441, a base with water structure - but longer, with a log half submerged in the water with some twig stumps, and near the end a hump on it with eyes and paddling feet... gollum!

Far Harad Tribesman
At least some men of Far Harad were allied with Sauron in the War of the Ring, and some of them fought in the Battle of the Pelennor Fields. The men of Far Harad were described in The Return of the King as "black men like half-trolls with white eyes and red tongues", as well as being called Troll-men.

I'm still wishing for a
Half-orc Hornblower of Saruman's Army
to complement the Half-orcs in the normal Mithril range. Almost all other races have their hornblowers or other musiciens, but not yet the half-orcs.

I will suggest on of the few named characters from LotR that is not yet made:
Ceorl Errand rider, survivor of the battle of the Isenford
He came, a weary man with dinted hlm and cloven shield. Slowly he climbed from his hors and stood there a while gasping. ... "You come at last, but too late. Things have gone evilly since Theodred fell. We were driven back over the Isen with great loss; We were overmastered. The shield-wall was broken. Tell Eomer there is no hope ahead."
Theodred had sat silent; now he urged his horse forward. "Come, stand before me, Ceorl! I am here, I will not return without battle."
The mans face lightened with joy and wonder. He draw himself up!
I imagine this battle-worn warrior in the moment when he recognized Theoden - still in a battered pose but with his head rising in sudden hope.
One could add a standing horse for him and so create a small vignette, perhaps together with Theoden (LT6). Chris could also go for his kneeling position, where he offers his sword to Theoden, but imho the standing position offers a better visualization of this battered survivor.

Master Thingol has overlooked the fact that we already have an Hirluin figure in the Fellowship range (MS555).
For this month's suggestion I opt for another Pelennor Fields commander –
Duinhir the Tall of Morthond
- who I've always pictured as mail-armed and helmeted and equipped with a mighty longbow.

.....And I've just recalled that Master Thingol hinself suggested the self-same Duinhir a couple of years ago - perhaps that's why the name suddenly came into my mind! Duinhir is certainly a notable omission from the range. Anyway, apologies for "stealing" your old idea, Master Thingol. It's not something I usually do.

I just can confirm what Master Barliman said about the MS555 figure as it was me who once suggested the "Hirluin, Lord of Pinnath Gelin" which then was sculpted by Master Tubb. A very nice figure on an interesting base which reminds of some of the old LR-bases.

It's been a long time since I have not found "the way to victory". Now I'll recycled an old suggestion.....

Vidugavia (TA 1210 - TA 1302) the mightiest prince of Rhovanion
last time when he was on suggestions list …… houm…. more than 2 years ago... and it always lost in second round for a single vote.... see what would be this fourth time !

It's not surprising that we forget what had been suggested (or even made!) beforehand when there are such long intervals between voting and production. Indeed, it was only yesterday that I remembered that I'm still waiting to see Elfhelm, who won his poll last spring, and there are other figures who won their polls even longer ago than that.
Every suggestion this month is an excellent one, so far!

I see now we are starting to suggest Characters / figures that are already released - isn't there a Troll-Man from Harad already available?
MS602 Lord of the Rings Black Troll-man™ of Harad™' Fellowship Figures.
Isn't that the same description?

Absolutely correct, Master Halbarad. However, in fairness to Master Orc the MS602 figure is very much a Troll, so I suspect that what's intended in this month's suggestion is a tribesman from the deep south of Harad - which, I'm sure, is exactly what Tolkien meant by his medieval-style description; in other words, a large, black-skinned, impressively muscular Man of sufficient strength to be likened to a Troll. It's just the dreaded MERP / ICE books (again...) that are responsible for the "Troll" interpretation taking precedence in modern Fantasy games.

Given the look of some of the latest sculpts from CT, any number of these figures could be open to some really nice interpretations. Mmnnn! Choices

It's curious that Hirluin has found his way into the list, despite the suggestion having been withdrawn, crossed out and replaced by Vidugavia! This means that, in fact, Master Thingol has inadvertently ended up with two suggestions this month - though I'm assuming people won't vote for Hirluin....

I also didn't mention the crossing out at first. Maybe it is not enough just to cross out the suggestion. when someone finds out that the suggestion is already released, Don't we have the possibility to delete the text and write the correct suggestion instead?
But I also think there will be no vote for Hirluin.

I think people have realised that Hirluin has already been released as a figure, and are therefore ignoring him, so it probably doesn't matter one way or the other. But since you can see the crossing out, and Theobald and I can clearly see it as well, I imagine that Master Michael can. Hirluin appearing in the list must therefore just be a mistake.

Well, I just can see that Thingol's first suggestion reads, "Hirluin the Fair or Hirluin of the Green Hills". Then I see that in the official list for the poll it suddenly reads "Hirluin of Pinath Gelin". Please don't get me wrong, I am not complaining at all, just watching. I am not trying to place so-called "mistakes" at others, no, I'm not. This is a hobby for me and nothing else, so why worry?
For those who don't know about Hirluin, let me please quote the official description on the Mithril-leaflet for the MS555 figure. It reads: "He brought a contingent of 300 men to Gondor's aid during the War of the Ring. His men are light troops and are equipped with hunting knives and bows. His Gondorian helmet is decorated with a plume of leaves."
As for me I wouldn't be annoyed to have another Hirluin being realized. Compared to all the Gandalfs and Witch-Kings ... why not?

This Hirluin story is interesting indeed.... one day it could be maded again Master ent... but this time I guess winner will be Duinhir.... what is good for me as this was my suggestion for a few times before.... maybe Master Barliman should next month suggest prince Vidugavia... he is lucky winner always when he suggest something what I was suggest before... (we devided also the suggestion of "Elfhelm the Marshal, ....on horseback" ;-))

In fairness, Master Thingol, I was the original suggester of Elfhelm the Matshal a long, long time ago, and repeatedly again and again over the years, until he finally won. But yes, it often happens that we all make suggestions that are subsequently picked up by someone else and then win - it's happened to me three or four times. Happily it doesn't really matter, in the end, so long as the figures we want do eventually win and get produced!
And Duinhir hasn't passed the finishing post yet.....
