Thanks to all members who have taken part in the Fellowship vote (and suggestions) this month. Your participation is key to the success of this club. I have chosen the most popular ideas and added them into an open vote. This means you can see the current status of the vote at any time. If you previously voted for an idea that did not make it into the 2nd round, please vote again for your next favourite idea. You are also encouraged to comment below on why you like or dislike an idea, as you may sway voters to agree with you.
Please remember that every vote counts so make sure you select your favourite before midnight on the 31st of May (GMT+1).

If Bombur wins I hope he will be genuinely obese, and not just mildly overweight!

Bombur really obese is about 60 years later than the battle of five Armies, responding to the novel, then it takes six young dwarves to lift him from his coach... maybe there is a trace of movie watching influence? fatty Bombur running fastest of all and jumping with barrel or without, turning around like a spinning top... just as he has no weight at all? for my part i keep to my eastward support... though of course all three suggestions are worthy to be realized. so let's keep on watching.

For the record, anyone avove his "body-mass index" weight counts as obese - and for an average man that means over about twelve and a half stone. In "The Hobbit" Bombur is alluded to as being the equivalent of two Dwarves. Ergo, the figure needs to look fat, not mildly overweight. No movie influence is needed!

Allright, that may be so. But what about MS538 Lord of the Rings 'Bombur™ (Dwarf from The Hobbit™)' Fellowship 32mm Scale Figure? he's already produced and available. Do you really think Bombur in wargear will be sculpted double as fat that as this nice fellow Bombur? and not to forget Bombur pictured eating in the unexpected party diorama. Also not the double girth as his companions, he has just a bit more belly please understand – I'm not trying to talk Bombur in wargear down, though the other two obviously have more support – I just want to mention that facts.

I didn't propose the Bombur figure, so I'm not unduly bothered one way or the other. I'm just pointing out that a Bombur figure would need to be fatter than MS538 or the Unexpected Party version if he was to accord with JRRT's intentions. And that's the reason why I'd support another Bombur. As things stand it's all a bit academic anyway, since he's obviously not going to win, so I've transferred my vote to one of the other contenders who happens not to be yet another Easterling.

Still a few days to go, Master Gildor, so there's time yet - though I note that the Easterling has now crept into the lead by one vote.

I want to find out about Bombur, but fear that the needed 15 votes will not materialize - unless any Bombur vote counts for six (owing to his weight...)

I hope Gildor at Lindon will be resuggested with that load of supporters! Likewise. By the way, does anyone know what Master Holger means by "Esbowd"?? Or is this an acronym for something, and I'm not hip or street enough to know what?
