Thanks to all members who have taken part in this months suggestions and voting so far. Please remember that you can comment about your selection and discuss their merits even if you did not originally suggest them or even vote for them in the 1st round. Your vote does matter. This is an open vote so you can always see what the current status is before voting. The most popular will win on March 3rd. The vote ends at midnight March 2nd. UPDATE: Due to a tie on the 3rd. I have asked Chris Tubb to break that tie.

I do hope Bilbo wins this month, though not my suggestion. I believe it would be a nice addition to the range.

I voted for Treebeard as he hasn't been given a stand-alone figure of just him yet. I believe he'll be a fine addition to all the other Ents in the collection. I also like the Bilbo idea and will vote for it in the future. I'm just not as interested in another "generic" soldier, be it from Arnor or Gondor.

All three are worthy suggestions Here is how an angry Treebeard could look like The "weapon" is inspired by the novel itself: Isengards evil machinery is destoyed by the Ents. There are indeed descriptions in the text, that there are pillars along the ways towards the tower, which are connected by chains. In my sketch Treebeard has torn out one of these pillars and is hurling it at the Tower of Orthanc.... Burarooom! But the picture is just a suggestion, of course though an addition of some parts of debris whould be great!

Well, once I won the suggestion of an "angry Ent fighting an half-orc commander" (MS571) and, of course, was thinking of Treebeard. And so did Chris Tubb, as far as I can remember. I still like that slight humour Chris put into that figure. Anyway, you're all right argueing that still we have no Treebeard as a release without any other figures being added. But, who the heck is that trumpeting MS467 ? Can't be Fimbrethil, right? Sorry, Halbarad II, but your idea provided in that sketch for me is too close to the pose of the M48 Troll and the top of that "pillar" in your sketch reminds me too much of those PJ-Movies. Alas, with this entry there's no harm intended, Harald.

My MS467 Trumpeting Ent was never intended to be Treebeard, by Chris or me - he's just A.N.Other Ent, since "The Two Towers" refers to several different Ents trumpeting to each other following the Battle of Helm's Deep. The argument therefore stands that there's no "solo" Treebeard figure in the Mithril range.
I rather like Master Halbarad's sketch....

I did understand that well enough, barliman. As I also know a well known picture of trumpeting Ents by a certain artisan in detail. By the way, I also did read those Tolkien books more than just one time nor ever tried to rely upon some interesting PJ-imaginations. About that non-solo-Treebeard we seem to agree, but that always has been obvious. So what?

My explanation was to clarify things for everyone else, Master Tree - I just wanted to make sure everyone was "on the same page", as we like to say here in Bree (which is actually a very odd thing for them to say, since very few Breelanders can read...).

Alas, with this entry there's no harm intended, Harald. That is very well realized, dear Theobald – Yes the Angmar troll was my "model" because I think that is a very strong and dynamic pose, but of course an Ent is not that "bendable" If you watch the movies, you will find out that the "pillars" at Isengard are no more than railings, connected with chains. (I never intended to bring in PJ-Movie stuff in here, for that is the design of the other company with the LotR army figures... ) The top of my "pillar" was influenced by the four spikes of the pinnacle of Orthanc tower itself, just an idea, nothing more. No bad feelings, don't worry I also really love that Ent fighting half-orc commander miniature, it's just awesome!

At least that postpones the problem of delivering a workable pike with a Mithril mini :-)
