Well it was a close run race for four of the contenders but it seems 'Dunedain warrior with hawk' won in the end. However with only a lead of ONE vote that victory is not guaranteed in the final round. I have selected the top three ideas for this round which means that there is still roughly 50% of the votes up for grabs. I also added a fourth option that I mistakenly left out of the first round. It might end up being a surprise winner. Don't forget to comment below about your favourite, even if you did not originally vote for it in the last round. This vote ends at the start of September 1st.

Not very happy with this decision, why give a free pass into the next round to a suggestion that was mistakenly not added but ignore other suggestions that were actually voted on?! This is completely illogical and very unfair to the other suggestions that were voted on.

I don't mind it's inclusion at all. I actually think it's a nice gesture from Michael.

The decision would only become debatable if the figure should by some chance happen to win, which I suspect is unlikely (with apologies to Mornedhel!).

Thanks Michael for the gesture. Even if no chance to win so far, I really appreciate it

It's (the wounded Gondorian) included so we must wait and see; I only hope that should it win, poor Master Mornhedhel doesn't have to put on too pained a face to look 'wounded' . That aside, I would love to see more 'stand-alone' casualty figures produced rather than those that form part of a base to something else .

amazing
seems indeed a good chance for a surprise winner – 16 votes more to expect... who knows?
I just wonder: Do all future overlooked suggestions come automatically into the final vote now?

I'm pleased to see the "forgotten warrior" doing so well, but he's not there yet.

This is completely illogical and very unfair to the other suggestions that were voted on. No it is not. The other ideas were not popular enough to make it in to the 2nd round. They were already removed. If the new idea that we forgot to add first time ends up super popular then it shows the will of the group. We are trying to be fair to everyone, but it is impossible to please everyone. It is contending with the MOST popular of the other ideas. If it wins it means it was MORE popular than all the rest.

It's imposible to predict how well the wounded Gondorian would have done in the first round, competing against a wider range of suggestions.
Personally I'm inclined to agree with messrs stephenjcorcoran and Halbarad II that what we've ended up with here is an uneven playing field. The wounded Gondorian might not have been "popular enough to make it into the 2nd round" either, but we'll never know now. Really, the fact that a suggestion was inadvertently overlooked in the first place means that the voting should have simply been delayed for a few days, and then restarted once all the "competitors" were present and correct. After all, with so many previous winners still not having been released it isn't as if there was any need to rush!

Maybe it's the mischievous part of me but I'm kind of hoping the poor solider wins now!

It would have been more hassle getting them to revote than to add it to the second round. The decision has been made so further discussion is not really serving any purpose. It is what it is.

I think that was not fair to put this suggestion into the second round... I think I'm the biggest looser here... in this unique oportunity... All votes, which were in previous voting focused on this idea, now are dispersed on this other idea, which probably wouldn't go to the second round. So I decide that I'll withdraw my vote tomorrow and give it my friend Ignacio, so let the Dwarf wins. Anyway, I think this is the best idea... and I will never again suggest this Dunedain warior with hawk... I'm sorry. Next month we go on, but this was a "good school" ...

A possibility, but not a certainty at all. There would have been more choices, remember. But as I said earlier, we'll never know.

Me for my part will not ask again for doing another portrait month, as I did before August Suggestions started. And Pity that this special month has caused so much strife and disappointment. Nevertheless: The dwarf scribe is fine for me. Most votes = winner. If you start counting all votes, which wanted something else, we had no or just few clear winners at all in all the years. But that's only my opinion of course. I only hope that amoung all that 'small round glasses' and 'beard' and 'hood or cap' something of Erchamion's face will still be recognizable then on the small dwarf figure! And mostly of all I hope Chris holds on to his Mithril style sculpted Dwarves! A overdone long, thick, braided beard will smear all that fine ink lines on the maps or parchments... LOL

I already said that I did not have a beard as long as the picture (fortunately my wife would say). Also I do not want to hide how beautiful I am ......
