It seem my suggestion is forgotten !!! Boromir on horse at the battle of Osgiliath.... Pity Master Mornedhel, this is (was :-( ...) my second favourite suggestion (really great for me) after my many times suggested idea of "Dunadain with hawk".. but this time on horse... hoouuummmm

well it seems mine with Dernhelm and Merry mounted was also considered too exotic... though the scale remains of a mounted figure and not a vignette , odd...
nevermind, an easterling or dunadan rider will have my vote, i still have to ponder which one? :/ not decided yet

Obviously we have to respect the decision to not include, but I would have thought with a second figure the size of a hobbit it could have been sculpted integral to the larger figure (a bit like the Uruks carrying Merry and Pippin). Never mind, all suggestions are worthy of coming 'first past the post'

However small a figure is, and though it may not entail much extra metal, I would imagine that it requires as much sculpting and design input as a large figure, and certainly more than, say, a bag or shield - ergo it constitutes a third figure. I'm sure that's the reason for such omissions.

Legolas and Gimli riding Arod won at a mounted suggestion figure month – but that was five years ago.

You're right, but that one was perhaps lucky! If it had been in this month's list, the indications are that it would have been dropped.

Chris said that multiple figures plus a mount was out.

well then ok but it would then seem fair to have a month allowing us to submit such ideas, and if they are considered vignette categories.... it's been years since we got a vignette right ? and in the past Chris took the liberty to transform into vignettes what was suggested as dual (beregond vs troll for example)
maybe one day we'll have the possibility to submit such suggestions again...

Your suggestion did not follow the rules for posting suggestions so it was overlooked. Hi Chris Which rule? To be sure I will not mistake again well alas master Mornedhel the rule is to put the suggestion in VERY visible manner (bold, color, big font) so that it is clearly retrieved when compiling the suggestions. This has been a rule for quite some time now and frankly I understand the necessity (as I am trying to compile very old years that's a mess to look at all posts to "find" out the suggestions itself over all the posts

Blimey, 48 votes! Is this the highest voting figure ever? Very impressive. With another three days to go maybe we'll even reach 50.

well we are far from the highest voting scores master barliman, back in the days we were reaching 65 votes... and quite often above 60

I genuinely don't remember that ("memory like a lumber-room, thing wanted always buried" etc...). But it's certainly the highest voting figure for several years, which is an encouraging trend.

Nice suggestions here already... Imho we need more "mounted" months, as the quality of the suggestions here imho surpasses the level of those on single minis. Well. As a fox with a sleeping hobbit counts as two minis (while the Arthedain hunter with the dog managed to sneak into a normal month), lets see how this little scene fares against these other gems: A fox sniffing around a sleeping hobbit
Wondering what is behind this story, and never getting wiser for it, this is one of the scenes that always come up in my mind when I think of the hobbits first leg of the journey - already on the move, but still in the safety of the Shire. Arthedain hunter with dog sneaks into normal month... ?! That regards my suggestion ago in August and I want to comment: The dog was suggested to be a puppy, no larger than a cat, futhermore attached to the arm of the ranger. That was the portrait month, no ordinary month! - though it was very ordinary - with lot's of trouble and discussion, you know what I mean. By the way: I really like the idea with fox and Hobbit But: What about the other two sleeping Hobbits, included in this scene in the novel? Will the other two Hobbits be suggested another time? Will they have a good chance to win then? I just wonder. ...it whould not be the first time that original double suggestions turned out to be very different in reality. Beregond battles Black Troll or the Passing of Elessar for example...
Let's see and never loose hope - deep roots are not reached by the frost.

I just saw that there was a "Ranger with a dog" (and often a character with a hawk), while a sleeping hobbit and fox counts as two. Was just wondering, not really complaining.
The other hobbits could be just multiples, or (hopefully) Chris realized that a large base with three integrated hobbits is not that much more work then a single bundle. Otherwise they will be suggested as single minis some day - perhaps one will suffice, when you put two of them on the left and right from the other.
Reading the actual text in the book... "A fox passing through the wood on business of his own stopped several minutes and sniffed. "Hobbits!" he thought. "Well, what next? I have heard of strange doings in this land, but I have seldom heard of a hobbit sleeping out of doors under a tree. Three of them! There's something might queer behind this." He was quite right, but he never found out more about this. -Fellowship of the Ring"
... its perhaps not even necessary to have sleeping hobbit with the fox at all - as the fox may well sniff them from a distance. If the pair does not win this round, I will suggest the fox as a single soon.
BTW: 50, and two days to go...

Of course I would love to do a vignette month and in December we are releasing MZ648 Galadriel with terrible aspect which is a vignette. But I want to make sure we catch up a bit more on the waiting list before adding extra complexity to Chris's workload. I believe you would agree with me that the backlog needs to be shortened first.

Your suggestion did not follow the rules for posting suggestions so it was overlooked. Hi Chris Which rule? To be sure I will not mistake again All suggestions MUST be clearly separate and highlighted from other text so that it does not get confused with a comment. There are times people say things like "I would love xxxxx that member xxxx posted years ago." Is that a submitted idea or simply a reference to someone elses idea. So for the record ALL ideas are to look like this. NAME OF IDEA. Supporting text for idea. Also while you can choose other colours please note that on a dark grey background it can be hard to see navy or dark green as easily as bright colours. I appreciate that maybe there are other schemes that you view the forum on but Chris is usually very rushed when he previews the forum so please make it easy to see what you are suggesting.
