We seem to be on schedule this month. Lovely. Thanks to all members who have taken time to participate either by submitting new ideas or commenting on the thread so far. All ideas got through, which is a pleasant start to the vote as I don't like disappointing anyone by having to tell them their idea did not qualify. There are eight contenders and as usual I will be looking to add two or three of these into the final round on the 23rd based on their popularity. Please remember you have one vote, and can comment to support or point out issues with ideas, even if you did not originally submit those ideas.

Thanks to all who supported Gollum. I'm sure he will be a nice addition to any collection.
I hope the other ideas will be resuggested.

Wainrider man with whip
The appendices mentioned incursions of the Wainriders in Gondor from 1851 TA, for almost a century. The appendices A mentionned that the Wainriders were a people, or confederacy, of Men from the East. They journeyed in great wagons, and their chieftains rode chariots in battle. In the Unfinished Tales, "Cirion and Eorl and the Friendship of Gondor and Rohan", it states that they camped in fortified camps of wagons. Their young women were also trained in arms, and they, along with old men and youths, stayed behind, able to defend their homes from attackers. The MZ670 Wainrider girl is the very first miniature representing this people (2018 December votes). To complete, I propose another Gypsy member : a man this time.
He is bearded and has long hair. His head is covered with a bandana tied behind and he wears a thick leather bolero, a wide fabric belt and large boots. He is armed with a whip that he wields in front of him and a short scimitar is passed through the belt.

Thanks to all who supported Gollum. I'm sure he will be a nice addition to any collection. I hope the other ideas will be resuggested. I can't say I was disappointed with the result Harry as I have a vision that maybe Beregond would be more suited to a vignette suggestion with Faramir and Bergil included .

Thanks David, I also whould have been happy, if Beregond had won. But just think about King Elessar with the white tree sapling, that was a single month suggestion too, wasn't it? We got Gandalf the White included. You never know.

Orc of the Great Goblin's host
Gollum needs something to eat and an orc would be a nice meal.

Tom Bombadil with the One Ring
From Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring Chapter VII In the House of Tom Bombadil
'Show me the precious Ring!‘ he said suddenly in the midst of the story; and Frodo, to his own astonishment, drew out the chain from his pocket, and unfastening the Ring handed it at once to Tom. It seemed to grow larger as it lay for a moment on his big brown-skinned hand. Then suddenly he put it to his eye and laughed. For a second the Hobbits had a vision, both comical and alarming, of his bright eye gleaming through a circle of gold. Then Tom put the Ring round the end of his little finger and held it up to the candlelight. For a moment the Hobbits noticed nothing strange about this. Then they gasped. There was no sign of Tom disappearing!
Tom laughed again, and then spun the Ring in the air – and it vanished with a flash. Frodo gave a cry – and Tom leaned forward and handed it back to him with a smile. As Frodo got the Ring back, he was suspicious and put on the One Ring to try, and the Hobbit became invisible... he wasn't seen by his Hobbit fellows but he was seen by Tom Bombadil for sure. He is. One of the big mysteries in the novel. Tom as single miniature standing with the Precious between his fingers holding it in front of his bright blue eye (paint job) or even the One Ring put on his little finger – Tom is still visible ! means he whould make a fine miniature. He should be pretty chubby – the fellowship miniature MS297 of Tom Bombadil with the badger-folk is superb.

Laketown soldier A soldier of Laketown, as led by Bard in the siege of the Lonely Mountain and later into the Battle of the Five Armies. Perhaps a longbowman standing in anticipation, or (as we have plenty of "Bard"-longbows) one of the "gleaming longswords", probably armed with shield and helmet but not much armour.

Merry Blowing the Horn of Rohan Previous suggestion: Merry raising the alarm in the Shire with the Hobbits. Wearing chain mail and helmet. Simple. It doesn't stand a chance against the Tom Bombadil suggestion which is excellent in my opinion.

There was a month once when little Hobbit Lady Belladonna Took (Baggins) defeated the mighty Dark Throne of Sauron by a single vote...

Well, I would be as surprised not to see Tom as Frodo was by actually seeing him. :-)
Its just one of these suggestions where you think "why could we have missed that - I want it NOW".

We are still a few suggestions shy of the minimum requirement for this month. Only a few days left.

Half-Orc of Isengard climbing a ladder, holding in his left hand his shield over his head for protection. He is wearing chain mail and a helmet. His sword is still in the sheath. There is single handed axe on a rope, hanging off his right wrist.

ELLADAN CARRYING A TORCH ALOFT: PATHS OF THE DEAD
This may seem a bit uninspired, but bear with me. It's actually my first tentative step towards getting Mithril's Baldur figure redesigned and re-released as part of a "three-piece" vignette" (i.e., a vignette entailing three stand-alone Fellowship figures voted for and produced individually in due course, I hope), hopefully comprising in time a crouching Aragorn, Elladan with torch and - though I'm sure the "powers that be" understandably won't be keen about this bit, since some 90-plus MS586 figs are still languishing in stock - a CORRECTLY posed Baldur, i.e. face-down with his hands scrabbling forwards and upwards (no door actually required!).
Of course, it would be very easy to explain the "current" Baldur's poor sales record being a consequence of the figure's inaccurate - OK, absolutely wrong - pose for this iconic moment in the book. I think Chris's concern at the time was that a face-down pose would be unpopular, but there may have been other reasons too.
Anyway, I shall now retire behind the bar in the Pony, put a saucepan on my head and pour myself a drink.

Due to unforseen circumstances, i.e. our dog 'trashing' my laptop, I have been unable to participate until today. So if still short of suggestions I will resubmit
Beregond in his role as Captain of the White Company of Ithilien.
Having been pardoned by King Ellessar for slaying Denethor's men, he is banished from Minas Tirith.
I imagine the figure garbed in silver mail with white livery and a long white cloak, perhaps wearing a tall helm with some form of feather crest.
In terms of pose, maybe a pose that indicates he is sharing a conversation with Faramir (off-screen), as Lord and faithful knight share memories in a private moment. Maybe his son Bergil is also present (again off-screen) having been made Faramir's Page-Boy.
Or maybe just as a proud Captain looking out over Ithilien?
