(UPDATE) sorry, fixed the vote now so you have two votes. Welcome back and Happy New Year everyone. Chris has sent me the new list and there are a few ideas that fell short of his scrutiny. He omitted the Isildur suggestion because it requires a desk and chair. Chris did compliment the idea and said it would be lovely for a multiple figure month however. The Smeagol/Gollum suggestion requires a goblin victim to make it work, and thus goes outsite this months rules. The Merry & Pippin, Frodo and Sam combinations with furniture are also not single figures.
Finally there seems to have been some confusion over the word "Sterling". Chris seems to think it means "Sterrrendei" which might mean Easterling.
PLEASE READ THIS PART FIRST BEFORE VOTING: Every other suggestion made it, so good luck to all of you. This vote is a blind vote, you will see the poll status after you submit your ideas. You have TWO votes, because there are two months involved. Watch carefully what the month is at the end of each suggestion. [DEC] equals December and [JAN] equals January. Put ONE vote into each month. If you vote for two ideas in the SAME month you only waste your vote as they will cancel each other out by raising two competitive ideas together. DON'T DO THIS PLEASE.
So remember to carefully read the list, take note of the month brackets and vote accordingly.
The next vote will be on Monday January 20th 2020. It will have the top favourites from EACH month. Due to the nature of a single poll, this can look a little odd. I will look at the highest voted idea from EACH month, regardless of how it is listed on the poll (as in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc). Tied ideas from the same month will go forward together if in 1st place and perhaps in 2nd place if there is only one in the lead (3 ideas per month max). Otherwise I will ask Chris to break a tie to avoid large tied idea counts.

For these two months, I take up old suggestions that are close to my heart... (DEC) Wainrider man with whipThe appendices A mentionned that the Wainriders were a people, or confederacy, of Men from the East. They journeyed in great wagons, and their chieftains rode chariots in battle. In the Unfinished Tales, "Cirion and Eorl and the Friendship of Gondor and Rohan", it states that they camped in fortified camps of wagons. Their young women were also trained in arms, and they, along with old men and youths, stayed behind, able to defend their homes from attackers. The MZ670 Wainrider girl mounted is the very first miniature representing this people (2018 December votes). To complete, I propose another Gypsy member : a man this time. He is bearded and has long hair. His head is covered with a bandana tied behind and he wears a thick leather bolero, a wide fabric belt and boots. He is armed with a whip that he wields in front of him and a short scimitar is passed through the belt. (JAN) Spider of Mirwood attackingFor the moment, there is only one Mirkwood spider reference (out of stock).... I suggest to complete this reference with a spider attacking. With both fangs visible, seem essential to me!

Dec: Merry at the battle of Bywater, with Horn and Bow Jan: Farmer Cotton at the battle of Bywater
In regards to that Skeleton horse, I decided not to buy it just to keep my collection complete. After well over 30 years I so parted with the idea of a complete Mithril collection. That done, I also decided not to buy any other miniature I do not like, and voila, here come two undead that are no longer for me.
I started collecting in 1988, buying and paiting my first minis when I was still in the navy. Whenever Mithril had a sale, I could ignore it because I had already bought anything I might want on release at full price. Not anymore. I just cancelled my autoship for anything undead or ghostly (or completely if that does not work). I will continue to participate here, as there are still many worthy ideas out to be done, but from now on I will simply skip suggestions that I do not like. That was, seriously, not an easy decision for me. Being a Mithril collector for 30 years was part of my hobby identity. The next time something that I dislike comes around, I will simply look away instead of ranting.

Er,that's very interesting to read Axel, as I took the same decision awhile ago. And all reasons for your decision that you mentioned I also can support. - Thank you very much for this. I also cancelled my autoshipment a while ago exactly for these same reasons.

Thanks, Theobald. Nice to see I am not alone in my grumpy ways :-) I hope that I can now be more relaxed when there are suggestions that I do not like, as in "undead" or "terrain". I simply skip them Hobbit style, having a cup of tea with biscuit.
Looking forward to the winter suggestions here, though I think that a "single vote on a double suggestion" would offer far more options to create mini vignettes of two individuals. With "two votes on single suggestions" you cannot be sure, and in praxis we just cramp two normal month into one process. Perhaps its still time to change the modus for this winter.

(DEC) Lady Galadriel singing and playing her harpFair Lady Galadriel, tall, slender long haired standing with a elegant, beautiful elven harp The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (Book Two) Chapter VIII Farewell to Lorien ...In the midst of the vessel sat Celeborn, and behind him stood Galadriel, tall and white; a circlet of golden flowers was in her (long and golden) hair, and in her hand she held a harp, and she sang. Sad and sweet was the sound of her voice in the cool clear air: I sang of leaves, of leaves of gold, and leaves of gold there grew:Of wind I sang, a wind there came, and in the branches blew.Beyond the Sun, beyond the Moon, the foam was on the Sea,And by the strands of Ilmarin there grew a golden tree.Beneath the stars of Ever-eve in Eldamar it shone,In Eldamar beside the walls of Elven Tirion. There long the golden leaves have grown upon the branching years,While here beyond the Sundering Seas now fall the Even-tears.O Lorien! The Winter comes, the bare and leafless Day;The leaves are falling in the stream, the River flows away.O Lorien! Too long I have dwelt upon this Hither ShoreAnd in a fading crown have twined the golden elanor. But if of ships I now should sing, what ship would come to me,What ship would bear me ever back across so wide a Sea?youtu.be/D-plobq34w8a certain member here (with awesome skills in creating LotR dioramas) may be or guess the reason for this suggestion...

(JAN) Isildur writing the record-scroll of the One Ring
I searched deep in the novel like Gandalf and my suggestion for the new year is a figure of Isildur – depicted not as Knight or Warlord – but in royal garments, sitting at a small table or desk, writing the scroll with a feather, the One Ring lies before him on the table. We have that wonderful miniature of the Dwarf-scribe (MZ651) of member erchamion – something like that could be great.
The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (Book Two) Chapter III The Council of Elrond
'The Nine, the Seven, and the Three;' said Saruman, 'had each their proper gem. Not so the One. It was round and unadorned, as it were one of the lesser rings; but its maker set marks upon it that the skilled, maybe, could still see and read.' ...
Gandalf: What hand save Sauron’s ever held this thing, ere it was lost? The hand of Isildur alone. ...
...'And Boromir, there lies in Minas Tirith still, unread, I guess, by any save Saruman and myself since the kings failed, a scroll that Isildur made himself. For Isildur did not march away straight from the war in Mordor, as some have told the tale.' ...
'But in that time also he made this scroll,' said Gandalf; 'and that is not remembered in Gondor, it whould seem. For this scroll concerns the Ring, and thus wrote Isildur therein:
The Great Ring shall go now to be a heirloom of the North Kingdom; but records of it shall be left in Gondor, where also the heirs of Elendil, lest a time come when the memory of these great matters shall grow dim.
'And after these words Isildur described the Ring, such as he found it.
It was hot when I first took it, hot as a glede, and my hand was scorched, so that I doubt if ever again I shall be free of the pain of it. Yet even as I write it is cooled, and it seemeth to shrink, though it loseth neither its beauty nor its shape. Already the writing upon it, which was as clear as red flame, fadeth and is now only barely to be read. It is fashioned in an elven-script of Eregion, for they have no letters in Mordor for such subtle work; but the language is unknown to me. I deem it to be a tongue of the Black Land, since it is foul and uncouth. What evil it saith I do not know; but I trace here a copy of it, lest it fade beyond recall. The Ring misseth, maybe, the heat of Saurons hand, which was black and yet burned like fire, and so Gil-Galad was destroyed; and maybe were the gold was made hot again, the writing would be refreshed. But for my part I will risk no hurt to this thing: of all the works of Sauron the only fair. It is precious to me, though I buy it with great pain.
When I read these words, my quest was ended. For the traced writing was indeed as isildur guessed, in the tongue of Mordor and the servants of the Tower. (Gandalf)

Dec: King Theoden and Ghan Buri Ghan Theoden, dressed in armor, sitting on a portable throne and talking with the Wose Chieftan, discussing the safest route to Minas Tirith. I realize I'm pushing it so maybe Theoden sitting in chair for December and Ghan Buri Ghan and another Wose sitting on ground for January.

Nice Idea but you left out poor Hobbit Merry, the esquire of Theoden, who is watching this whole scene... a oddity and pity that Merry never made it in the range since Gold Fellowship 2006 (save the one in the Lorien boat...)

(DEC) DAWLIN WITH ARMOR IN THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMY
(JAN)THE NECROMANCER
Sauron as The Necromancer It reappears in the west of Middle-earth approximately in the year 1000, when it hid in Dol Guldur, on a hill in the south of the Great Green Forest (hereinafter referred to as Black Forest), where it was known as "the Necromancer" (such and as narrated in the hobbit).

I will go for a ‘festive’ Middle-Earth theme this year .
December: From The Hobbit, the Captain of the Guard in Thranduil’s halls. I think this has been suggested before. The Captain is asleep in his chair, drunk on the rich wines of Dorwinion. He has a jug of wine in his left hand which is resting on the arm of the chair, his head is bent forward with hair hanging down, legs outstretched in front of him (crossed?). His right arm hangs limply down by his side with a goblet laying on the floor where it has fallen from his hand. I imagine in this instance that although he is Captain of the Guard, he need not be in armour, but his sword is hung over the back of the chair. This is at the point that Bilbo is about to take the keys from his belt to release the dwarves.
January: I will resubmit the Troll blowing a horn as the excesses of the Festive season need to be blown away to clear the mind of cobwebs. The troll could be present at the Black-Gates, or the Mines of Moria.

December - Faramir on the Pyre of Denethor
"Then Gandalf seeing the madness that was on him feared that he had already done some evil deed, and he thrust forward ... while Denethor gave back.... But there they found Faramir, still dreaming in his fever, lying upon the table. Wood was piled under it, and high all about it, and all was drenched with oil, even the garments of Faramir and the coverlets; but as yet no fire had been set to the fuel. Then Gandalf revealed the strength that lay hid in him; even as the light of his power was hidden under his grey mantle. He leaped up on to the faggots, and raising the sick man lightly he sprang down again, and bore him towards the door. But as he did so Faramir moaned and called on his father in his dream."
I picture this as a companion piece to the Madness of Denethor from several years ago. It's one of the emotional climaxes of the book, and I think the scene warrants representation in the Mithril line.
January - Smeagol Transitioning to Gollum
I'm not sure if there's a quote to fit this, but I think it would be interesting to see Smeagol corrupted by the One Ring, but not yet fully twisted into the creature we meet in the Hobbit. Perhaps he could be represented throttling his first goblin victim inside the tunnels of the Misty Mountains.

The only meaning of "sterling" or "stirling" in Middle English of which I am aware is as a medieval variety of English coinage. now pretty much obsolete.
Please, Master Orc, can you tell us what you had in mind when you used the term? Thanks.
