Thanks to all Fellowship members who took part in the current list of suggestions. Due to the delays, the voting rounds will be a little short but still perfectly possible to take part in. This round will end at the start of Monday July 27th UTC+1. The 2nd Round will run until August 4th. You will only see the current status of the poll after you submit your vote in this round. You have one vote so use it wisely.

Will July be the month of the spider? Spider of Mirwood attackingFor the moment, there is only one Mirkwood spider reference (out of stock).... I retry to suggest a spider attacking to complete this reference. With both fangs visible, seem essential to me! I'll wear you down in the end!

The Mouth of Sauron Unmounted Suggestion this month is for an unmounted version of The Mouth of Sauron as he stands showing the 'tokens' of Frodo's capture to the Captains of the West. "...though Aragorn did not stir nor move hand to weapon, the other quailed and gave back as if menaced with a blow. "I am a herald and an ambassador, and may not be assailed!" he cried. "Where such laws hold," said Gandalf, "it is also the custom for ambassadors to use less insolence. But no one has threatened you. You have naught to fear from us..." -- Book V, Chapter 10, "The Black Gate Opens" The Mouth had dismounted during the parley and brought forth Frodo's sword, elven cloak, and finally his Mithril-shirt so my concept is of a figure holding the Mithril-shirt in his raised right hand, while the cloak and Sting are held in his left. As per the description in the book he would have a 'lofty' helm and his face would be showing as it is described..."Then the Messenger of Mordor laughed no more. His face was twisted with amazement and anger to the likeness of some wild beast that, as it crouches on its prey, is smitten on the muzzle with a sting..... Then fear overcame his wrath. He gave a great cry, and turned, leaped upon his steed, and with his company galloped madly back to Cirith Gorgor. -- Book V, Chapter 10, "The Black Gate Opens" In terms of what he would be wearing under the cloak, mail or boiled leather armour? I believe that given his age he would have some form of archaic dress/armour.

Nice concept, I like it and I whould love to see a Mithril Miniatures - Mithril-Shirt but recording to the novel, it's not Sting that the Mouth has. It is Sam's Westernesse dagger from the barrow-wight adventure when the Hobbits were rescued by Tom Bombadil. Sting is in Sam's keeping after he has fight Shelob.

You're quite correct Harry and I should hang my head in shame LOL. I wasn't concentrating when I read the passage this morning as I was making notes for the sketch .

doesn't matter for the Mouth-figure, as every Sting on a previous Bilbo or Frodo miniature looks different anyway.

Now we have finally the very nice (and more correct) scene: MZ680 Lord of the Rings 'ELLADAN™ and ARAGORN™ on the Paths of the Dead' Fellowship vignette. Who is the corpse laying on the ground?
My suggestion is a figure of Baldor, son of Brego, when he was still alive – in fine Rohirrim clothes or even the garments descibed in the novel, clad in mail and Hauberk and belt. He is standing in the great Hall Meduseld, draining his large drinking horn, as he made his fateful vow.
Rohan: Prince Baldor’s fateful vow at Meduseld
Baldor also known as Baldor the Hapless, was the oldest son of Brego, 2nd Lord of the Mark, and brother of Aldor, 3rd Lord of the Mark. He was said to have passed along the Paths of the Dead, through the Dark Door under Dwimorberg. King Theoden said "A rash vow he spoke, as he drained the horn at the feast which Brego made to hallow new-built Meduseld, and he never came to the high seat of which he was the heir“.
After passing through the Dark Door, Aragorn found the bones of a mighty man. He had been clad in mail, and still his harness lay there whole; for the cavern's air was as dry as dust, and his hauberk was gilded. His belt was of gold and garnets, and rich with gold was the helm upon his bony head face downward on the floor. He had fallen near the far wall of the cave, as now could be seen, and before him stood a stony door closed fast: his finger-bones were still clawing at the cracks. A notched and broken sword lay by him, as if he had hewn at the rock in his last despair. Aragorn did not touch him, but after gazing silently for a while he rose and sighed. 'Hither shall the flowers of simbelmynë come never unto world's end,' he murmured. 'Nine mounds and seven there are now green with grass, and through all the long years he has lain at the door that he could not unlock.
Whither does it lead? Why would he pass? None shall ever know!’
This was, presumably, Baldor.
In an unfinished essay, Tolkien expanded upon Baldor's fate, stating that he made it as far as the door (which led to an old temple built by men who worshipped Sauron) before unknown enemies broke his legs, leaving him to die in the darkness.

Come on dear collector fellows please where are the ideas?
If there are not enough suggestions, there's nothing to vote on.

It does seem a bit quiet around here Harry (perhaps we can make a couple of suggestions each )

Bolg leading his army
The great new "Hobbit Box set" needs a further bad character. Bolg will make the Box set more complete. I see Bolg with a whip and a great mace. He wears shinpads of metal, a gauntlet and a flat helmet with two horns.

Boromir at the Council of Elrond Boromir standing, arguing and making his case at the Council of Elrond. Looking somewhat ragged from his journey and shaking a fist with one hand and the other on the hilt of his sword. His helmet is attached to his belt.

Arnorian Nobleman with Palantir
A resubmission of my idea for last month.
A high ranking Dunedain officer or official using one of the three palantiri of the Northern Kingdom.
Of the 3, the one at Weathertop (Amon Sul), might be better for a military commander to use?
Or, for the one at the Tower Hills, which only faced westwards, a Numenorean exile in the early years of the 3rd Age, gazing into the stone with regret.

Carc and Balin as kid
Carc was a raven who resided at Ravenhill and was the father of Roäc. Carc lived at Ravenhill with his unnamed wife over a century-and-a-half before the Battle of the Five Armies, and was likely the chief of the ravens. Balin recalls the "wise and famous" raven Carc and his wife and tells Bilbo that the ravens had brought them news and carried messages in exchange for bright objects "they coveted to hide in their dwellings."

CORSAIR OF UMBAR CROSSBOWMAN
Crossbows were weapons very used on warships, during the middle age. Seems appropriate for an Umbar crew.
