I hope everyone is keeping safe and staying sane under the current crisis. Mithril forges ahead and the first vote has now started and will run until next Monday (23rd). We appreciate all the new ideas and supportive texts and, as always, thank all members who take time to participate in our polls. Every vote counts so do not become apathetic in your involvement. The 2nd vote will begin on the 23rd and run until the end of the month. Please continue to support your favourite ideas in the comments section, even if you did not originally submit the idea yourself.

Wainrider man with whip
The appendices mentioned incursions of the Wainriders in Gondor from 1851 TA, for almost a century. The appendices A mentionned that the Wainriders were a people, or confederacy, of Men from the East. They journeyed in great wagons, and their chieftains rode chariots in battle. In the Unfinished Tales, "Cirion and Eorl and the Friendship of Gondor and Rohan", it states that they camped in fortified camps of wagons. Their young women were also trained in arms, and they, along with old men and youths, stayed behind, able to defend their homes from attackers. The MZ670 Wainrider girl mounted is the very first miniature representing this people (2018 December votes). To complete, I propose another Gypsy member : a man this time. He is bearded and has long hair (like the man on the right in the first photo). His head is covered with a bandana tied behind and he wears a thick leather bolero (like in the second photo), a wide fabric belt and boots. He is armed with a whip that he wields in front of him and a short scimitar is passed through the belt. Attachments:

Smeagol becoming Gollum
I had this idea pop up in my head, and I was thinking it has never been submitted before I think: After being chased by his own River tribe of hobbits, adter lurking in the dark because Light was beginning to hurt him, and just when he crawled and finally entered and lurked in the goblin caves and below to hide from the surface... Smeagol, still with some ragged clothes, and some samples of hair, half bent, hiding from the sun with one arm and grasping firmly "His Precious" on his chest (ragged shirt) in his other hand. The figurine would be a mix of the actual Gollum, and the only representation of Smeagol we have in the range on his boat: M83
I hope it finds some supporters, and that Chris likes the challenge, as it would really be a special one, even if quite small. (If it wins I leave Chris deciding how the base or surrounding could fit the drama of the scene)

Elf Guardian of Lorien holding up a small elven lamp
When Frodo came at last up on the flet he found Legolas seated with three other Elves. They were clad in shadowy-grey, and could not be seen among the tree-stems, unless they moved suddenly. They stood up, and one of them uncovered a small lamp that gave out a slender silver beam. He held it up, looking at Frodo’s face, and Sam’s. Then he shut off the light again, and spoke words of welcome in his elven tongue. Frodo spoke haltingly in return.

Gondorian infantry man wounded
The Battle of the Pelennor Fields is just over and the Haradrim are running away. His right flank is pierced by a spear he brokes at the middle. His helmet in hand and his sword is nowhere to be seen

Gríma throwing the palantír of Orthanc
Following the confrontation between Saruman and Gandalf at Orthanc. , Gríma mistakenly threw the palantír of Orthanc at the Rohirrim accompanying Gandalf, or possibly at Saruman himself, and so permitted its capture by Peregrin Took.

I would like to see an ordinary
Gundabad Orc Warrior
in a fighting pose, in the old M94 and M98 style.

Bolg, Orc-chief of Gundabad I see him in no fighting pose and without a helmet but holding a great mace.

The Necromancer’s Servant Now that the Necromancer of Mirkwood has been released, perhaps, given the pose, a companion-piece in the form of a servant kneeling or bowing before him receiving orders maybe, or even awaiting a judgement of doom to be made for some failure.... What form the servant would take I would leave up to Chris Tubb, but it could be of human form, or an unknown creature that haunts the deepest and darkest places of Mirkwood that surround Dul Guldur, maybe a werewolf, or a vampire-like creature in part bat-form. Size-wise the servant would be similar to a standard human figure.

Thorin alert with bow ready.
"In this way they were soon all safely on the opposite shore, at the edge of the Arroy or delighted. Dwalin had just hurried out, the rope wrapped around his arm, and Bombur (still grumbling) was about to follow him when something Ahead came a noise like hooves. Suddenly, from the twilight, a flying deer came out. He charged at the dwarves and struck them down, and He immediately ducked to jump. He passed over the water with a big leap, but did not reach the shore unscathed Thorin had been the only one still kept alert and as soon as they reached land he had prepared the bow and had put an arrow, in case the guardian of the boat suddenly appeared. He quickly fired at the beast, which collapsed on reaching the other shore. The shadows devoured her, but they heard a muffled sound of hooves finally extinguished. "
The Hobbit. Chapter 8 Flies and Spiders.
I don't recall there being a mithril miniature of an archer dwarf, not even in MW347 Iron-Hill Dwarves Warband. That is why I propose Thorin, in traveler's clothing, alert and with his bow at the ready, as described by Tolkien.

If it were a vampire in its bat form it would make an interesting miniature, there is no such vampire in the Mithril collection either. In a submissive attitude, well kneeling before the nicromancer as you say or as warning him and signaling the arrival of the hosts of the White Council.

about the Necromancer servant, in the MERP RPG and CODA, there was a man, name the Grimburgoth, who was serving the Necromancer (or Khamul, the second Nazgul "easterling king", who was ruling in Dol Guldur later when Sauron was in Mordor) you can have the link there : notionclubarchives.fandom.com/wiki/Grimburgoth

It continues to astonish me how many figures people can come up with that have yet to be represented by Mithril (or, come to that, anyone else). This month's list is another very original collection. Nearly all are highly original and extremely worthy candidates.
The decision regarding which one to support wasn't easy, since there are several in particular that I'd love to see realised, but the Necromancer's servant sounds the most interesting.
