Thanks to all members who have taken the time and given their creative ideas this month. Some suggestions are rejected for various reasons. I posted separate posts addressing them below. The current list is sufficient to proceed. This vote will expire on Tuesday 22nd. A second vote will begin the next day. Standard practice for 1st round is that you only see the status of the poll after voting.
Please remember you can always add more support for any idea, even if you did not originally submit it, if you like the idea.
Any idea that failed to meet the criteria, might be able to be submitted under different circumstances, depending on why it was rejected. Please don't be upset if your idea did not make it through this month.

Attacking Bat-Creatures I have a feeling that I know what the Mounted figure suggestion will be for this month so I will suggest a complimentary release for MZ695 – Mirkwood Elf Fighting Arial Foe. Based upon M108: The Silent Shadow (the way the figure billows forward) my suggestion is for a ‘pillar’ of attacking bats that are swarming towards the Mirkwood Elf. The design I envisage as being one of two options: 1. The bats are engulfing another elf, or even a Lake-Town warrior (this is to give support to the pillar of bats), or 2. The pillar is made up entirely of bats, and ideally these would be large enough to have some nice detail on them, I would even suggest that they are not true bats but may have some ‘twisted’ features that are almost human – this would give the impression that a ‘dark-force’ had corrupted some creatures. With the new MZ way of designing figures this is possibly a lot more feasible now (sketch is a concept idea )

Beorn's animals
This month, I propose again a rather unusual miniature: Beorn's animals but which could also be associated with Radagast or even Tom Bombadil. This is a deer with a squirrel on his back, a little bird on his head and a rabbit at his feet. Nothing heroic or historical (no reference to a character named in a book) but a subject that seems to me perfectly in the spirit of Tolkien. This proposal is more in accordance with a single miniature, but the set of small animals composing it can be assimilated to the complexity of a mounted miniature. Will it pass this month?

Thorin (or any of his company) on a Pony.
Thorin or one of the other dwarves riding a pony on their adventure to the Lonely Mountain.
"That's how they all came to start, jogging off from the inn one fine morning just before May, on laden ponies..."

Lossoth hunter fighting back an attacking North Bear (polarbear)
The Lossoth were a remnant of the Forodwaith that survived the ravages of the end of the First Age. They dwelt in the far northwest of Middle-earth during the time of The Lord of the Rings, in a land of bitter cold. The Lossoth were described as using bones tied to their feet as ice skates, and were a semi-nomadic people. They were not akin to the Edain, but more like to the Men of Dunland.
ICE MERP sourcebook "Creatures of Middle Earth", page 74: North Bears ... size: 8-9 ft.
Huge, pale gray or white bears found around the Ice Bay of Forochel, the powerful Megliformen (Q. "North Bear"; pl. "Megliformeni") are usually solitary creatures. They have an excellent sense of smell and are superb swimmers. Subsisting primarily on seal and fish, they range across well-defined coastal territories. These parcels measure about one hundred square miles. Since they are huge, strong, and can smell intruders up to two miles away, they have little trouble policing their domain. During the brief northern summers, the Megliformen roams outside his or her range in search of a mate. During the long days, they also gorge themselves on roots and berries.

It seems to me we need all of Thorin and Co. on foot and mounted.

Haradrim standard bearer on horse
at the battle of Pellenor Fields
"And he looked out, and in the growing light he saw the banner of the king, and that it was far ahead of the battle with few men about it. Then he was filled with a red wrath and shouted aloud, and displaying his standard, black serpent upon scarlet, he came against the white horse and the green with great press of men; and the drawing of the scimitars of the Southrons was like a glitter of stars."
We miss figures from the terrible cavalry of harad, which counterattacked the rohirrim at the famous battle...

Well, already suggested :-)
The Rider of Rohan blowing his horn depicts to me the iconic climax of the book. Perhaps this time. The last "mounted" vote it lost against the undead rider, which is for me far less iconic for Tolkiens work.

With the new MZ way of designing figures this is possibly a lot more feasible now. Well, this one would complete my suggestion (initialy the Mirkwood elf fought a war bat). I hesitate to propose it but as it's a mounted month, i prefer siggest a swan boat (if it's possible to realize)

This figure may not be missing in the Mithril range:
Mounted Dunlending Chieftain
What the Dunlendings still need, is a mounted Chieftain to lead them to Rohan.
Or to Cardolan, in order to come to the aid in the war against Angmar (or to support Angmar, the choice is yours)! So please don't give him a white hand mark, as it would limit its use.
As usual with chiefs, he has more money to spend for his equipment and so he may have more goodlooking furniture than the common Dunlending warriors (chainmail, coat, helmet...)
Thanks to all who wants to support this idea.

The watcher at the water
This strange creature needs a lot of imagination how it looks. There are several sugested forms of it but the only thing we have is a description in the books. One way it looks like a kind of octopus and others looks like the roots of plant or tree. Anyway it is one of the most important parts of the travel of the Fellowshipof the Rings and as far as I know never a serious try was done in creation this item.

My second suggestion would be
Lothiriel (daughter of Imrahil). Imrahil is present several times MX463; M484, Christmas gifts 1999 and 2017. However not is relatives. She became later the wife of King Eomer the 18th king of Rohan. He was also the nephew of King Theoden. Elfwine the Fair was the only child. Maybe Lothiriel could be sculpted together with Elfwine.

Another idea is to create a hobbit of the Shire by the name of Hugo Boffin husband of Donnamira Took.
I could be a part of the small people of the Shire to create with already made other figures the community of the Shire folks

Henk, I think you will find that this has been rejected by Chris on more than one occasion due to complexity etc. Also, the round is for one suggestion only so you may be asked to choose a favourite from those you have submitted
